Do you recommend getting the (male hormone advanced test), I'm 58 and have all the symptoms. I'm just curious to why are there four different test if low testosterone is the treatment.

@@claudiodominguez. Honestly, if you're just curious to know if you have low T, just go with the most basic test or the 2nd test which will also tell you your estrogen level. Use code COHEN20 to get 20% off. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I also had very low libido, Mood changes, just not myself at all. I had gained a ton of weight, loss of muscle, hair loss & just tired all of the time. The final thing was my nipples started feeling tender underneath... Which lead to me finally thinking i had a major problem. I am 5'6" tall my weight was always between 145- 160. Over 2.5 yrs i had shot up to 265lbs!! I wasn't in gym, i was still walking, riding bike 10 miles a day... No changes. After going to the endocrinologist, i found out I have hypogonadism & my testosterone levels were under 100. 1 month after starting testosterone cypionate, I felt less depressed & motivated to change. I began going to the gym. After 8 months of being on trt, eating healthy (cut out sugars, complex carbs, soda, no fast food, no breads or pasta). Eggs, oatmeal, yogurt, grilled chicken breast, white fish, tuna, salmon, fruits , vegetables, yogurt & intermittent fasting. 1 got to 176lbs solid. My arms changed from 12"-17" & I could see my 6 pack!l A total body transformation. I was 265 soft to 180 solid n feeling great!! Yes I go to the gym 6 days a week & put in a ton of hard, hard work. TRT treatment changed my whole outlook on life. I made a main goal to reach. Then at the same time I made small goals like lose 10 lbs., fit into an xl shirt, finally reach weight under 200lbs on scale, alot of times i didnt see the weight loss on the scale because i was also gaining muscle. I love your channel. It is informative & to the point. Keep up the Good Work, its appreciated!!

Depression & lack of motivation for over a year, no libido (physical and mentally effected), zero energy, lost all muscle "gains" from college. I just want to say thank you for creating this content. As someone who recently started this journey, it's comforting to find people like you who are willing to talk publicly about ongoing physical & mental changes and the effects of TRT. *I currently take 100/mg of cypionate a week, and as of now have only really seen (very) positive changes with my libido. Hello, I lost my wife of 30 years almost 3 years ago. Also, I have a high functioning autistic adult son that lives with me. In addition I am a diabetic was on insulin and meds. I knew after the passing of my wife that I had to get healthier because my son needs me around as long as I can be. I’m in my early 50’s, 5’10”. I was around 320lbs and so very tired, depressed, difficulty sleeping, and getting weaker physically......just basically a mess. I got on a low carb diet and have lost down to the 250’s in weight on just the diet alone, and have been able to get off all my insulin. I still take my diabetic pills, but have been able to keep my blood sugar levels down with just those and diet. I still though have noticed that as far as strength, I’m still no where I feel I should be. So I have started going to the gym and hired a physical trainer that works with me and my son ( my son is in his early 20’s and in good shape, but thought it would be a great activity we could do together). After seeing how weak I had gotten in the amount of weight I could lift, I decided to get my testosterone checked, and it came back this week that I am indeed low in testosterone. So I start TRT next week and am hoping I see the results like what all you guys have been reporting on this page. Looking so forward to the journey ahead !

I've been on trt for a year now. Yes I have more muscle and lost 10 pounds immediately, but then, I quit drinking at the same time. I was also on Wellbutrin (for years). 2 weeks ago I stopped taking the wellbutrin cuz I hear that testosterone can act as an antidepressant, why take both.. I now have the full, real effects of the testosterone not clouded over by meds. I'm feeling fine. I get an injection tomorrow, hoping to feel even better. I'll try to report back in a few weeks. Thanks guys

I found myself tired, even after a good night's sleep. Taking frequent naps. Couldn't get motivated to take on projects. I'll turn 70 in tow months. I was discouraged to think that this is how I'd be for the rest of my life. A friend told me she'd gotten on TRT and it was working for her. So I got tested. Sure enough. Low T. Doctor put me on weekly injections. Just had my second injection today. I did some errands and felt really "up" today. May have been psychological due to that second injection, or it might have been a little high from the injection itself. Don't know why, but I enjoyed the rush of energy and the good mood. I was singing with the B-52's in the car. Bottom line is that I am optimistic that my energy and motivation will return. I'm entering my end game now and I want it to be my "Golden Years" rather than my "Long, Cold Winter." Fingers crossed. I watched your early videos. Your story has really encouraged me. :-)

@@trtcommunity9248 Will do. I did have a previous meeting because I was working with a reproduction specialist with my wife. This is where they found low testosterone. The doctor put me on Clomid, but I did not like what it did. I was good for a few weeks and a month in I started having terrible mood swings. I think it was the drop in estrogen. I stopped taking it and found a new doctor. I will say my primary care didn't want anything to do with this. She just checked my thyroid (AGAIN). It is always normal. I got the same advice that T gives men heart attacks, so avoid it, but she had no problem with me reaching out to a specialist. I am researching TRT and heart attacks at the moment. There are a lot of really interesting studies debunking this. At this time my levels are around 250 ish.

31 years old, 475ng/dl, working out for 8 years now, eating clean and have a low % of body fat. My doc says for my age and for being that active my test level are too low. In the early 30 your level should be around 7 - 8. He also said now imagine I would not be working out and also consider it drops in the evening. I consider doing a TRT, because I have common low T symptoms that are restricting quality of life. Guys: The value is only one value. The patient must be treated, not the number. Even if you are in the lower third and still in the normal value, this does not mean that you should not be treated. Symptoms do not come with the number.

@@benjamin5026 I don't know which country you come from, but in Germany there are private doctors, it's a little easier to get there. In the end, they don't just look at the number, but also at the well-being of the patient. If a treatment with testosterone leads to an improvement of quality of live, there is no reason why not to try it. As far as I know, free testosterone plays a much greater role than totals. And since I suffer from Hashimoto, an underactive thyroid gland, I want to counteract the side effects with testosterone. I have read studies where this has been very successful.

I knew when I guestimated that I was feeling down more often than feeling up or neutral COMBINED. Of course there were the libido-related issues, but I wasn't sure how much of a red flag they were. I had also felt like quitting my somewhat physical job and finding a desk job where I only lifted pieces of paper. Looking back, difficulty sleeping was a surprisingly important symptom. I can now sleep so much better, and it actually helps to clear my head (brain-fog). I recently learned that sleep and dementia are related, so I suspect I have increased the quality of my life in many, many ways.

I am 39 years old and found out I have hormonal issues a few months ago. Notice I didn't say "low T". My testosterone level is considered normal (400s). My gonadotropins, however, are not nornal. I have testicular failure. The way I discovered I have a hormonal issue was very round about. First I was diagnosed with low bone density for age aka osteoporosis. This led me to do some research into reasons MEN get Osteoporosis. I found a syndrome called Klinefelter's. The symptoms sounded A LOT like me. The only way to prove it is to get a genetic test, so I did. Turns out my research was spot on. I was diagnosed as 47 XXY/Klinefelter's Syndrome. People with Klinefelter's have hypogonadism and are infertile. My endocrinologist didn't want to treat me with TRT because my testosterone is "normal", despite all the known issues I'm dealing with - the genetic disorder and Osteoporosis. I went back to see my Dr just last week and told him all the symptoms I'm going through: fatigue, brain fog, depression, and more. He changed his mind and wrote me a prescription for Androgel. Problem is insurance denied coverage. We are appealing it. I wrote an appeal letter just today. I'm hoping that I will be able to get on TRT sooner rather than later. I'm hopeful that TRT is what my body has been waiting for all these years. I'm hoping things will really turn around for me. In the meantime, I am enjoying your videos. Thanks for the help!

I really appreciate you putting yourself out there for the benefit of others. This is an issue that, at 35 years old, I would've never expected to happen so early. To kind of put my nuts on the chopping block, so to speak, I noticed something was seriously wrong when I was romatically involved with a RIDICULOUSLY hot 45-year-old woman and I lost my erection...twice. It DESTROYED me inside. I immediately became insecure and self-conscious, and our romantic fling fizzled out shortly thereafter (almost solely due to me pulling away from her). I went to the doctor's and had a full blood panel run because I was worried that I might be diabetic and diabetes runs in my family. After what felt like the longest 2 days of my life, I received a call from my doctor's office informing me that I'm not diabetic (whew!), but that my testosterone levels "WERE a little low". I immediately made a follow-up appointment to talk about what actions we should take, but I ended up chickening out -- for what reason, I don't really know. Maybe it was my brain's way of saying "if you ignore it, maybe it'll go away". Anyway, after listening to your story and the guts that took (not to mention the dozens of others in the comments who've experienced the same issues), I'm going to make an appointment and take care of this problem before it gets any worse. Much respect, sir.

Loosing your hair is not a sign of low testosterone. Testosterone is 5 alpha reduced to DHT which caused hair loss (if genetically predisposed) Therefore more Test means more DHT.
@davidomeara4704
@davidomeara4704 5 лет назад
@Mr Bones Ninja Maker No its not, that is complete nonsense. As explained above testosterone is reduced to dihydrotestosterone (a much more potent androgen that is expressed) via the 5 alpha reductase enzyme. There is a large presence of 5 Alpha reductase in the prostate and scalp of those predisposed to male pattern baldness. The reason it happens happens slowly as we age is due to the nature of hair loss. It progressively thins and often isn't noticeable until you have lost roughly 40% of your density.
@thepigmanlives6721
@thepigmanlives6721 5 лет назад
Mr Bones when you lose hair when your older it’s most likely male patter baldness, which the main key player is DHT. The higher the testosterone the higher the DHT. Some people are more sensitive to DHT then others.

It depends on androgen sensitivity within the scalp. Therefore, a male with lower T and high conversion to DHT can easily lose hair if sensitivity is high.

Hy community :) It started over one and a half year ago. Those times I was nearly horny every day at the age of 38, I was training hard and had an athletic body - and no, I never took any steroids. Gradually I nearly suddenly took on much weight, about 6 kg in some weeks. I felt lethargic and even today I feel like crap, nearly no libido, low energy, very irritable and I cant really describe but an overwhelming fatigue all day long, regardless I slept long enough. Long story short: After my blood work was done, my doctor asked me If I ever have taken steroids *ROFL* :D My test was about 257 in total, LH about 3,5. I was told to relax more. After 2 months I took it again and I was at 431, still feeling shit, but better. Now I tested and I was on 226 total. So my doctor wants me to put on TRT now :D I am excited and happy when I think how I felt with 20 ;-) But on the other hand I still cant understand how rapidly my overall health dropped, apparently only by Testosterone... so I will take some more research and then hopefully get on TRT.

I'm 29 and my blood work put me at 309. Test result says if you were fasting or did your blood test in the early morning hours then your blood test shows an increase of 10-30%. Meaning if you subtract the 15% average that puts me in 260. Been having severe fogs and DP/DR for the last 8 months now. Forgive my slow reply. When I first got tested my T level came back at 183 if I recall. My insurance at the time required a 2nd test two weeks later. That test came back at 202. My doctor said he recommends TRT for anyone with 300 or less. It's good that your doctor is running more tests. He's trying to figure out if you have primary or secondary hypogonadism (low T). Primary means the problem is with your testes. They're getting proper signals for the brain, but they just can't make proper amounts of T anymore. TRT is the answer for that. Secondary is when your testes are fine, but they're not getting proper signals from something that's going on up by the brain. Clomid works in this case. Hope this helps. Can you just clarify something for me? I was under the impression that male pattern baldness is due to the effects of DHT in those men who have a genetic predisposition (the baldness gene). Whether the rate/degree of hair recession is related to the level of DHT, I am unsure. But, how can this be explained by testosterone deficiency? After all, both men with high testosterone levels and low testosterone levels will have some of their testosterone converted to DHT (by 5-alpha reductase). DHT, which is derived from testosterone, promotes facial hair and chest hair, but on the scalp hair it has the OPPOSITE effect: it causes miniaturisation of the scalp hair follicles (but only in those men who have the baldness gene). In fact, some hypogonadal men who needed to go on TRT experienced frontal and temporal hair recession as their DHT levels increased from the TRT. So, I am confused: how can low testosterone (hypogonadism) result in hair recession on the scalp, when DHT is mainly responsible, and even those men who have low testosterone will produce at least some DHT.

3 years ago all the classic symptoms started. Fast forward those 3 years and the brain fog, fatigue, motivation gave me the worst anxiety i believe to due me thinking that something was seriously wrong with me. Got inside my own per say and thought that i was literally dying lol....THATS when i knew i had to seek help. Called up my normal doctor and WHAMMO, completely disregarded my request for hormone blood test. Instead gave me psych meds and ordered me to go to a sleeping clinic to test my sleep. I was pissed and fired his ass on the spot. Did some more research on TRT just to be sure about my suspicions, found a tele medicine clinic and now waiting on blood results.

What do you think caused your low testosterone problem?
@trtcommunity9248
@trtcommunity9248 26 дней назад
I’m not really sure. It could just be something that was bound to happen based on my genetic makeup. Some people speculate that the rise in men being diagnosed with low testosterone is due to our processed foods. Others think it’s the chemicals in the deodorants, shampoos, and clothing detergents. Still others think it’s the signals that our laptops and cellphones put out since we keep those items so close to our man parts. I’m just not sure. What do you think?

Thanks for watching and for your question. As far as professional sports that would actually do blood tests, when it comes to T levels, they're more than likely looking for abnormally high levels of T. Since TRT is just replacing what's supposed to be there anyway, your T level shouldn't be abnormally high when doing it according to your doctor's protocol. Hope this helps.

I took the natural route. I tested @ 200 ng/dl at age 18. Fast forward 8 years, and my levels increased to 940 ng/dl. If your levels don't budge after continuous effort, then resort to TRT. I'm glad I didn't go with TRT because I've been able to learn a lot about hormones. I've developed my own system to maintain higher testosterone. Most people without genetic defects can reasonably recharge their levels within range... The main concept that i follow is the Law of Conservation of Energy.

I am 43 years old last year I had my testosterone check which was 345. My doctor said that this is in normal range but in my eyes I feel that this is a low end of the range and I don't think that she would want to give me anything to increase it such as HRT. I don't feel I am losing my hair and I am still working out. Great video. Quick question. Your doctor seemed to want to make sure it wasn’t something else before putting you on shots of T. What were the things he checked you for that it may have been?

He also checked liver function, blood sugar levels (for diabetes), cholesterol levels, and a few other things I honestly couldn't interpret from the paperwork. Had I gone to a specialist I'm sure the blood work would have been even more thorough, but once he saw that my T levels were low he just opted to begin me on TRT. Turns out that was the solution.

Probably not. I've never heard of that.

So should a place prescribe a AI and a script for your balls with the TRT or is that a red flag.
