Low tide shelling the 10,000 Islands is something I was looking forward to for weeks. I love low tide shelling and to have low tide, great weather, a can do attitude plus a kayak and I was in business. In retrospect, I just wish I had checked my battery cord before I left. This was the first time I ever had this problem. I thought hey, no problem, I have a second camera and that camera was giving me SD card errors so I was stuck on an island without a camera. Almost as bad as losing one of my paddles!
Speaking of losing things, I was very excited to finally have a good system to move my kayak, however my system gave way on the way home and I was really, really nervous for a good 30 minutes trying to get my kayak home without destroying it or causing an accident. I will be honest - that was not fun, however I do have plans to visit a kayak retailer to have a proper mount installed. I will not let this set me back!
