Skilled jobs aren't much better either. They don't pay enough to live here so for the young people in say trades they leave from somewhere with higher wages and/or lower cost of living.
No minimum wage jobs can be filled by litterally anyone get a skill minimum wage going up increases costs for everyone and the people who have skills that make more then min wage Don't get an increase to compensate for higher min wage and general higher cost of goof associated with the increase in min wage min wage goes up everything goes up with it but you wanna keep chasing that imaginary liveable wage the only way to get a liveable wage if you weren't born with a silver spoon is to make sacrifices and gain skills no one is gonna ever help you especially not the government change your attitude and stop wishing for handouts

To make it work out in everyone's best interest I think we should aim at ensuring safe housing, clean water, healthy food, quality education, and full health care for everyone, while planning future development to be in harmony with the Earth and with each other...so people could get paid a living wage working towards an ensured basic standard of living and achieve self actualization in the process.
Not everyone has the means to pay and complete school. Many people including you need businesses that should be treating many employees better. There are many examples of unfair workplaces in our world this is just one.
@Nick Lang move companies within what you like to do and learn everything inside and out. That's how you earn more money you don't need school to do that.
Someone still needs to do those low wage jobs. They're low skill therefore low wages. We should have housing for everyone at different levels of income.
CERB payments not looking so good anymore eh… I didn’t collect any since I held a job throughout pandemic… but I’m sure the people complaining now were the ones who collected CERB when they could have gone a bit out of their comfort zone to continue working a different job etc… I blame free loaders and the mismanagement of funds by government for this mess… corporate greed also plays a role, so I guess it’s a perfect storm… hope you saved and came out on top like some… people need to understand… raising min wage is a short term fix… small business who employee min wage earners will close their doors… then where will you get your higher min wage job then?
