There is a screen inside of the faucet that catches any debris in your water. I show you how to clear it and get your faucet working like new again! Here's the model I was working on.

I have a similar delta faucet that I just installed and it started doing this almost immediatly. Had a hard time getting the old one out and got distracted, forgot to flush the lines before connecting new faucet. Tried getting ahold of Delta customer service, unsuccessful. Watched this video, went and took mine apart and found debris, Boom ! Thanx for the video post.

Thank you.. you just saved me a $150 plumber charge, and it took less than 5 minutes. I had just changed a water filter and suspected a blockage in the aerator, but couldn't figure out how to unscrew the head. Your video was very helpful and clear.

Thanks for the video. We had a delta 9183 installed with new countertops three months ago. Flow was so bad that I figured I would have to replace the $600 faucet with a cheap one just to get some flow. Found your video and was pretty sure that wasn't my problem since the faucet was new, but what the heck, I took the head off, cleaned out a very small amount of grit and flow is easily doubled. Thank You.

Thank you for the clear instruction on how to unlatch and unscrew the head. Wasted time on other videos which did not show this important detail. My faucet clogged after I flushed my water heater tank. This solved the problem. Thanks.

Thank you! Installed a brand new Leland in our kitchen today and experienced low pressure. Removed the spray head just like you showed us, and it was clogged full of gritty, carbon-ish stuff. Cleaned it out, and works great! Something else that you should check: My cold water pressure was still only half that of the hot. I removed and inspected the water supply valve from underneath the sink. It was badly corroded inside. Replaced it with a new valve, and pressure is now equal for hot and cold.

Big thanks!!! My wife has been nagging me for months to fix the slow flow and what I thought would be an expensive replacement cost was no more than 5 minutes of following your instructions and voila...the same black gunk was clogging the faucet. I won't say a thing to her but just let her be surprised this morning that one of the honey-dos is done. Thanks again.

I have a Delta Ashton Faucet and had little to no flow. I unscrewed my main lines to ensure I was getting pressure/flow from my manablock (great flow). I narrowed it down to my faucet. Not knowing or how to troubleshoot my faucet I typed in Delta Ashton Faucet troubleshoot. Your video popped up right away. I followed your instructions in unscrewing the faucet head. I removed the small screen with needle nose pliers, I used some air to blow off not only the screen but also blew compressed air into the faucet head. SUCCESS! I have my flow back, I was over thinking but my process of elimination and your video I'm all dialed in brother 👊🏽

Thanks very much. Non-pro tip: If you're having difficulty keeping the tab pressed in and unscrewing at the same time, hold the tab in with some pliers, and you get a little leverage that way too.

Thank you for the video. I had the same problem but it was not the same cause. I removed all the visible debris and it did not solve the problem. I watched several video and none of them tell how to get the in-side screen filter out. Mine had a little nipple sticking out in the middle of that screen so I used a pair of new needle nose pliers with good teeth. In my case the teeth were cross hatched. I grabbed the nipple and the screen came out easily. I couldn't see any daylight through the screen so I brushed it until daylight was visible. I replaced the screen and got perfection.

Yay!! Thank you!!! Your tip worked. I was so upset this new faucet less than a year old has already turned to garbage and I thought I needed a new one. I did exactly as you did and pulled out some black pieces of hard foam type material that was in 14 good sized pieces that I counted and some very small crumbs that I did not count. What is that ? Why is Delta putting those cheap pieces to break down so fast. Mine is no joke less than a year old the exact one pictured in your video. Anyway thank you it’s back to working and I’m happy we saved almost $400.00 having to replace it. Hopefully wherever those chunks came from doesn’t cause some secondary problems in the future. Thanks again and you had a new sub and 👍 from me.

Oh, and even a fully-retracted hose can retract back on you... I usually loosely (but securely) tie the hose to the faucet itself with a piece of scrap towel or a rubber glove. At very least, drape a wet towel over the end of the hose to weigh it down to minimize the chance of it getting away from you.

Thanks for the video - super helpful! I have a similar Delta model to yours that I installed a couple months ago, and it had nearly the EXACT same pieces of rubber inside it...same type and size...what are the odds? I am guessing this is could be a manufacturing issue with Delta if we experienced the exact same problem. In any case, thank you so much! Your video allowed me to fix my problem within a couple minutes.

Yeah, a bit suspicious when we all have the same failure. As long as we don't have leaks it's all good.
@plasmac9

How do you take apart the entire faucet head? My issue is that stuff got through that white screen and got stuck within the head. It never made it to the aerator in the front. So even when I take the head off and try and clean it the white piece on the inside it clean and the aerator on the opposite side is clean. But when I turn the water on when the head is off I get full pressure. When I put the head back on and turn the water on I get very low pressure. So the issue is something INSIDE the head. How do I take it apart?

I would suppose not, as it's just at the end of the faucet in my video.. I'd look for a blockage elsewhere.

I'm wondering if you have a blockage further back? That o-ring might have lodged in there. You might have to remove the faucet and perhaps run a brush through? That's my best guess.
