Just wanted to say that you saved my ass and helped me do pretty well on an anatomy practical I was super worried about. Thanks for the great videos!

Thank you for making learning the muscles of the foot easy. I have a learning disability and far from dumb. I do envy people with photographic memories stoned and remember everything when I have to reread what I read.

We had someone with a learning disability in my program, and they are now the head of a huge company. Probably doing the best from my entire class. Best wishes on your journey as well 🙏

Love your videos. They are very useful for learning all the different muscles especially for someone who has problems with remembering all the different names.

Most people have trouble remembering all these names, don't sweat it. You'll get the hang of it 💪

I am a huge fan of your videos and mnemonics so thank you, first of all! I want to note that in my anatomy class, we've learned "Tom, Dick & Harry" as the Tibialis POSTERIOR, FLEXOR Digitorum Longus and FLEXOR Hallucis Longus (not tib anterior and extensors as your video says). Just a heads up to students.

I use Tom, Dick & Harry for the flexors in my next video on the posterior compartment as well, but I think you can use it here also to remind yourself of some of the muscles of the anterior compartment and to better understand the symmetry at play between these compartments, which helps me tie together the structure of the entire lower leg in my mind. Now if you wanted to get specific about the structures and order of the tarsal tunnel, I would use the mnemonic "Tom Dick And Very Nervous Harry" for the FLEXORS specifically as well as the nerve/vessles, so in that case I would definitely be talking about the flexors/tibialis posterior only. But in the end, just go with whatever helps you remember all this stuff and is the least confusing, of course!

Yes! It was the tarsal tunnel we used that for. But I like this version too because it helps me to remember that both Toms (anterior and posterior) have their own Dick and Harry! I remember one set is just normal and the other set includes a "very nervous Harry" because they're part of the tarsal tunnel (claustrophobic) and he and Dick are "flexing" their muscles which takes up more space in the tunnel and makes him more nervous. 😂 And both Harry's are hiding! So thank you again for this and all your videos! You've really helped me so much this term.

Haha, that's a good mnemonic with claustrophobic nervous Harry! Keep that up and you could teach some day 💪
