Lower your Towncar for $25! | DIY cut springs

Welcome back!
Today we are looking at lowering the Lincoln Towncar. This process is most likely similar for any of the Panther Body cars.
I got lucky and snagged some stock 2014 mustang spring for only $25, but I was able to find them online brand new for around $45-$65. Cutting the front springs was nerve-racking, but this car is super common, so finding new stock springs would be super easy and able to convert back to stock in short order.
Let me know what you think about the new stance of the car. I think it looks great and I am SO glad that I finally did it.

Lincoln owner since the womb and gangster ones too …. Be cold day in he!! id ever cut my coils lol this is what we used to do when we were kids … you reduce the springs rate each ring u cut , one good bump that beast is slamming pan and will destroy it ! Does it look good yes but that’s all it does .. Just gt springs made that are shorter / but still have the strength bud ✌️

It’s not that low, I don’t ever scrape under the car, it was just only ever the fenders. Love this generation towncar!

Heck yeah man! Make sure to take a little less off the front coil than I did. Mine sits just a hair too low after it settled.

Ur video is good and i plan on doing this to my 95 crown vic i really been hesitant on it just cause i dont want it to be more bouncy than it already is but i got 19x9 mustang wheels on 1.5” spacers

It’s going to be a little bouncy, that’s what happens when you cut coils. But the Lincoln wasn’t bouncy before lol

Recently bought some clean chrome 5 stars but they're 20" in the front 22" in the back. I got spacers to adjust bolt pattern. What size are yours? My car same color as yours btw 😂

Good deal! Love the color!! So mine are mustang wheels. They are the same bolt pattern. But the offset is WAY different. I think I settled at 1.5 in the rear and 1.25 in the front. But I still never got an alignment. So I need to move to 1inch in the front and then I’ll be able to get it squared up

Question.. so I'm looking all over for any information on lowering 03 Lincoln signature series. Dose this work on 03? Can't find any videos on cutting springs or drop springs only front air bags...

Not too bad! Like a Lincoln with cut coils. Lol. But totally acceptable. Cut less than me. That’s my old advice. Let it settle and if you want more, go back and do it again. Thanks for watching!
