LOWERING MY K11 MICRA! (Budget Build)

The problem with Micra wheels is the centre bore size. They are pcd 4x100 which is, or used to be, really common. Toyota, Honda, Vw, Vauxhall and Citroen and many more manufacturers have used them. But the Micra's centre bore is 60.1mm, which is larger than most manufacturers used in 4x100s. So although a Toyota wheel will bolt up, it wont sit flat because the centre of the hub will hit the flat of the alloy. You can grind them to fit, but it takes ages and potentially ruins the wheel. I had a k11 decades ago with a set of Nova three spokes on it. It took me several days with a die grinder to get them to fit. Looked pretty stupid afterwards too 🤣 wheelfitment eu is a good site for checking what wheels will fit. Your best bet is to try and find Nissan or Renault wheels because they should have the right centre bore. But there's an added issue as some Nissans, like Primeras, are 4x113.4. Or aftermarket wheels as they often heavily over size the centre bores.

Breaking the bottom off of the shocks looks like a bear! It always looks easier when you see someone with a full workshop of tools. I was surprised how much difference those 35mm makes to the stance. Good job 👏

Looks good to me! Have only driven the gen Micra after yours and I remember it feeling high and mushy, so this helps with that. That wheels search, Lord, help Matt find some!

Did you install the panhard rod. When you lower the car the panhard tries to push the axle too far to the right, you need to put the adjustable one on to correct it, or the rear end could get very flighty
