Thats so crazy, he said it was parked and not being driven… in Georgia if the car is parked then as long as you register it before you drive it again your good… you just can't have unregistered cars on the road… CA is crazy, what if the car doesn't run or your rebuilding it, why register a car that doesn't even run? It all comes down to money.
@@thetayterminator1436 Parking a car on the street is legally "driving" it on a street....at least in most jurisdictions. Park it at home. in a garage, in a warehouse...no problems. When you don't have money for a 200.00 registration but you magically have $500 to get it out of tow on top of paying the registration in order to get it out of tow😂😂
Yea because it is so real to take someone’s property because they haven’t paid the government yet for the right to park it on the street. Everybody is just so used to this garbage that you can’t even imagine the government doing what it’s supposed to do. This isn’t a crime. Nobody got hurt or injured or even suffered emotionally for this guy having expired registration. I know you think what that cop is doin* is really heroic. Nobody benefitted from what he did. He didn’t stop any criminals from committing crime. He didn’t save anyone from danger. What he did was take a guy that’s probably struggling as it is, drowning in a sea of debt, and instead of throwing him a life preserver he threw him a brick which sank him further. Being “real” if you ask me would be for him to have some empathy and instead of doing something to hurt the guy because he can, choosing to leave him the hell alone in spite of a law the government passed allowing itself to punish people for not giving them money that he earned.
@@adamlv1the guy wasn't struggling if he put money in to fix up his car. And the cop did the public service because he had no registration meaning no insurance..

That’s why you always register your car in Wisconsin or any other state that you registration doesn’t expire. You can do it online Edit: Wisconsin DOESNT require proof of insurance too
@@jeremywilsom5665Incorrect, we all equally pay for our roads and the right to freely travel is a God Given right, It was decades and decades later (when we invented vehicles) that the government claimed driving is not traveling and that it is a privilege. Don't give them a reason to pull you over. Keep your ride up to date, check your lights n turn signals, etc etc etc. Parked or not its out on a public street n they can take it if it's not up to date

@@notapplicable430 definitely not cheap. But if you are in a car club you can get club registration at a reduced cost or if its a classic or vintage car which isn't a daily driven car you can also get a reduced registration. Things seem more expensive here in Australia than compared to America but the american dollar is worth more than ours. 1 gallon of fuel is equal to 3.7 liters. Our fuel is approximately $1.75 per liter. If you work it out using our dollar it costs around $6.50 per gallon of gas. Which is roughly what gas is in America I have heard. Its expensive wherever you live and it doesn't seem to be showing signs of lowering. I have vans that are used by my employees and I've had to get them to drop their vans off at our workshop rather than allowing them to drive them home just so they aren't filling the vans up with fuel on my fuel cars when not on the job. I may just take their fuel cards off them at the end of the day but it's the extra miles put on the vansbthat also costs more at the end of the year as some of the workers live up to an hour from my workshop. Wherever you can cut costs adds up at the end of each year
So true!! As a kid I thought all you gotta pay is gas and you're good! Holy crap was I wrong. You gotta work to have a car and you gotta work to maintain a car just to go to work. A vicious cycle man.
I'm a huge lowrider fan. I go to lowrider shows all the time. I agree with this cop. Any car that is driven or parked on the public street needs to be registered. If he just bought it, he should have the bill of sale with him and take it home or to the DMV.

@@kevincerny2648 duh nobody said he should’ve brought it out; thanks for pointing out the fuckin obvious. This happens more than you think . You have it in the shop or your house getting it ready and then it gets done and you drive it home from the shop or a quick spin to make sure it’s all good. Bam they see you rolling around with no plates and here you are .
Maybe if he wasn't being recorded he might just give a ticket and tell them to drive it straight home. Doubt it though they are probably strict. The problem with letting them trailer it is they think they will just drive it once they leave and then it could possibly be a liability issue if something happens. If someone got injured or worse, it would make them look very bad.
