I'd love to see The Omega Legion become canon. I would join them

I'm convinced Alpharius is with Eisenhorn simply because it's the most Alpharius outcome: totally unexpected after 10,000 years of randos using your name. Plus, Valdor reuinion!

I like the theory that Alpharius and Omegon opted to enact both prophecies simultaneously so that neither would be correct. They split, both traitor and loyalist. Omegon, after swapping places with Alpharius, was indeed killed by Dorn, but Alpharius lives on (imo as Cypher) and was not slain by Guilliman.

Big spoiler for the arks of omen books Vashtor had help from alpha legion marines disguised as death watch to find the rock, which would eventually lead to the lion waking up. I believe they helped him to help the imperium.

This is spy vs spy level of battle just imagine both sides having a sleeper cells in their group trying to sabotage one another.

I love the contrast between the Alpha Legion and the Dark Angels. Having their fair share of heresy and traitors but both being honest to throne loyal.

I wonder if those Alpha Legionairre's that were in stasis below The Imperial Palace are still there in M42? Hardly anybody in universe know they're down there but imagine if Guilliman or The Lion finds that out....

I see Omegon as Alpharius in Omegon's body. I believe they swapped minds early in the cursade and when Alpharius died, he had Omegon's mind in him as they didn't switch back due to not having the proper trigger word. So therefor in current setting, Alpharius is alive but he believes the lie that he is Omegon.

There’s a popular theory that Cypher is actually Omegon in disguise.

I love the Redacted, I also love the fact that the tech marine merged parts of Tau tech with their Plasma tech to solve the Meltdown problem with pladma guns. Plasma fusils essentially.

Really dig the omega legion idea though I’ve always thought alpharius was alive and Omegon dead regardless still firmly believe one of the Primarchs is loyal and very much alive

Something else I had wondered about. Deathwatch Watch Masters will sometimes accept Blackshield Astartes who have forsworn their previous chapters. I could see Alpha Legion Blackshields serving in the Deathwatch.

You forgot Inigo Pech who apparently is still in the bowls of the Palace with a motion sensor mine stuck to his chest!

The Omega Legion guys seem like an interesting development in the overarching story. It would really be the most Alpha Legion thing ever to have them pop up to sow confusion and discord in the traitor ranks while pruning ineffective and corrupt Imperial agents, all right under the Inquisition’s nose.

IMO with the Lion returning and redeeming the 'risen' I could see that as a good lore-hook to allow Loyalist Chaos warbands to rejoin the Imperium in a full fashion. IMO the setting is more interesting if we can have Loyalist chapters of traitor legions and fallen warbands of loyalist legions.

Did read the alpharius novel? Lots of new details. It pretty much says that the alpha legion is loyal. Omegon was the one killed by Dorn.

I think that the Alpha Legion is loyal, they are just incredible pragmatic. They did not believe in propaganda during the Great Crusade, but know that is was a never ending duty to contain the weakness of mankind. They have a habit of using covert missions as a cover for covert missions. They do not believe in the concept of a fair and honorable fight. A fight is a fight, everything else is just romantic nonsense. And that there are alway more that 2 sides in a configt. Take the Horus Heresy, there was Horus/chaos vs the Emperor, but also xenos and other powers that interfered as is fit their interest. So the Alpha Legion had more that one set of spies to be mindful of each time they did stuff. Horus spies, Imperial spies and Cabal spies.

Thank you for this. I've been saying that Alpha Legion, at its core, is loyalist and that their Primarch is alive. Even Guilliman is sure that Alpharius is actually alive because of how they responded after the supposed death of Alpharius when they fought. I'm also convinced that Omegon is actually Alpharius, the one that landed on Terra and is ultimately loyal, and the one that died on Pluto was actually Omegon.

People forget that from the Alpharius book, that, while, of course, it could be a lie, Alpharius and Omegon switched names with each other, meaning that Dawn killed a Omegon, who was calling himself Alpharius, and due to his death, the real Alpharius took back his name in honor of his dead brother

I want everything alpha legion does is according to plan, a plan set by the emperor and malcador 10k years ago. Would be really cool if it turns out that the alpha legion is actually the most loyal legion of them all in the end.

I am an Alpha Legion fanboy I will admit, currently making my Chaos Kill team Alpha Legion just because I love the lore and aesthetics. As for whom i'd side with. I am more of a neutral to loyalist leaning hydra. While I enjoy the Ghost Legion in theory I find that there are just a few to many OC additions which break it for me. I love the idea of completely neutral AL factions. The radical centrist hydra if you will, but I don't vibe with the separation from Alpharius Omegon. What makes the Legion so special to me is that unlike other primarchs, Alpharius is unique is that he's transcended into basically becoming the legion itself. Alpharius Omegon IS the legion and the Legion is AO. The Ghost legion basically wanting to reject that in my opinion doesn't make them Alpha Legion. I guess my totally ideal faction would be a neutral legion who wish for unity and equality, as did Alpharius wish for unity with his brother. Bend the knee to no other outsider force. Respect but do not revere or worship the emperor. Basically, a long winded way of saying that the Omega Legion is the closest active faction that would meet with my thoughts on the legion.

I belive truly that Omegon Died in the Heresy because of Omegon being the owner of the Alien Spear and scaled armor and Omegon being the double for Alpharius himself. Same idea tho of a Omega black legion.

I member readin that Alphareon and Omegon actually split during the heresy (the way I read it anyway). Alphereon went to Horus and Omegon went to Big E. I think the whole Gilliman and Omegon fight was a stage to put him in the shadows to help the Emperor and Gilliman knew and is complicit

I'm surprised not more lore videos have been done on this topic.

It's a shame alot of the chapters that are perceived as being a 1 trick meme have such good depth but get largely ignored in favor of seemingly more popular chapters. I.e all the mono god legions for chaos, and non codex compliant chapters for loyalist. I personally love the unique positions RG and AL sit in when it comes to most of their ambitions and tactics being hard to understand or notice by the larger Imperium....Granted I'm not suggesting the RG are anywhere near as batshit complicated as AL lol. But both chapters will probably never get the credit they deserve and seem to be content with this.. as sad as that sounds for fans of them. Still shouldn't stop GW from giving more unique characters to these factions instead of just making more and more generic captains and lieutenants .....

i love to think that alpharius and omegan are fighting a secret war against each other within alpha legion, therefore you can have loyalist alpha legion and heretic, OR they on their own thing but against chaos in the end

I think it’s both. They are split between loyal and chaos. The loyals are just using the chaos and when the time comes they will kill them all

There's so much going on all over the place with this legion and I love it. I am just itching for the next fix of Alpha legion lore. I WANNA KNOW MORE. I have so many different theories that I can't ever stick with one about this legion. I've seen some theories indicating that Alpha is the beginning and Omegon is the end which means an Omegon legion coming to the light could make sense. I believe the emperor set up the horus heresy so he could become a god and I believe the Alpha (Omegon) legion is Gunna play a big part soon I hope.

So I know in M42 there is still at least one war band that all have their face surgically altered and all call themselves Alpharious, so the marine guarding Bequin 2.0 could have hailed from within that warband or simply been from the heresy era

Alpharius is legit dead. He shot out light when Dorn killed him and Omegon sensed it. I believe Omegon is alive and that Guilliman killed a souped-up Astartes Demi-primarch body-double on Eskrador. I’d love to see Omegon return to the setting, making himself known to Guilliman. Then when Guilliman is just about to rage and attack / kill Omegon, the Emperor has a rare moment of lucidity and tells Guilliman “You don’t want to do that…” Then Omegon and Guilliman / Johnson pow-wow and Omegon is “redeemed” as a loyalist Primarch, running his traitor legion from the shadows. That would be cool.

I know this sounds a bit silly. But do the alpha legionnaires in dawn of war soulstorm count as their own group? Because they seemed to have fully embraced chaos unlike the others who just use it as a tool.

i agree (hope) that the alpha legion is mostly loyal but you seem to have missed or glossed over the fact that there was another alpha legion there that ingo had to kill when john and him were looking for a way to start the vehicles who was sent to give the other code word... iirc

There are loyalist from every legion, and traitors from every legion. It was never so simply cut and dry. having traitor legions and loyal legions would be very un-warhammer, because the setting is painted in shades of grey. Like take the dark angels for example; classically a loyal legion. There were more traitor dark angels then any other. Luther had a legion sized force of fallen loyal to him. call them what you will. The Emperor knows his own.

Awesome video 1 Primarch is still alive Gulliman killed a fake Alpharius Currently lore has 000s of legion, x2 gloriana capital ships and fleet just dissappear And odd story of few Al renegades here and there Alpha Legion story has been messy and unclear by gw as they didn't go to the eye So recent books been a bit meh trying to fix this big open mess but still too many holes Alpha Legion have been central to all lore in 30k but 40k authors now trying to play fix up due to them missing despite being an extremely powerful legion The recent Mike Brooks renegade series has the pale spear recovered from the inquisitor I expect other stuff to be retrieved As per other Primarchs weapons coming back like vulkan stuff Then Primarchs return Pale spears return kinda follows this trend I'm expecting Alpharius /Omegon (one of them to come back) and the legion in mass returns to the imperium Would be complex like lion (and the fallen) and would be alot of drama between brothers inquisitors etc End and the death book 1 and 2 and Bequin ( book 3 pandemonium) will have links and Alpha legion are part of it So hopefully we get more info on them moving forward and Alpha legion Pandamonium will move 40k.lore foward in a massive way as noted by Abnett

My opinion is that the Alpha Legion was split because the twins were split. Alpharius and Omega and couldn't decide on which side they wanted to be with. Which led to confusion within the ranks as well as their conflicting. Battle tactics, such as letting the white scars go and stuff like that.Whomever died on Pluto? Was probably the one who set the course for the Alpha Legion. From there on out, either they are loyalists that are trying to redeem themselves by sabotaging chaos, or their chaos. You know, through and through. In either case, I still enjoy the Alpha Legion for all the just crazy nonsense that goes on within them.

Well with the new lore that one of the brothers choose the side of the emperor is not dumb really,Ingo did try to activate the code to make the legion loyalist but that doesn't cover or work on the primarchs and another i think try to activate Sagittarius the other code but didn't now we have a legion a full legion under the palace and only a primarch and a hipnopate(?) Can activate this astartes
