I have LPG in my G 1.4 MA 125kW, the investment has paid off, no major problems, it only needs to be re-tuned from time to time (by the person who installed it), the installation cost in Poland is about 4,000 pln (approx. 800 gpb or 935 eur). I also made a styrodur filling under the trunk floor and there is space for various tools. 44l gross cylinder, floor height approx. 5/6cm (depending on the location). The filler with a screw-on reduction is located under the fuel flap. When it comes to fuel consumption, I don't even count it precisely because I know it's much cheaper anyway.

I have 1.4 125kW and the results are similar to yours, 10-11 in the city and around 9 in mixed scenario. Made 25k km with it already (Lovato), cost of installation paid off like twice aleready. No issues so far. Love your channel, waiting for more videos with Giulietta :)

Very informative video for one more time my friend ... I been running my GT 1.8 TS on lpg for years. No issues or problems with the engine at all. Anyone who wanna instal lpg on his car should find a good/trusted mechanic and find a good system. Car will run like charm with no mechanical issues and will enjoy to drive his car with no thinking about the "fuel" cost. The only advice is to have the gasoline tank half filled to keep the gas pump cooled to avoid damage of the pump. Keep the great work

I think there is one thing you should take into concideration. That is that the filling is never the same. With gasoline you fill it up till the neck and repeat when you do the other test. With LPG you have a 80% filling wich is approx. The more empty the gasstation gets usually the less you get inside and also your tank valves can close earlier or later. I have had deviations on a full tank to about 4 or 5 liters.(drove the tank empty and fill it up complete and it's never the same on LPG) This driving empty for LPG should be avoided as it is bad for the LPG pump. So in my opinion it's way harder to detemning the real usage of LPG. Also summer and winter makes a difference. I am driving LPG cars for over 30 years now. And my current 156 1.8 still does great so i will not swap it for a newer car. I do like your Giulietta. It's a nice car for sure. But my old 156 still does everything i want it to. And driving 120 km/h it uses between 9 and 10 liters a 100km average. My tanking is normally never above 10 liters 100km. Always between 9 and 10 liters 100klm./ Living in the Netherlands with good roads.
@arcgarage
@arcgarage 3 месяца назад
Thanks for sharing, 156 is a great car. I did actually take that into consideration, and for the testing I always filled at the same gas station
@karlos1060
@karlos1060 3 месяца назад
@@arcgarage I mean sometimes with a previous 156 that had a smaller tank i drove it empty because i could not drive that far and wanted to tank at the same station. It was i think a 45 liter gross tank. Nett about 35 liter. I also bought at the same station. Sometimes it would go to 33 liters, and and other day it could be 36 and even once 37 liter. The point is it goes on pressure. And you can never measure it like you can with gasoline. As LPG is liquid under pressure the valve for tanking can close once at say 75% and other time like 85%. Older gas tanks had a fill meter at the tank. Wich was probably more accurate. So you could see if the filling up is the same amount you put in before. If you would want a more precize mesaurement, you should for example drive 10 times like 100 km average and filling it up 10 times and then see what the outcome is. Also winter and summer LPG is usally a little different is composition. In summertime usually 70% propane and 30% Butane and in winter it is usually 60% propane and 40% butane. So it is very hard to set a real number on usage. It varies in winter/summer and it varies in howmuch it really is filled between 75% and 85%.

What LPG system is this, have you installed it yourself? Here in Finland it is not allowed to install an LPG system yourself, some authorized shop has to do it. But I think if it is a ready system it can be installed by a shop. I'm running my Giulietta as a flex fuel vehicle with system from Eflex fuel. Runs really nicely, and I get an average consumption of 9,1 l/100km, which I've calculated with every tank filling. At the same time I've calcutated that it is 25,4% more than the trip computer shows, which is normal for E85. Would be really interested in having a LPG system also, would be a real ecological and economical car then! Technically there should be no problem doing this, as the systems are completely indepedent.
@arcgarage
@arcgarage 3 месяца назад
Yes technically you could do it. I didn't install it myself, although I did LPG installations in the past. In my country you can do it yourself, but you have to take the car for an inspection.
