2015 through 2017 mustang gt injectors work perfect for fast manifold and rails. So also LU47 injectors are a great budget "bigger" injector also.

My thoughts are start with an l96 add the cam and springs properly specced and have 560hp ( if that is enough) on the cheap.

Lot of money to spend on intake & TB to not upgrade the heads. At least send the stockers for a CNC porting or use LS3 heads that flow much better than any stock cathedral. I’ve also found there’s a considerable difference between full length long tubes and shorties, even if they are cheap eBay long tubes.

The MOST Important bit of info for this entire build was unfortunately held until the end of the video...and that is ENGINE SOURCE &/OR OWNERSHIP/RUNNING STATUS (ie. Existing owned running re-fresh, Rebuild purchased Junkyard Core, Existing/Owned Blown Engine Rebuild etc.). While this is an awesome guide for someone who wants to spice up a running LQ4 and doesn't mind spending a bit of cash for guaranteed results without pulling an engine, you could see how more guys than not would take that FAST Intake money and buy a Stroker or similar Forged Rotating Assembly for a 4.8/5.3L Aluminum Block etc. You get what I mean. Great video nonetheless. I would however change the title to "Running LQ4 Refresh/Upgrade". Keep up the good work. I like your style.

@@DannyR2681 I know that, this manifold, 102mm TB and otr was one of my first mods with exhaust and tune on my grange. All up was good for 32whp. 305 at the wheels in an 1850kg car gets boring after about 5 years so I slowly upped everything else over the last 7 years. I was agreeing with someone else and telling what’s happened to the parts I had, and he is dead right, except when I got my fast manifold it was $600 and now they’re over $2k. My custom manifold I run was $1250, so if you’re planning to go anyfurther and are worried about cost, forget the fast altogether as on its own is worth basically no gain unless you add another $5k worth of stuff

Hi Ken, I have done this recipe on a 2003 Sierra lq4 with drive by cable and it worked great! So yes it should. But to be safe always ask Summit or the place you order from to confirm compatibility for each part. That way they are responsible if there is a mess up and would have to make it right. @Sledbuddy
@Sledbuddy Год назад
Hi David, the stock LQ9 has 345hp at the crank. With this cam, intake, injectors and a good tune, it should add 100hp or more. So it should be around 445hp or more at the crank. Of course, rear wheel hp is lower than crank hp. In my experience 15 to 20 percent less than crank hp at the wheels on a 2 wheel drive.

What heads are you using? I have a GEN4 LY6 390ci I just last week got done assembling, fully firged Callies crank, Compstar rods and Diamond pistons. BUT....my weakness if my old ass LS1 241 ported heads that onlly flow 304cfm@.650. Also, I still have an old ported LS6 intake and stock TB. My top end parts are probably costing me a good 100+ HP that I could add to this N/A set up. I'll be boosting it soon so I first want to squeeze as much N/A power out of it as possible......
