Sounds like Adam LZ is having a big meet at the factory. Rudnik will be there with the SR20 Miata, wouldn’t surprise me if yours and Tommy’s showed up too. That would be a sick display, the Miata call out is cool and all but just seeing those 3 together would be wild.

If you run into cooling issues (water temp) put that oil cooler behind the radiator. Ran into that issue on a few race cars.

I think you should look into getting an oil cooler thermostat. Helps the oil warm up faster when you cold start it.

Taylor, 2 things for pressing bearings from a mechanic based on what I see you doing. Instead of pressing the bearing in the spindle, press the spindle onto the bearing. this way you can lay the bearing flat and then put the spindle on top and press the back of the spindle with something flat across the top. Its easier than making a setup for the spindle to sit square to the bearing. AND when pressing the hub into the bearing ALWAYS support the inner race with something underneath or you may press out the race.

If the bearing is flat could you put it on the bottom in the press and push on the back of the knuckle?

Taylor at 5:50 your rear lower control arm outer bolt does not have the correct washers. The correct ones are way bigger than what you are using, 2 inches to be exact and they come with the energy kit. Only noticed because I just replaced. Love everything about the build by the way! its inspirational for me to finish building my ls1 FD rx7 and keep tracking my simple seat time miata!

Still loving the MX5 build, Taylor did you have an idea of how long and how many extra bits would need to be purchased to complete the build, I know some parts were down to others doing stuff in the mates rates dept. Project seat time was an important investment. Keep up the build in the quality it has continued to be not rushed.

When setting up a car with adjustable coilovers like that you really need to get a set of scales to get the wheels even on weight distribution.

He wanted a bright color in the engine bay so he could spot leaks and when he painted the bay he didn't know what color he was getting the exterior painted so went with the silver so it would match pretty much every color.

Drop it kids...this is not High School. It's pretty much BS regarding someone up north wanting "to race". Taylor has his own content and way he does his channel. He's not some Marty McFly who feels the need to race to prove anything to anybody. Taylor drifts for the joy of drifting with friends and like-minded people. Taylor, stay true to yourself/character. Don't feel compelled to satisfy the juveniles. If coat-tail happens to be in ATL, OSW or mexico to drift then do as you wish...else it's not worth your time IMO.

@@Tbrick563 not true if he drives the car within its limits and doesnt keep using too much power taylors car should only go faster except if your talking about the extra front weight of like 25-50 lbs unless u run an interchiller which would make it go up from there. I'd love to see the miata supercharged. But in this application I don't think it will help him much or Taylor will try and use too much power and it makes him slower but that's all driver
