LS Swap Radiators vs. Traditional Radiators - Are They Needed?

So I’m wanting to ls swap an xj and I’m kinda on a budget, can I just use the stock xj radiator, as long as I get the steam port hooked up

I have a 350 and installed a LS Radiator, the piece you are describing (steam port connector) - it is required to make a LS Rad to work correctly on a non- LS motor? Where can I get that collar?

I have a 78 c10 with a ls1 swap and I’m using my stock radiator but at the moment I’m having trouble finding upper and lower hose that will work. I know that the hoses from my c10 are a bit larger than the ls1, how did you guys make it work? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

So I would be able to purchase a nice radiator specific to my Mustang for fitment purposes and then I would only need to route the lines accordingly or does it change when it comes to using a Ford radiator on a Chevy engine?

Just tap the top of the water pump and run your steam port into it. Been doin it for years

What hoses did you use? For top hose. And traditional is 169. Ls rad is 369

The top hose on an LS radiator is on the driver's side not passenger. They are the same
