This video I turn the LS1 short block into a complete motor, and get it ready to put back into the 1LE Camaro.

The poster with the complaint was likely a key board warrior. I follow what I can learn from or people who are restoring my dream cars. Good job on the assembly, jealous of the lift. A friend and I are buttoning up an engine out on a 03 Corvette. We did it without a lift. You'd fit right in with my mechanic friends.

Thanks, yes some people just lack insight and perspective. The C5,6 and 7 corvettes are definitely easier with a lift so congrats on doing it without. Let alone the C8. Thanks for watching!

I don't know where time goes, never seen this on. SnapOn never had digital torque wrenches during my time. But had 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2 as placing them in the middle I felt didn't stress them but don't know what's inside. I sent mine in to check calibration & #6 was due on the 1/2" every other year. It saw action everyday. Came back with no check, just an excuse they didn't have parts. They offer $20 toward the purchase of a new! No thanks. I feel like you as this engine is mine. I have pallet, 2" X12", pipe drilled for block bolts. Ran before, took notes on the floor while cleaning injectors, leaks, live oil to note a baseline. I will do it as it's done. Can't get anyone to Dyno the 4L60 w/5 gear Delco planets and non-electric. Add temp sensor in pan & use a case wire. I use high-temp red on bottom & top of knock sensors, 2003 truck donor. I did all the wire, went thru alternator and installed new slip-rings, high end rectifier on thick copper & reinforce B+ bolt. Lost art. Captured trunnions, drilled W/P and tapped for steam vents. I ran steam line front to rear, drill, cut a bird-mouth and 10% silver soldered together & pressure checked. I have 9 truck water pumps from Delco NIB left over from dealer buy. Are those factory motor mounts (high energy red urethane inserts) but captured mounts and cross member risers? Oh, don't forget the $9 starter heat shield to keep from cooking solenoid. I have read post that mean and say something if you want but you and know they fresh out of school. As techs we don't make maybe 20% of what they charge. Take out tools that don't break twice a week, we make even less. It's not a 100% deduction on taxes. Like car repair insurance, no name on shirt, company, no ASE, no nothing. "I've worked for 10 years"! Ok, so your changing oil and fixing tires. That and 2 water pumps & radiator. No A/C on shirt, ain't touching mine. I have GM CD's for service up to 2004 and meant to take on the road. Tech school behind, distance learning is nothing. Oh well! Stay cool, you are doing the right thing. Have a lucky one. DK, Omaha.
