I don’t think I am alone when I say I didn’t know too much about NCAA women’s basketball until social media brought it to the forefront. And Kim Mulkey is about as charismatic as you can be.
They chose amazing LSU players to talk, and they executed the question that they didn't even wanna hear, lol. Hey, they gone learn us instead of trying to break us every which way, but the right ain't lyin LSU 🐯LSU 🐯
I'm a UNC guy until the day I die, but I LOVE Coach Mulkey! She is everything that makes a true winner and champion. She is honest, she is competitive, she is daring, she is fearless but yet she is always humble. Always. Heck, look how humble she was during this presser. She can't believe it! The fact that she set aside a Baylor dynasty to come home and restore a starving program in LSU elevated her legacy tremendously! That alone was incredible. Now, out of nowhere, she has LSU back in the Final Four in SEASON TWO after she told the fans to pump their brakes and trust the process after the first overarcheiving season ended! She said exactly what I was thinking in this moment. "Are you are kidding me?!" That is straight legendary! She never bought into media hype and fan expectations. She didn't get caught up in cockiness. She just wanted what was best for her team on a day-by-day basis. As soon as the Tar Heels went down to OSU in the second round, I was all aboard the LSU train. Congratulations to all the Tigers' fans and to the people of Louisiana. Y'all deserve this! Go win it all!! #GodDidIt 💜💛🏀🔥
Thought she made it all about her. Completely disagree. How many times could she tell everybody her credentials and how she won it with the same players in her 2nd year. LSU players followed suit making it about themselves individually. It was cringeworthy.
I've never even watched college basketball let alone women's college b ball. I had a lady who I look up to show me the passion this lady has for the game and influencing young people in a positive way. I'm now a fan and will be watching LSU the rest of the way.
I’ve coach hs girls basketball and have for 25 years. Coach is a first class coach. She outstanding! Great for the women’s game. Look what she has done at LSU.
Saw her play at LATech many times; she was a great point guard coached by a great coach, Leon Barmore, and then his Asst coach for a time. I believe she learned a lot from him. LATech obviously messed up letting her get away to Baylor. She is an amazing person and coach!
I'm a South Carolina fan and dawn Staley fan but objectively Kim mulkey should be coach of the year they way she turned LSU around in a short period of time
I thought just the opposite. The coach made it all about herself and the players followed suit and were poor winners showing no respect to their own teammates or the opponent.
Been Razorback fan all my life, But if my granddaughter becomes a basketball player in college Coach Mulkey is were i would love to see her play. Im not huge basketball fan but i will watch the womens final four and root for LSU because of coach Mulkey. And for a Die Hard Razorback Fan to say that is Huge.. Thought I was watching men for a men cause damn these ladies balled out and I personally think they need to be seen more because the skill and level of game is there I never really watched ncaaw not gone lie but listen coach mulkey and the tigers and also iowa made me become a huge fan ❤ I’m all the way tunes in

I'm so proud of these young women, and Women's basketball, and Women's sports as a whole ❤ I grew up pushing and encouraging my female friends to step out of their comfort zones of how the world of men views them period!!! Women are truly powerful beings across the board ❤❤❤

For the women lineup I know on the team number 10 you're arrogant and what you did on national TV was wrong to the other teammate of Iowa trying to embarrass her with your hand Saint her face that you don't see me or I don't know what was that about but that was wrong of your part you should go apologize because if you want a championship it's not because you did it all I give credit to number 45 I get credit to the girl and shout a bunch of threes this is the 1st time I see a college women's team and I've been watching some of them some girls have fights with other girls and that was wrong I think if you're more professional at what you do and what you say cause I know it's very good to win you should apologize to number 22 of Iowa Cause I think she didn't do nothing for you to embarrass her in front of all nations just for you to do what you did and you know what you did and that was wrong that's all I've got to say for number 10 I hope you get better and play smart and don't also hit all the girls with your elbows cause it looks like the refs they have their eyes closed and they didn't do a lot of calls they let you girls play but some calls the referees and they were all Women referees they did a slobby job Enjoy your victory from number 45 Morris keep up the good work you're awesome for the girl that shot the 3 also that came in and did a lot of threes she's awesome and the rest of the team I'll have nothing against number 10 but what she did on national TV trying to embarrass the other girl that she was competing that was wrong for her to do that But I understand if you could get away with it no one will say nothing but I saw the whole thing and I think that's an embarrassment for your team teammates but celebrate cause you guys are the champs and that's OK with me but it was wrong but you did that's all I wanted to say to ever read my text And also I forgot to say you did it at the end after you guys won just to rub it down on her throat that's all you did and that was wrong Be more professional with other players that you're trying to win a championship and don't doesn't look pretty And that says a lot about you that's all I gotta say God-bless you enjoy your championship
Follows the Lord and gives credit to Him! Amen! She speaks fearlessly with perspective understanding what her role is. One thing though, those writers are going to have to re-write their story, cause SC was outplayed and out coached by Iowa. Clark will be and is the best player on the court, and Coach K just gave Iowa and Clark even more motivation than they’re bargaining for.
Mulkey - helluva player; helluva coach - but coaches should not be allowed to be on the floor while coaching, it's not safe for players, not safe for the coach. I get it, Mulkey is intense, but she needs to stay off the court.
Couldn’t have asked for a better defensive performance because that was some god awful shooting. Thankfully most of our shots were easy layups that we failed to convert because that’s an easy fix going forward if we also hit free throws well.
Mulkey was going to be a star coach with or without Griner. I remember the stupid move by LaTech not giving her the head coaching job after the Leon era. She was Leon’s assistant and was willing to coach cheap just to stay at the college she played and loved. Baylor was more than happy to take her. Oh. BTW She took a last place Big 12 team to the NCAA tournament her first year. Oh her 20 years at Baylor they missed the tournament 1 time. And she already won a national title before Griner at Baylor.
