Honestly the thing that impressed me the most about him. Dude never looked like the moment was too big for him. Aaron Rodgers/ Steve young like with Tom Brady clutch mentality
As a Tigers fan I agree. He was rattled at the beginning of the game though but this just shows that he can overcome adversity and put the team on his back.
@@REAL0223 exactly, he looks like the next Brady to me. No stage is too big, no Defense to good. More mobile than Brady, but with the right work ethic he can turn around the Bengals franchise
He had an amazing season but now hes gonna waste his talent on the Bengals smh I'm a Patriots fan and I already know Belichick is gonna do everything he can to draft the LSU tight end Thaddeus Moss to be Gronks replacement lol watch
Fabian Friedek I agree but the Bengal’s front office MUST bring in some talent around him! No one player can do it all !! So many out there will be quick to call him a bust if he doesn’t turn that franchise around. He can’t do it alone. I wish him luck !!
Can't believe Dan is going to sit up there and say what he said about Joe when 2 days ago he said he would have rather had Trevor in this game. Typical "analyst" flip flopping after the fact and acting like thats been their opinion the whole time, its why Ryan Clark threw up his paper and Marcus said "keep talking"
@anthony patterson did you get triggered when I pointed out reality? There's a reason the Bengals are going to have the number one pick in the draft and it's not cuz they're about to win a Superbowl😂😂
Zechariah Cameron what player doesn’t benefit from a good coaching staff? Oh yeah the ones that suck. Burrow had to adapt to an NFL style offense that was way different from anything LSU was doing before and he went above and beyond what anyone thought was possible. So get out a here with your salty comments
snsproduc He had a fantastic season, yet Case Keenum had multiple consecutive seasons with UH in which he scored more than 50 TDs, yet was never even talked about... Keenum finished his career with 12,000 more yards than Burrow. Shows what money and being in a favored big name university can do for you.
Steelman To some extent yes but even in road games against major Power 5 teams like Oregon, Alabama, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Michigan and Michigan State he put up crazy numbers. UH wasn’t even that good back then, although to be fair 2007-2011 the Group of 5 conferences had some unbelievable murderous teams with NFL Franchise QBs, some of which still start in the NFL.
dovion keys most passing TDs, most TDs accounted for(65), most yards/TDs in a National Championship, all time passer rating of 204.6, most points in a season, 14 TDs in a postseason run is the most ever.. this LSU offense broke so many records its insane.
All of us college fans are lucky whether you are a Tigers fan or not. We just witnessed history and us LSU fans got to see it happen every single week. I'm so stoked that Burrow did it in Purple and Gold. H Burrow just immortalized himself and this will set up LSU great for years to come with recruiting and If you are a backup QB come to LSU and succeed.
What you guys forgot to mention about Burrow is the fact he gets stronger and becomes more focused after he takes a hit or throws a pick. This will be huge on the next level. Burrow is a combo of Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Steve Young, and Rocky Balboa. -2016' LSU Alumnus
So Joe Burrow threw for double Cams touchdowns with less picks went undefeated won the heisman won the national championship. Beat 7 Top 10 opponents and y’all saying Cam had the better year because he was Juco prior to that😂
Cam Newton literally carried Auburn who was 8-5 the year before & lost to Northwestern in a bowl game. While Burrow's is impressive a lot of his throws were bombs. Thus making the game longer & giving him more time to pat stats. Auburn ran the ball a lot & still Cam threw 30 TD's.
I'll end the who was better debate. Cam Newton - 185/280, 66%, 2854 yds, 30 TD's, 7 INT's, 182 rating Joe Burrow - 402/527, 76%, 5671 yds, 60 TD's, 6 INT's, 202 rating Like Greeny said. Look at the numbers and it's over. Burrow has more passing yards then Cam Newton has passing AND rushing. Beats Cam's passing/rushing yards total by 1344. Beats Cam by 1712 when you add Burrow's rushing yards. Burrow passed and ran for 65 TD's. Cam got to 50. Burrow compiled these stats against 7 top 10 opponents. Cam only played 3. Get over urselves ppl. Burrow had the greatest season by a QB in history. It's not even close
Joe Burrow just completed the gr8est college season ever by a player. Consider the records broken, Heisman and National Championship. Who had a better one?
And yet Colt Brennan had nearly as many TDs and passing yards while only playing 12 games instead of 15 back in 2006... Never even made the Heisman Top 3, why? Because he didn’t play for a big name program
He did have the greatest season and was by far the best QB, but he was in a good situation. Barry Sanders has a season where he rushed 238 yards/game and rushed for 37 TDs in 11 games. That would have been the greatest if he was on a better team
Kevin Matte he’s not just in a good situation. He had the greatest season as QB in college football history and he was the main reason they won. I’m just talking about best season out of any college player ever. I don’t think anyone will ever rush for 238/game and rush over 3TDs a game Not trying to Slight burrow at all. His season was legendary.
Sir. Lancelot Everyone is talking about Burrows 55 TDs and saying hes the best QB ever. Case Keenum had 50TDs in both 2007, 2008, and 2010. He’s the all time NCAA record holder for passing yards, passing completions, passing TDs, Total TDs and 2nd for passing attempts. Yet never even talked about...
Anything can be argued. One thing I cant stand about today's society is that everyone, myself included, even though I try not to be are prisoners of the moment. To just make the statement that it is the greatest season ever by a quarterback is unfair and disrespectful to all the guys in the past who have had all time great seasons. He was tremendous all year and it will go down as one of the greatest seasons ever but you also have to look back at history and look at some other guys before you just state something as fact that is nothing more then your opinion
@@genofalconejr5717 if you look at stats which is what everyone goes by it shows other wise and I get it they are others that has had great seasons but no one from year to next has made this much of a impact he has broken records that's hasn't been broken in years LSU defense held Clemson to in the 20s give joe more credit
Geno Falcone Jr it’s not disrespectful . It’s a fact bro . He is the best quarterback in the history of college football . The man hasn’t even made it to the league yet. Just because he had the best season recorded in college doesn’t mean anything . Because plenty of quarterbacks *cough cough cam newton* have had one of the best seasons and then fall off as far as the best quarterback talk. It’s disrespectful to not give Joe the credit he deserves .
anthony patterson the conversation is the best quarterback . He won the heisman and the championship and shattered the most TD’s in a single season and did it in style . By having the best efficiency rating ever recorded . Meaning it took less effort from him because he rarely misses throws .
Cody Orgeron called his dad said, "hey, this guy Joe Burrow is talking about leaving Ohio State. He's pretty good". Coach O then calls Bill Busch and Bill says "If we get Joe, were going to the CFB Playoffs". The rest is history. Per Off The Bench 3/31 Coach O on Getting Joe Burrow, Recruiting During Pandemic
you can't argue he had the best season ever statistics and all against some of the best We just all witness greatness This year and the best college football quarterback in one season ever
I don't want to see Joe Burrow end up in an undeserving NFL team. He should end up with a team that needs his talent the most, but has the sensibility to put together an O-line that works best for him, with active offensive players and a solid wall at scrimmage. Also, maybe a team structure that is not dictated by coaches' cliques and the front office's tomfoolery. I don't want to see him become the next Andrew Luck.
More like Colt McCoy or Matt Leinart. Just sayin...he hasnt even played one snap in the NFL and already he's Steve Young/ Aaron Rodgers? Talk about overreaction Tuesday with all the hyperbole....🤔
From the Bayou Bengals to the Bengals. I really don't want to see him go to Cinnci, but if that's where he goes he'll continue to lead, elevate and bring dignity. Just like he did down here. Geaux Tigers.
If I’m J. Burrow I’d skip the draft and enter the league as free agent....better team options and he’ll make more than sitting on waiting on a max deal in 3 years
I love all the Cam was better trolls that come outta the wood works lmao. Here's some facts/stats for you ppl. Cam Newton and Michael Dyer (Auburn's starting RB) had a combined total of 5471 yards and 56 total TD's passing/rushing/receiving. Burrow had 5671 yards and 60 TD's passing. Let that sink in......he has more passing yards alone then Auburn's starting QB and RB total yards combined and did it against 7 top 10 teams compared to just 3 for Auburn. Debates over. The answer to who was better is Joe Burrow
I hated LSU for as long as I can remember, and I mean early 2000... but the first season Coach O took over I started telling people I hate to say it but O is making me like LSU. Their band and culture was always appealing but Les just made me hate them. COACH O made a Bama fan like LSU. Roll Tide for life but Geaux Tigers man.
Literally everyone in this comment section is dumb like I hope y'all know he just did what no other QB has done this year like y'all do understand that this man has 60td-6in which is a record, like 76/77% completion which is a record, dude has like almost 6000 yards or just hit 6000 yards and beat all these ranked teams plus won the hesiman and won the championship...
Meanwhile, back at Ohio State, the AD is asking "we let Joe Burrow get away and why? Oh, and he beats the team that beats us with you guys picks for QB! I'm gonna go to my office & look at my 3rd place Trophy spot.
Bengals need to get Burrow an build around him,,, I think he could only make them better iffff they protect him an get good WR”s,,,, wish we could get him down in New Orleans,,,,,,,
I've been watching college football since the 70's, I've never seen a quarterback like Joe Burrow. He may be going to Cincinnati at first, but somehow he'll end up in New England.
Tim Tebow had the best season ever. 30 passing TDs with 20 rushing TDs. Won the heisman. He may have lost his bowl game, but that’s the greatest individual season I’ve ever seen
bigsmokiee55 Well Jalen Hurts had 32 passing touchdowns and 20 rushing touchdowns this season and he also lost his bowl game, so how do you justify Tebow having the greatest individual season? And Burrow had 13 more total touchdowns than Hurts this season.
I know Hurts didn’t win the Heisman, obviously, but Burrow was on another level this year and he’s deserving of having statistically the best season ever.
When I just saw that burrow received 90.7 of the first place vote for heisman it makes me wonder why 9.3 percent of the voters don’t even watch college football. They need to be retracted from voting
Cinci is not ready to draft him, not the city they are, but the owner/management and head coach and the staff and last the players are not ready to move on.... some should just walk away from football... Joe should have all the great players who do not get drafted or are asked to try out in other teams camp come to Cinci to do so........ If the above Bengals personnel are not ready to play at this mans level please walk out the door it will not be at negatively!!!!! I am from Ohio go do not walk run for your job... compete or delete from the roster!!!!!!!!
Timothy Thomas i mean 5600 passing yards vs 2900.. Burrow almost doubled Newtons yardage. They both played in the SEC.. Burrow is much better than Newton at the college level. Well see how he fairs with the bengals.. makes me a sad just thinking about it.
If the Bengals do keep him they need to draft offensive lineman in rounds 2 & 3. Another running back in 4 and hope their tight end and AJ stay on. Im just afraid that he'll become another David Carr.Get so beat up that he's out of football in four years. Thats how bad Mike Brown is as an Owner.
Kenneth Hoffman Cam had 1400+ rush yards with 20 rush tds with a far less talented team. Played in 1 less game. Was asked to do MUCH more than Burrow. You put Cam on LSU & they go undefeated. You put Burrow on that Auburn team & they don't. 60 passing touchdowns is insanely impressive yes but when you throwing go routes for more than half of your touchdowns every game and you have the receivers to out run opponents & make the plays it becomes less impressive. I get it he's just doing what he's asked to do but I just feel like his numbers are exaggerated. Cam was the offense.
Kenneth Hoffman How difficult is it for a top 20 college QB to throw go routes to first round receivers against college defenses ? Their receivers made plays all year. And he had the confidence to throw most passes on the money. Cam couldn't have done that ? You're just applying stats when stats aren't everything. Its so many QB's that has thrown over 50 td's. But who actually had to carry their team the most to an undefeated season. Cam carried his team, everyone knew he's was getting the ball & still couldn't be stopped. I'm judging from all perspectives stats, eye test, weight carried, team talent.
@@vijaydanushkodi4980 Not really. cam got dismissed from florida and went to jr college then came to auburn and took the CFB world by storm. And Cam did it with wayy less talent around him. Im not knocking joe but cam did what he did a decade ago.
Joe had a great season but for some reason it didn’t capture my imagination like the season cam had, Cam Newton was the best college football players I’ve seen besides Reggie Bush
Only 3 compare at the qb position. Tim Tebow, Cam Newton and Vince Young. Those 3 were the whole team and helped win it all. But 60 tds in the sec, 60??. 4 top 4 appointments. 7 top 10. It's got to be 1
I love LSU, and Burrow is an ANIMAL. But no, Cam Newton had the greatest season by college QB ever. Coming from JUCO, winning Heisman, dominating like he did and beating that Bama squad?? Best QB season ever. This was a close second tho
How was this not better than that. Joe Burrow won the Heisman went undefeated beat the Defending Champs for the National Championship Broke Sec records Threw for 60 touchdowns beat 7 top 10 teams. But I’m curious to why you think that’s better?
@@fredokeys3405 I was gonna say the 7 top 10 teams but even that doesnt do it justice. 4 of those 7 were top 5. #9 texas, #7 florida, #9 auburn, #3 alabama, #4 georgia, #4 Oklahoma, #3 clemson. Smashed NCAA records in the SEC not whatever divison Hawaii plays in like colt brennan
B Fresh a good qb makes their players around them better. Just shows cam isn’t Burrow status. Burrow made his team better. Burrow the greatest college qb ever!
Well how about you play them up north in November and prove them wrong, oh wait that’s right you have Alabama which hasn’t played a road OOC game against a ranked team since 2011
@@brian2440 How many 🏆 they got in the past 20 years. What else did Lsu have to do this year? Beat the Patriots? Come on we beat Bama Clemson OU GA Auburn Flordia Texas.
Chris Mequet What did LSU have to do? To be the greatest of all time? Oh i don’t know, LSU ranked #42 in total defense and gave up 341 yards per game. Compare this to 95 Nebraska, who averaged 53 points per game and 568 yards per game, while only giving up an average of 14 points per game, and allowing 198 yards per game. Nebraskas defense scored nearly as much as 1/5 as many TDs as LSU offense scored. I’d say you’re lacking pretty heavily on the other side of the ball compared to the GOATs.
FULL AP TOP 25: LSU's victims (16 in a row including last year's bowl game): 1. LSU 2. Clemson X 3. Ohio State 4. Georgia X 5. Oregon 6. Florida X 7. Oklahoma X 8. Alabama X 9. Penn State 10. Minnesota 11. Wisconsin 12. Notre Dame 13. Baylor 14. Auburn X 15. Iowa 16. Utah 17. Memphis 18. Michigan 19. Appalachian State 20. Navy 21. Cincinnati 22. Air Force 23. Boise State 24. UCF X 25. Texas X
Congrats to joe borrows. & coach O but it’s time to put 2019 behind u and prepare for 2020 , since Oklahoma has the qb they want for the future on campus they will not pick up a Gt qb this year so unless LSU wants to go back to the normal LSU offense in 2020 they need to get a Gt QBs like king from Huston. Would make any decent p5 program a contender and LSU could continue to dominate bama and uga in the sec. with him go get coach O
Noel DiMaggio Jr No dis respect to Lsu but no one knows how good joe was before going to LSU not having played for osu only thst this year was dramatically different than last year at LSU but the whole offense was. So who knows if Myles will be any good
Charles Adams Myles Brennan legit! Stronger arm than Joe in my opinion.. With the returning players LSU is going to have, he’s in the right position to pick right back up where they left off
Are you kidding me go back and look at Lamars Jackson's numbers if it wasn't for CLEMSON the university of Louisville would have went and won a ship Lamar was amazing
Laura once again is FOS and spouting Lie after Lie. Joe Burrow was NOT just a kid from Athens, Ohio => he was awarded the state's Mr. Football Award and Gatorade Player of the Year award as a senior in 2014....so HE WAS SENSATIONAL ! From there he went to OHIO STATE and was the best QB for 3 straight Spring Games and should have started => but everyone should realize Urban Meyer played JTB over Cardale Jones (an undefeated Natty Winner) => Urban Meyer played JTB over Dwayne Haskins (even though Dwayne had to SAVE/RESCUE JT and Urban in the last quarter of the 2017 game vs TTUN)..…..so Joe (like Cardale and Dwayne) was AWESOME AND READY to take OSU to the NATTY GAME and win it all => but as per usual, our head Coach was Daft => and couldn't understand how to utilize a Pass First QB in a Spread Offense (and he didn't want to learn) and so he squandered opportunity after opportunity. The REAL STORY is how Urban SCREWED UP time after time. But you don't care about TRUTH. You just want to peddle the Kool-Aid.....and BS LIES. Get Woke ! You might want to try living in a thing called.....REALITY !
