Grad transfer LB Jabril Cox commits to the LSU Tigers. Matt Moscona breaks down his role on the LSU defense and what the 2020 linebacker core looks like.
He grew up across the circle from my mom here in Shreveport. He's a decent size guy. Hope he put on some weight though since i saw him a yr ago. LSU's strength and conditioning program is top notch. He should be physically able. The only thing holding him back would be the mental side of it. My mom saw Ed outside and went over there and he gave my mom a hug....lol...she told him her son loves LSU football....lol. She said Ed is huge.
Benoit Balls I’ve always said the he was going to be the msn ! LSU is going to have another power house! Brennan is going to put up some great numbers, and Max Johnson is going to be an Awesome back up !! Our defense is going to be lights out !! Our db’S are the best in the country the D Line is going to be better than last year and the O Line is going to pretty darn good but we need to build a good center. Hope we can get those twins No. 1 tackle and No. 3 center in this cycle ! GEAUX TIGERS 🐅🐅🐅
Just because they're unproven doesn't mean they're trash by any means. Bo is gonna have those guys in the right spots and making plays. Just bc our starting unit is gone doesn't mean production is gonna be gone. It really sounds like you're not even giving them a shot here. I seriously can't wait for LSU to come back without Burrow and ball out still. #LivePurpleBreatheGold
@@AFRSaints both of them are starters on any other team, idc who else is there. Marcel Brooks straight up put on last year, he dont even have to improve to get all sec next year. We got a 5 star with Sampah comin in. We know cox is gonna have an impact.. that's 5 right there. Still got devonte lee who while, I'm not particularly pumped up about the switch, a 6'2 225 lbs five star WR turned LB who runs a 4.4 is actually, pretty exciting
Diggo Combs it’s more about the fact that we don’t really have PROVEN guys. I have no doubt they will all be really good but we can’t pretend that they are all locks to be great. Also, I wouldn’t worry about Devonte Lee. I watched him play in high school and he was the best defensive player out of ALL of the players on teams that played for state championships at the dome that year, he will be a household name soon.
Cox from North Dakota will be LSU top linebacker is a stud! He has a 5th year for injury and went to LSU to move up draft and many think will be a first rounder
It’s logical. Jacoby is a big body but I think he wants to play safety and has the best experience playing there. However he is a hybrid so he could play S/OLB/LB/EDGE
@@tallamander1933 I feel like he plays alot like Queen #8 did. They are actually the same exact size believe it or not. We have alot of young safteys too and a need at linebacker.
Chris Mequet yeah he is almost too big to be playing safety. Only thing is that he’s gonna be a senior leader and I’ve heard he is planning to drop weight to add speed to increase his coverage. Linebacker is a position that could be concerning but I think Damone Clark will be a big reason on why this defense will be one of the best in football this year.
@@tallamander1933 Damn i was really wanting 3 to switch to LB. We'd have the new transfer guy Clark and Stevens. We'd have a better core than last year. And we are switching to a 4-3 i think so we just need 3 starting cal guys.
@Keith Davis Well now that Kary Vincent is holding out im worried about xp and depth at safety. But Stevens is built and plays like a linebacker and i feel like he would shine even more there.
I'm pretty confident this guy pointed something out about this kid transferring if he has a stand out year and make big numbers I'm pretty sure that LSU will be a hot spot for linebackers not that they aren't already but let's add fuel to Bo Pelini defense and recruiting...
J Spring true. I think they’re going to move some of the OLB from last year to DE because of the new defense like Andre Anthony. They also signed transfer Ali Gaye. I think they’re going to move Neil Ferrell and Glen Logan to DT and rotate them with Shelvin and Ika. Seems like they’re pretty thin at DE.
zombiewack he wants to go to the NFL. I imagine he could easily go to the combine from NDSU. However, he said he wanted to elevate his game and compete against the very best. So from my view point he sees the SEC as a spring broad that can fault him into the combine as scouts take notice.
Cox got an extra year because missed games last year because of injury. He helped North Dakota State win 4 national titles in a row and transferred to LSU to help move up draft and many think will be 1st rounder
Sure that isnt Marcel Brooks guys? 5 star linebacker out of Texas. He was IMO the defensive player of the game (7 tackles) for the High School "Army All American Bowl". Played well last year too. He's got some burners and can hit. More like a hybrid linebacker. Think he only weighs 205
