If you actually watched the trial you would have noticed that there was literally no evidence put forward for 14/19 articles and the evidence in favor was pretty limited and lacking key facts necessary for a conviction. The house ignored rules when passing the articles and the speaker was clearly hammered for most of it.

This speech should be included in the Texas history books! Due process is a MUST in every criminal investigation. Due process will be given Senator Paxton in the criminal trials. You're right that this speech should be in the history books, but I don't trust Paxton or Patrick, who have been acting a lot like Democrats lately. There is more sleeping around by 'true conservatives' in Austin than has been revealed, and more corruption by 'true conservatives' than has been revealed. Many of Paxton's allies are not really conservatives, as they have radical proposals like secession and removing the boundary between church and state. Mark my word, if we do not clean out the filth in our own party, we will lose Texas to the Democrats.

Amen and Amen... Bullshit. Extra-marital affairs must be covered in the Bibletales. I think it says something like "stone them to death". Some hypocrites can come up with verses that justify using your office to protect your pimp, but that's par for the course with folks that believe a 700yr+ old man built a big boat.
