LT1 full restoration and conversion to a LT4 small block that will be going in a 96 Impala SS. this video we started working on the short block follow and subscribe for complete build. much love LOSMS
I have a 96 ss...I noticed you put the waterpump drive gear seal on the cover before you put the cover on...that seal has 2 rings that sit on the shaft (one facing inward and the other outward) chances are by installing the cover with seal on the inside seal was probably pushed outward which means eventually its gonna leak oil from there
Well we had a nice canvas to start with (which was thr LT block) but over all just a rounded number only on engine, from corvette heads performance pistons etc like 6000 with labor. We have tons of new parts on this build
For idling purposes only factory tune will run the engine. I recommend getting the tune prior to build. The tune Depends on pistons, cams, injectors intake manifold etc that will be used for said project. We are dropping a video soon on all this type of information so stay tuned.
@LegendsofspeedMotorsports Alright thank you sir! The only reason why I ask if because I stay in an area where all they know is 350s with carbs when it comes to "tuning" Noone in my area tunes gen 2 LT1s anymore so I may just do a regualar engine rebuild.
