If cooking with pixar is going to become a series, I seriously need a recipe for the soup from ratatouille!

I'm Italian and I'm so happy that thanks to Luca, many people now appreciate one of my favorite dishes! I recommend you try pesto along with other types of pasta, you won't regret it!

And it's incredibly 100% correct! Impressive! Especially when he used Parmigiano Reggiano and not the ripoff fake "parmesan" versions (which have nothing to do with the real thing!) Just a note since he didn't specify it: the pecorino cheese used is "pecorino sardo", not "pecorino romano". They are not the same sheep cheese (for texture and taste). And try to use mortar and pestle (hence the name "pesto") because you will squeeze the juice from the basil leaves and the sauce will be more juicy and fluid. With a blender it will not happen.

The little animations were so cute! Just wondering, can the green beans be put in the water later so the green beans don't get over cooked?

I am so obsessed with the movie and pasta i showed this to my mom and she followed everything and it tasted amazing!

I made this not too long ago and it was FANTASTIC! Nobody else in the house wanted any though so I got lucky and was able to have three leftover dinners with it!

I made this recipe! I don't have a mortar, I used a Nutribullet instead. I was also unable to find any trenette, so I just used spaghetti. It's still very tasty, and I wasn't a fan of pesto pasta until now!

The cheeses are *Pecorino Romano *Parmigiano Reggiano Some tips for people watching, to make it even better: *Use fresh picked Italian basil if you can to bring out flavor *Use real Italian pine nuts *Dry toast the pine nuts in a pan to bring out flavor *Use a young and fresh garlic for a more subtler and complex flavor *Boil the vegetables and pasta in stages so that the potatoes cook through *Don't use pre shredded cheese (it's not authentic, doesn't have that pure flavor and has coating on it) *If it's available or if you have the means to special order it then use real Ligurian olive oil *Use a little more salt in the pesto *Use a little more salt in the boiling water *A mortar and pestle is the best way to go, pesto is much more flavourful, but if you don't have one a food processor works too or (for folks in India or Indians in general) the smallest container of a mixi/blender, (I believe one can grind spices in it but it may not work as well) Btw I'm Indian too!! Btw almost all the tips are from a popular cooking channel on RU-vid called Babish Culinary Universe!!

I tried this recipe, but since there was no local grocer with trenette pasta available, I settled for fettucine as a substitute, since it's close enough to trenette. I doubled the al pesto to make it extra creamy, and the results were absolutely wonderful. Thank you for sharing this delightful recipe straight from the sources. While there are many varieties of preparing pasta and so forth, it's good to have an official Disney/Pixar recipe presented, and with satisfying results.

I went to 2 walmarts, then I searched all over the internet to find a good one. so it was a lot of work, and it was a little pricey, it was totally worth it. now, I gotta try this. my sisters wont stop talking about how good this pasta looks. so now we gatta try it
