I agree. Wherever you see wear and tear on your handgun frame and barrel, apply some gun grease lightly on those spots and it will significantly reduce the friction. For most of the handgun lubrication areas I use a high quality oil. I love "Lucas" products; that's what I use myself.
No they don't all work the same and though hoppe's makes a great bore Solvent and some other products Lucas makes great products as well and some of them even better than hoppe's I use both of them so I don't care I benefit either way
i like grease on my pump shotguns,everything else gets oil...i love the Lucas oil,it's all i use..and now i'm gonna try their grease,i'm sure i'll love it too.
people who build high end 1911/2011 would disagree with jerry on this... particularly the guys from atlas gunworks (if you dont know atlas, you need to)
You should definitely use a light/moderate amount of grease on various points of the BCG. It’s a big improvement over oil in most guns for most friction points.
