Hi, I'm a diesel and gasoline car mechanic and every two months I add all the additive at once and my engine has never had any problems, on the contrary, it's been working for a long time for my 2015 BMW 335i with 174,000 miles.
Gumout gdi spray & lucas upper cylinder lubricant kept my car from the junkyard. Fuel economy was terrible while the local mechanics wanted thousands of dollars to replace injectors and clean intake valves. Your videos are very helpful.
I use Lucas upper cylinder lubricant religiously in my newer vehicle which is a 2011 Chevy Equinox and I use it in my older vehicles also S10 4 by 4 V8 swap in a 93 Chevrolet K 3500 Dually face me fuel slight performance and definitely longevity quieter engine it has proven itself over the years and Nate's Automotive verifies that keep up the good work Nate
The recommended dosage is 3 oz per 10 gal which equates to about a concentration of 0.25%, I have recently up my dosage to 0.5% experimentally and the car seems to have more power at high revs (over 3000 rpm). I read the Lucas technical data sheet from their official website to make sure higher dosage is not harmful, and it said it is not, also they mentioned they recommend for diesel engine that might need rebuild try 1/2 gal to 100 gal diesel as this might be all it needed to restore the performance. My guessing is it helps seal the top piston ring better. I think 0.25% is a standard dosage for vehicles that mostly run on light loads and 0.5% is more for performance. I hope somebody can do a dyno on Lucas UCL with concentrations at 0%, 0.25% and 0.5% to see whether it really did anything.
Nate, you are investing in your channel, video quality is at 80% better than before, keep it up! Remember to include CRC intake cleaner for turbo engines, I see that you use Hyundai's
We use it in our 01 Ford Excursion V10 milage went from 11.5 mpg to 13, 15.5 on highway. Plus it lubes the injectors and fuel pump. Great stuff sorry Scotty Kilmer.
Oh yea, the Pilot in Middlesboro. I always stop there for a cup of coffee☕. Anyways that's a good increase considering driving in the mountains. I've always used MMO with great results but this Lucas product looks great. I may use it on my next vehicle I purchase just because the bottle looks more convenient. 😉
NATES INTERACTIVE AUTO well i use it every other tank full and it does boost my MPG 2-3 as opposed to the few tankfuls that i may skip i figure miles driven to the gallons used with a calculator and i can see how it varies when i skip a tank vs when i use it and it quietens my injectors too.
I used it in a generator that wouldn't start, after squirting a teaspoon full into the one gallon tank it did actually start, I dunno if it was just luck or this Lucas product actually got it working, draw your own conclusions
Don't be lazy, you'll fuck that get50. Clean your carb and jets or replace them for the appropriate jets depending on what mods you have on that ruckus.
@@badassbikerst You don't know my life, we live totally off-grid and are dependent on generators, they run anything from 8 to 18 hours a day everyday 365 days a year, they have hard lives, and I'm frankly sick to death of pulling them apart to fix them, I usually clean the carb with an ultrasonic cleaner, but if this stuff can save me the hassle of removing it, stripping it down and putting thru ultrasound, I've saved myself the bother, happy days as far as I'm concerned, but I know I'll have to get my tools out sooner or later
Follow car manufacturers recommendations. Lucas says on the side of the bottle 3 ounces per 10 gallons of gasoline double check before using any product. So if i remembered the Lucas correctly thats 4.5 ounces for 15 gallons of gas.
My motorcycle requires 91 octane. Would using this with 87 “eliminate” the need like the bottle says? That benefit alone would save me a ton of money. Premium is 1 dollar more than regular on my corner.
@@NATESINTERACTIVEAUTO I understood you! I just don’t know English, but I always watch your videos, judging by the video, I realized that fuel consumption has decreased! I use this tool, the motor with it works softer!
I've used this in my Chevy S-10 4.3L Vortex and got about 5 MPG better and more power. Now in my Nissan Xterra 3.3l it did little or nothing for it. In the Yamaha XJ650 MC it did great. The 4-wheelers it did great too. Now I bought a 2015 Ford Explorer 3.5L which doesn't have many miles on it. I tried it and gain a little bit of mileage but nothing to say it worked for it but I just gave it another dose so I'll see what happens.. I think this stuff works for engines with higher mileage and higher compression cylinders. Either way it's a good cleaner lubricant and will add life to your engine.
does this only apply for diesel fuel or oil, im confused? if it is on diesel, then why it goes trough a lot of parts and pistons.. does it? (no knowledege)
With direct injection Just do water induction service however with gas turbo direct injection you’re kind of screwed because if you break the carbon up and it’s the turbo the turbo will not be happy with gas turbo direct injection put a Catch can on it
There is a small note on the side of the bottle inside rectangular red line that says it’s for use in “Diesel motor vehicle” this will ruin the catalyst in your car.
The front of the fucking bottle literally states “FOR USE IN GASOLINE AND DIESEL ENGINES” for, the little side note is saying it is certified and tested for BOTH.
This additive is bs. Here’s why I say this. The engineers design valve seals to keep oil out the combustion chamber. They design oil control rings for the same purpose. Why would you buy an additive to put lubricant in a place it’s not wanted?
