Great video Jeremiah - its funny I actually own both of those ropers. I have the Kennedy ropers (calf) in black and the Majestic Ropers (goat) in black cherry. The calf are $200 more and much softer but I think I like the firmness of the goat. Over time I like the way the shaft of the goat hold up. Thanks again
I own a pair of the sunset mad dog goat ropers and yes I used it to transition from heritage style boots to cowboy boots. Did the trick I absolutely love them and now own 4 pairs of western boots. Great job Jeremiah!!!
I have a pair of the Lucchese Tanners in goat and they're the most comfortable boots I own. Incredibly light and great for being on my feet all day long.
Ropers will always be my first choice in a new pair of boots simply for the comfort of the design. No heels for this old gal! I prefer Justins, but if I had the money, I would definitely give Lucceses a try. Thanks for all your reviews.
The most comfortable pair of boots you’ll ever wear. I have a pair of handmade goatskin Lucchese ropers that are about 15 years old. I recently had them resoled and I wear them all the time. I also have a pair of Luccehse full quill ostrich cowboy boots. Nowhere near as comfortable and I rarely wear them. These boots are the BEST!
I have a pair of Lucchese Classic L3515 calfskin ropers that I’ve had for 10 or 11 years. Mine have a French toe, which I really dig. They are really comfortable boots, and I wore them all the time. Until I bought my first pair of Chisos. Still love my ropers tho!
Just grabbed some Leadville Ropers and versatile is right. Dress up or down they look great. Super light and they seem to be super high quality (time will tell). Great review!
Hey Scott, good to see another size 15 guy around. What types or styles do you prefer? Message me sometime, I have a few pairs of boots that you may like. 👍
Remind me what is the purpose of the roper style boot I can't remember. I have and had roper boots. They are a good boot for walking. I look forward to your videos. Be blessed!
I was surprised to hear the calf skin is more expensive than the goat! I have a pair of 1883s in calf skin that I bought used on eBay and they are super supple. Less than $50 in great shape. I've searched for goat or ostrich since I've heard they are even more comfortable and they seem to hold a higher value.
I mean a calf is a young cow. So think of it as a child's skin. Would be more flexible, less worn out etc because of its age...... I swear I'm not a serial killer 😅
Those are pretty cool. I just got a pair of Tecovas goat ropers. I'm in the process of breaking them in. I would be Interested in trying out the lucchese goat skin ropers. 👍
Ropers are definetly a classic boot but I personally prefer wearing my abilenes with a r toe and 1.5 inch heel. although I like having a short heel for walking all day I do prefer the square toe over the roper toe.
"...Not really my type roper's boots! Hi Jeremiah, will you do a video about the love of boots the love interest in boots that fascinates us?? Good video Jeremiah!!"
I'm looking for a square toe boot with a subtle heel, looking for a little more style than this roper. I'm a 12D but flat footed I'd appreciate any recommendations please 🙏
Anderson Bean has a bunch of square toes with subtle heels. Here's one I looked at in Wyoming: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_3YSVsaIgZM.html Also JW Boot Company can special order anything you want. Here's a video I did on their square toe: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-y1OXP-iB9qI.html
I got two videos visiting Saratoga saddlery! The next one will go up next week. I don't think I've ever purchased boots when I do videos on them in store. I visit stores and do videos to learn more about different styles and help these small stores sell boots since they need the most help. It's not unordinary for them to sell out of styles after I post videos!
