@Isaac Ds Find out about it before making the type of comment you made. Pavarotti knew very well how to use the chest voice, the mixed voice, the head voice and the falsetto perfectly. Nothing you wrote can save the fact that Dimash has a strange passage between registers. Dimash when he changes from a low note to a much higher note that looks like someone else singing, this transition is not good. I've heard several people say something like "The first time I heard Dimash, I thought it was a man imitating a couple singing, like low notes for men and high notes for women. I found it strange to be honest". And that really is the impression that a lot of people have hearing Dimash singing. Besides the fact that his voice is shrill ... Pavarotti's voice is more consistent and powerful! I think it's an endless discussion ... It is no wonder that Pavarotti is considered one of the greatest singers in the history of music. Dimash is overrated. He is great? Yes. But he is not a phenomenal singer like Pavarotti. Try to watch Pavarotti's videos when he was younger. The control of his voice is monstrous. Dimash is novelty and people love news. We'll see if in 30 years someone will remember Dimash. Pavarotti will never cease to be a reference in opera.

Singing is not merely a matter of personal preference just like in any other field. One is a great Italian pop singer, and the other is most probably the greatest tenor of his generation and maybe several others.

You are absolutely right! A lot of "experts" claim that Pav had a horrible low tones, weak mids....and overall tiny voice. The truth is that: - Pavarotti in his 60s of course wasn't the best tenor in the world - his ability to perform (I mean to really act) on stage in opera was quite limited BUT :-) Everyone at least a bit knowledgeable can easily recognize his bright beautiful voice (unlike other Bjorlings, Giglis and even Carusos - what I've just dared to say :-) ) I love Pav's perfection, not exaggerated expression and his beautiful beautiful voice. And those who play down his quality due to pop-concerts / exquisite popularity should realize, that the reason of his success was his extraordinary flair for music and espectful dealing with others....NOT the lack of talent :-) I'm convinced that somewhere in heavens even the God enjoys listening to his voice. I hope that one day in another place I will have the pleasure to meet you in person, Luciano!
