Thank you for listening to this aria right through for the first time without 'STOPPING every few minutes as some other people do !!! It drives me crazy when they do that !!!! If this is your first time watching Luciano, , for goodness sake, Listen right through to the end !!! You will never have that chance to do that again !! The impact is holy.... Holy... Let that sink in ...
For to listen to Opera there’s only one rule. SILENCE during the execution. Puccini the composer, Turandot di title of the Opera, Nessun Dorma the name of the aria that Pavarotti perform. Thank you for your reaction and for the kind words about Italy.
The guy in the middle was the most affected: he was speechless and his facial expressions at different times revealed his inner feelings and amazement at what he was hearing.
Me too...I cannot count how many times I have listened to this Aria.. Let me say, it has made me feel alive and at peace again, when so much is going on that destroys us at this time..Lucien Makes you believe in love and life and heaven on earth.... Then youcry with joy...
I love your reaction, I wanted to provide the English translation of the aria : None shall sleep, None shall sleep! Even you, oh Princess, In your cold room, Watch the stars, That tremble with love And with hope. But my secret is hidden within me, My name no one shall know, No... no... On your mouth, I will tell it, When the light shines. And my kiss will dissolve the silence that makes you mine! (No one will know his name and we must, alas, die.) Vanish, o night! Set, stars! Set, stars! At dawn, I will win! I will win! I will win!
And this isn't Pavarotti's best rendition of Nessun Dorma. In this earlier performance he holds the final notes much longer (he was younger). Check it out. The video is called "The best Nessun Dorma..." Channel: Giro Lamo
This performance by Pavarotti was so powerful and I do really like Nessun dorma, it's just an incredible piece of music. His rendition did make me feel very emotional - Pavarotti had such an amazing voice, just wonderful. Thanks so much for your reaction, guys, I felt like you did, the ending is just so powerful, you can't help feeling really moved and blown away by it. Another great aria by Pavarotti is La Donna è Mobile - from Rigoletto, very well known beautiful piece. This performance is from 1987, Madison Square Garden, New York. Here is the link - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NQaEvbba-T8.html lasts about two and a half minutes. Video has about 2.8m views.
I loved all of your reactions. Pavarotti performed this role in the opera "Turandot" many times. In opera, the star has to sing and act. In this concert, at the end of this song when he sings "I will win, I will win, I will win", he is acting that part, his facial expressions are part of the act. I hope you watch more opera, there are many on RU-vid with English subtitles so you know what its about. Start with light, comical operas like The Barber of Seville (Rossini) and The Marriage of Figaro (Mozart). Other fan favorites are Carmen, LaTraviata and Madame Butterfly, they will make you cry.
Hi guys... I write from Italy... I really liked your reaction.. 👍🏻.. Although here in Italy we are more used to hearing the Opera... I am always moved... Translate the text.. it's even better if you haven't.. Greetings from Italy.. Ciao🙋🏻♂️
I've watched a lot of reaction videos to this song, and honestly yours is probably the best - rather than reacting to the novelty of opera (to those who aren't used to it), or even just the power of Pavarotti's voice (which is obviously no small thing and a major part of this song), I felt like you felt the meaning of the song with the depth that it was meant to be felt, and understood what makes opera so special as a genre through that. Awesome to see!
For me , the lyrics don't matter ..As long as it is sung in Italian, you can make the area your own..As it reaches your soul and bursts out the magnificence of a wonderful story ...
You guys Bro Reaction are my favorite of all reactions. You guys know what's the best. Your Led Zeppelin reactions hooked me. Pavarotti is the best ...to me...that ever lived. Better than Caruso ..better than Bocelli. He was a gift to us all from God. Talent like this is beyond great. It has no equal. Like Led Zeppelin...their talent is from God. Perfection on earth
No-one sleeps....No-one sleeps, Even you, o princess, In your cold room, Watch the stars Which tremble with love And hope! But my secret is locked within me, No-one shall know my name! No, no, I shall say it on your mouth When the light breaks! And my kiss will break the silence That makes you mine! (no-one shall know his name, And we, alas, shall die!) Vanish, o night! Set, ye stars! At dawn I shall win!
It might be interesting to compare the Italian style of opera with the German style of opera. Specifically, how about comparing Puccini with Wagner, Handel or Kusser. Very very different styles.
Wonderful. I love your reactions to such brilliant singers as Pavarotti and Dimash. If you want to react to a wildly talented female singer, I would recommend Lara Fabian (she has worked and sung with Dimash--talk about amazing)! xo
One of the reasons I love Dimash so much is when he hits his Pavarotti register, I hadn’t heard or felt it from anyone else except maybe bocelli. You guys NEED to see Adagio from the Chinese Singer competition (blue suit) where he melts your face off with that range.
Lulu in Hollywood is saying absolutely true words about Dimash Kudaibergen. Also, 2018 performance of SOS, Love is Just a Dream Olympico Your Love (composed by Igor Krutoy and lyrics by Lara Fabian) My Swan Daybreak Confessa-Diva Dance So many more Dimash is a musical genius and a pure hearted man. Also, for a magical treat, watch Ti Amo Cosi from the 65th Anniversary of Igor Krutoy. If you watch the entire performance, you will be blown away by some of the world’s greatest artists. It is mesmerizing.
There's a lovely performance on YT of American Renee Fleming singing "Casta Diva" in a beautiful, intimate concert recital in Russia. (Exotica: Peruvian Yma Sumac "Chuncho" in a jungle stage setting from the 1950s; her vocal range puts Dimash et al to shame.)
This is a great, great, performance, but Pavarotti wasn’t even at his peak anymore when he sang this! You can find performances of this when he was younger where he can hit those high notes an d hold them longer. But he was a consonant artist to the end.
ciao !! L'acuto finale di Pavarotti e' molto piu' lungo !!! almano il doppio !!!!! anno dimezzato per motivi di reggistrazione ma al teatro e molto piu' lungo !!! vi ssicuro !!!!
