The way she dissected Luciano's performance and explain to him what was happening, was perfection. The way he felt the music and express it was beautiful ❣️
There are many, many absolutely brilliant opera singers with immense talent. None of them could ever in a million years do what Pavarotti did. He made it seem so damn easy its infuriating. There are people who are once in a universe talent. Luciano Pavarotti can sit side by side with Freddie Mercury as a once in a universe level of talent. There will never be anyone like those men ever again.
@@stevecasucci9679 When someones types a comment they are speaking their truth. There is no need to override someone else's truth with yours. That's kinda like someone crossing out the words on a tombstone and rewriting it with with a crayon. How about just asking people to hear the person you consider important and when that happens write something that makes Enrico Caruso seem in a good light instead of "Correction! Enrico Caruso was even more powerful & the Greatest of all time!!!" This does nothing except insult the memory of both artists.
I was lucky enough to see him live on his retirement tour - although old and fairly frail, he sat through the performance but the minute he opened his mouth that was me in floods of tears - his voice just gets to you !
Every time I hear him sing this song I get goosebumps and in the middle of the song the tears just flow. As a child whose parents are Italian, I heard these opera songs along with the Italian folk songs. As an adult not only do I enjoy these special performances but also on an emotional level it brings me back to my beautiful childhood. Pavarotti was an amazing and exceptional singer, a gift from heaven. Thank you for that explanation of what he mentally and physically has to prepare and do to produce his sound; and I know that was only a small portion of what is needed. I always enjoy your discussions when doing the reactions.
It’s wonderful to see members of our young generation appreciate talent like Pavarotti, and they all seem to connect with the music right away. This tells me two things: first that Pavarotti is universal, and second that these young musicians are smart.
Very interesting seeing you talk about what Pavarotti was actually doing in this video. Of course you didn't have enough time to explain all the techniques he was using but having that understanding as a trained singer of how much is going on and being to explain some of it was great. Most people don't realise the complexity opera singers have to master over years and decades to produce performances like this. The sheer concentration and energy is huge and a performance like this is an enormous effort. His facial expressions at the end, no doubt enhanced for the performance, are genuine - he felt what he was singing. I have had the privilege of seeing several operas at the ROH in Covent Garden and live performances are on a different level. For those of you who haven't it's worth it. If you think a recording is a powerful experience, it's a pale shadow of a live opera. The music and especially the singing penetrates so deeply that you go into a kind of trance-like shock and the experience is a fundamental one.
Turnadot. Puccini was talented and one of the greatest.composer in history and for Pavarotti performing this piece is noted as one of the most memorable and best performances ever sung. If you know the story of the opera and Prince Calaf at his point when the character sings this Nessun dorma "nobody sleeps" it makes it even more beautiful and powerful
I was so happy to see that you reacted to one of my favorite opera stars....luciano Pavarotti. Yes, he is one of Dimash's idols but, can we expect anything less? Did you react to the video of Dimash singing with Andrea Bocelli? It is so much fun because Dimash was a nervous wreck...lol. Bocelli asked Dimash to come backstage with him and he sat down at the piano and asked Dimash to sing because he wanted to hear his voice. It is a great but, short video. Thank You for all of your reactions Peace and Love Take Care
This was actually a really cool video. I like how you guys discussed the technique and stuff like that, I found that very interesting. Plus I think it made a great reaction because you actually understood what was going on in the video.
Jesus. How you describe the 'effortlessness' is making me aware of the effort in ways I could never have understood before. Thank you. You must be a very good singer yourself.
She wanted to pause and talk technique, he was getting right to the intangible core and majesty of the way his voice touches the soul. This IS what Heaven sounds like. Amen
This is one of my favorite opera pieces thanks for reacting to it : ) I’ve heard this song plenty of times but everytime it bring chills and tear to my eyes it’s beautiful😁
@João Vitor Jorge Milani If you want to see that then watch the original video. There is no need to call people stupid because they were doing what they told you they would do, REACTING.
There are once in a generation voices like Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston and there are once in a lifetime voices like Luciano Pavarotti. No need to wonder if someone decided to auto tune or play around in post production. How dare death for take such raw talent. It's a shame.
What a day for me. Loved your reaction as always, to Dimash. Then one of my all time favourite tenors. I have wanted to hear Dimash sing 2 songs. Nessun Dorma and phantom of the Opera. Pavarotti is an idol of Dimash’s and I for one definitely agree. You picked I think his most iconic song too. Great big thank you again for the smile you have put on my face.😊
thank you for your reactions and your intelligent discussion, which was so refreshing. music has transformative powers, and Luciano's performance is a demonstration of that. it goes through you, even if you dont understand the lyrics.
First time listening to one of your reactions. I was most pleasantly surprised at the discussion of what it takes to produce a sound like that from the human body. I learned a lot. Also enjoyed the philosophical discussion at the end about being a conduit for the creation that flows through one. You will find many scientists and inventors describe this same phenomena. I think it may be that we all have a certain frequency that we can tap into if we take the time and make the effort, whether it be music, science, art, literature - you just have to find your own note.
It's such a shame people aren't aware of Pavarotti. The views on this video are an indication that many young people under 30 have no idea what a once in a lifetime voice sounds before auto-tune and other post production software made everyone sound like a god. I'm not into Opera, I usually prefer female vocalists like Morissette or So Hyang over male performers because the sound of a chest-mix belt feels so much more full than males hitting the same notes in a head voice/mix. This is not the case with Luciano Pavarotti.
Very knowledgeable young people. I enjoyed the way you broke down vocal production and technique. I’m a high school band/choir director and am always sifting for ways to describe the intangibles of music to my students. Also for ideas to better instruct proper vocal production that is within students grasp. I’m going to adopt (steal) some of the things you shared in this video, hope you don’t mind.
@@dbarcene of course, but you can comment after listening, if you stop the lyrics too many times your judgment cannot be relevant. I watched this video bcs i was interest in their comments, but i can comment that their listening was too fragmented
Pavarotti, he was a real phenomena. You don't have to like opera to appreciate this, it's so so good. Another mind blowing performance by Pavarotti is in Miss Sarajevo Passengers ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Zlmg0yzxKvQ.html By the way, i was thinking... that guy looks like someone famous.....Bingo,now i know it. That guy looks like French footballplayer Mbappé.
Actually, the chest register doesn’t resound in the chest, the name just popped out due to the feeling of vibration in the chest area, the resonance is actually happening in the head, as all the other registers. And the resonance don’t have anything to do with the diaphragm support, they can be, and often are, simultaneous.
although i hit in the breach of :plz dont do disturb the song of the Master:, i smiled all along the vid, because, the young Gent really tries to put up, but anway, youll never close up to the master and the adorment of the ladys for Luciano, tell you what, back in 90S in my midtwens, i had two female friends, one in punk from look to music, and one techno hardcore- guess who gets them by only siging the first notes of an aria:). i had an tape with only pavarotti in the car for the freedom of music choice:D And dont be upset young men, he is(was in lifetime is for eternity) simply an genius in hitting the emotions of the audience, and especially of the Ladies.
So young, yet so knowledgeable. Very impressive. I’m genuinely curious to know if you would be able to explain the complexities behind the voice of Tatiana Shmayluk from Jinjer. Many “singers” & “vocal coaches” here on YT have tried, but most fall short. If you do decide to check them out, “Pisces”, while not my personal favorite, would be a good example of her capabilities. Fair warning, though- it’s quite a departure from the maestro’s music...
@Marie Whitbread That is totally Not true! Just the opposite! Caruso sang from Baritone to a Tenor High C! No singer had or has that range. Also he had a more powerful voice than Pavarotti. I know this from someone who heard Caruso ( no microphone ) & also Pavarotti. The guy from the Caruso Museum was friends with him. Hes now 90
Nessun dorma! Nessun dorma! None shall sleep! None shall sleep! Tu pure, o Principessa, Not even you, oh Princess, nella tua fredda stanza, in your cold bedroom, guardi le stelle watching the stars che tremano d'amore, e di speranza! that tremble with love, and with hope! Ma il mio mistero è chiuso in me; But my secret is hidden within me; il nome mio nessun saprà! no one will know my name! No, No! Sulla tua bocca, No, no! On your mouth, lo dirò quando la luce splenderà! I will say it when the light shines! Ed il mio bacio scioglierà And my kiss will dissolve il silenzio che ti fa mia! the silence that makes you mine! (coro: il nome suo nessun saprà e noi dovrem ahimè morir, morir) - chorus: (No one will know his name and we must, alas, die, die.) Dilegua, o notte! Vanish, o night! Tramontate, stelle! Fade, you stars! Tramontate, stelle! Fade, you stars! All'alba, vincerò! At dawn, I will win! Vincerò! Vincerò! I will win! I will win!
You should have waited until it was over to start talking, it was like eating a fine steak, then taking it away to explain how the cow was killed butchered and cooked before letting him have more
Estaría increíble que reaccionaran a el tributo a los tres tenores del grupo Il Volo. Su género es pop lírico, pero su versión de esta canción es sensacional.
