Magnificent Luciano, as ever.

When the lights are low in this place, you get plenty of time for thinking. It beats the alternative, listening to the screams that come from every direction. Must have been years I've was left alone in that darkness. But when you look like I do, it's probably for the best.

This is the first recording of this aria by Luciano and it is probably the finest of all versions.

I'm probably a terrible person because of this but all I can think is "no more rice krispies we are out of rice krispies." krusty the clown.

Don't get me wrong, young Pavarotti was stunning, but when he made his recovery was when he really shone, in my personal opinion.
