Lucifer 2x5 Reaction | Weaponizer | Review & Breakdown 

In Lucifer's mind, Uriel coming down is Amenadiel's mess because: A - Amenadiel raised Malcom from the dead explicitly to kill Lucifer. B - Malcom was going to kill Chloe and Trixie. C - Lucifer was dying, leaving them vulnerable to Malcom, so he was desperate when he made that deal. Ergo, making it Amenadiel's mess.

My sister is a Pilates instructor - she has 7am clients nearly every day. Before-work crowd, I guess. As a night owl who struggles to go to bed before 1am, it baffles me.

This was such a heartbreaking episode...cuz Lucifer didn't just killed someone , he killed his brother. And he wiped him out of existence, no Heaven nor Hell. Just gone.

For practical reasons Chloe's home needed a new set because of the move of shooting locations. Storywise, yeah probably to get away from Mom.

The next episode is so so good. Maze has her bonding moment where she really does put herself out on a limb even though she scared of a rejection. Such great emotional acting.

Chloe is reading Coraline to Trixie. It was written by Neil Gaiman, who also wrote The Sandman comics. Lucifer in this show is loosely based on Lucifer from The Sandman. The Lucifer credits acknowledge Neil Gaiman as the creator of the characters. Maze is also in The Sandman. You should watch it, 1 season so far, a 2nd season on the way. Visually stunning show.

This is undoubtedly my favorite season. So many great scenes, so many emotional moments, and this episode obviously packs one hell of a punch.

I still find it fun that they gave her (Charisma Carpenter) another Wesley. My first thought when I heard that was if there was some strange Angel crossover.

Why Was Choe moving out? Chloe's mom offered the house while Chloe and Dan were trying to figure out their relationship. After they truly agreed on the divorce, Chloe understood that it was time for her to move out from her mom's house. In the episode where Trixie and Maze started their friendship, Chloe told her mom that she couldn't barge into her house, and Penelope made sure to remind Chloe that she let her live there rent-free.

Yes. he was an Angel not a Jedi. But I thought that too - when they described how the blade worked, I thought it would erase the victim like they had never existed.

The elevator scene is one of my favourite recurring scenes in Lucifer.

The blow up with Chloe's mom was just in episode 10 of the last season. It's only been about two months or so since then in the show's timeline.

No "golden dust", Azrael's blade make's spiritual essence (main thing for angels) gone, body actually stays. And yes, Uriel is gone... but you'll still see him, sort of.

Now we know that Charlotte is working. And we know that even "Angels" can be deceptive. An Angel, wiping out his own parent from existence. On both issues I brought up, we can never assume. (hint, hint) Now, the next episode is the one we, including you, have been waiting for. LUCIFER is at a strange place, due to this week's events. Great Post, Anna.

I forgot Phil LaMarr was in this episode. Very celebrity stacked. Every time Phil talked all I could hear was John Stewart or many of the other DC or Marvel superhero voices that he has done. Oh and if a being is all knowing and all powerful and does not step in that is because it was meant to be right. We have a way of establishing an idea of "God" and over time we reduce that idea to something more similar to human. I have always tried to understand the "God" problem in a very infinite philosophical knot. If "God" is so all powerful and all present then nothing can possibly happen in time and space without "God's" knowledge.

To be fair, 7am is only early for people who aren't "normal". My bodies clock is like... 7 hours off time, so my morning starts at 11... but everyone else in my family can regularly wake up at like 6am no problem. God this show was just so good. Just everything about it was fun

Uriel was kiled, because his skill (making patterns) simply does not exists. So free will kills butterfly effect theory. And God led a son who impersonates false and misleading theory, simply be wiped out.

Well, beginning with this episode, season 2 of Lucifer will become a rollercoaster of emotions. I strongly advise you to change your beverage from lemon water to something much stronger. 🙂 Why didnt God react or intervene ? Well, that's also the question I am asking. My rather fitting answer is: Maybe he approved the action. Not beforehand, but afterwards. There have been some critical events for God until now: Amenadiel reviving a human being just for the purpose to kill Lucifer, his brother. God did not intervene. Lucifer gets killed and is asking God for a favor. Lucifer was back in hell. We all think that that was the goal God wanted to achieve. But instead of keeping Lucifer in hell, he sent him back to earth. Or at least let him use the coin to get back to earth. Uriel went crazy this episode by trying to wipe out the godess of existence, aka killing his own mother and God's wife !!! Maybe God did not intervene because he approved the things happening to Uriel somehow. Just watch the next episodes. What if we dont get to see any reaction of God on Uriel's death ? Does it mean that he approved Lucifer's actions ?

Ah, yes... Uriel and the consequences of Azrael's blade. I think this is probably the episode that really starts the entire rest of the series in motion. At least through season 5... season 6 was meh, imo.
