Both Luci & John were scarier with their intimidation towards others either supernatural beings or humans alike. Also thought same habits but different abilities & methods. Luci is resourceful, inquisitive & persuasive. A master of deception. John is witty, cunning & well sophisticated. A brilliant tactician & master manipulator. An angel & a warlock. Luci is the muscle & while John is the brains. They're the opposite versions of Superman & Batman.

We NEED more Constantine and Lucifer interactions. They are so good together on screen. I suggest have Constantine either pop up on Lucifer at some point or just straight up do a Constantine Lucifer crossover show.
@karim benyoucef thats true in the comics, in terms of what we've dealt with in the show, he has as much power as slade in terms of abilities. We've only been shown flight, desires, immunity to damage, and superior strength with his weakness coming in the form of demonic weapons and chloe. Even then with the right heavy hitters, he would fall easily. His strength is somewhere on the "holding onto a driving car and struggling" level as well as being mildly capable in hand to hand combat. So in this case, he could probably be beaten by anyone in the prime justice league, flash from the cw and in more cases Green Arrow of all characters.
@@HeroFall what? He is far more powerful than fucking Slade. In his show he has no reason to use his full powers, hes literally fighting humans with guns. If he was fighting someone like the anti monitor he would destroy the anti monitor in like one blast.
Hero Fall I’m quite positive he’s holding back....a lot, him in his true form will destroy his human like skin and The Earth in the process. Not to mention, budget.

@@Zilegil I don't think it's a matter of "modern" English, since English is still English, as there are people today who have that last name in the UK that pronounce it as 'Tyne' instead of 'Teen'. I go by whatever the character's name is intended to be pronounced, Alan Moore, the creator pronounced it as 'Tyne' and in the comics more than once he has specified that it rhymes with 'Fine'. It all started with the Constantine movie which to many was their introduction to John, despite it being nearly nothing like him, but the way they pronounced his name in it stuck around since then. It's just an American thing that changed the pronunciation to their preferred way like with anything, regardless if it's correct or not, not too different like how the first Harry Potter book got changed from The Philosopher's Stone to the Sorcerer's Stone (although that is different and probably worse given that's an entire work change, I think it was because publishers were afraid that the word "Philosopher's" was too intimidating of a word lol.)

@@donpula6349I am a huge fan of The Originals, especially Joseph Morgan & Daniel Gillies. I’m also just as much a fan of Matt Ryan’s unfairly cancelled Constantine show & anything he portrays the character in & I had noticed both of them having those tattoos & knew they were friends, but never put that simple to deduce fact together. I remember almost every line in anything that I really like, but can be slow when it comes to piecing things together like that. Very cool.
It is just me or Tom Ellis's acting as Lucifer is so much more "effortless" and natural compared to the other actors that seem kinda "forcing" themselves into character. Just like Robert Downey Jr. was "born and natural" for the Iron Man character. I hope we can see more of Tom Ellis in the future, so much talent he has.
The question is, if he plays a different character, can he actually do that ? I think it’s much more likely tom’s just playin himself and it happens to fit
I love how this tells us that Lucifer knows about all this stuff, but just never brings it up because he doesn't care. I feel like it also suggests that Lucy is actually way faster and stronger than his show ever actually shows us, meaning he's possibly more like his comics counterpart than we actually think
@Lee Ruan A core theme of his character is that he never lies, actually. It's a personal code for him. The only time he ever lies is when he's lying to himself and honestly believes what he's saying (or wants to).

@@KBShow-bw4lj I mean, second most powerful? Idk. He has ridiculous amounts of real power but that's not what makes John Constantine someone to watch out for. And there are beings that far surpass him in just raw power. You should watch out because he knows how to raise the stakes, no matter the situation, to a point where it's not worth it to kill him, or even mess with him.He takes deals he knows are not in his favor, i.e. they have a "catch", and manipulates them to his side and comes out on top. The only one he can't do this to is The Presence

YESSSS!!!! I fucking love Matt Ryan’s Constantine he does such an awesome job. That was pretty good I would enjoy more Lucifer and John meeting it’s a great dynamic to play on. And how he’s always showing off for the hero’s around him is classic
Well in that would be pointless. Only reason detective decker keeps him is because of his magic powers of persuession but Constantine outclasses him in every way. Lucifer would just be a comedic sidekick
Who else thinks this version of Lucifer/Satan is absolutely spot on! The writers and creators of the show capture who Lucifer is better than any other movie or TV show previously, the seduction and charm, because The Devil is not some scary red beast with horns and a pitch fork, he was the most beautiful angel ever, he is seduction and sin, the one who tempts and offers are most dark desires
Both of constantine's "devils" are amazing tbh...Tom Ellis is perfect as the greedy/charming devil that tempts you. But the movie version with Peter Stormare is just perfect as the evil/malicious devil.
When this moment happened, I lost my shit because like I know Lucifer is a DC brand but this further solidified that any DC show that’s not on CW is now in canon with the CW Arrowverse because “MULTIVERSE”
Netflix Sandman would stomp this version of lucifer morningstar without even the need to know hand to hand combat, just put Lucifer and everyone to sleep or just manipulate the entire multiverse with anything Morpheus wants.. heck Morpheus can just take away " lie" and everything dies.
I passed out when I saw Lucifer in this scene because I watched Lucifer way before I watched the flash and then I saw Lucifer in the flash and I just died 🤗
You all know he can fight both the regular and anti monitor single handily and they call themselves gods, they have to be morons to think that when Lucifer is more powerful being “the devil” second to the only God(the real and only G himself), yet why not help in COIE I have no idea, but it wouldn’t be a crossover event if he did so.
Yes! I was thinking the same thing! Like maybe after all the crossovers there would be a final crossover between Lucifer and the Anti-Monitor but we both know how fast of a fight that would be and who would win. But still just for the lolz.
Cool little detail here, Lucifer and Maze have met this version of Constantine which implies Constantine has traveled the multiverse prior to the events of Crisis.
Did anyone notice that lucifer was staring directly into the camera and not where the people he was talking to were? That is why he feels so creepy, he is staring at you the audiance.
“JOHNNY!” I waited forever to finally hear him say that! This was the best, most interesting scene in the entire event! They needed to reboot Constantine movies or the TV show with Matt Ryan. Characters like him & Jonah Hex could exist in their own supernatural corner of the DC Universe & if treated with respect could be as popular as any superhero movies, especially what’s being wiped onto film these days! I am a bit biased & always liked the supernatural stuff better than the superhero stuff.
The constanTYNE pronunciation here really resonates with the same pronunciation they're using now in the Sandman, it's like a cool connection these characters using this pronunciation
