I sailed on Shell Tankers in the late sixties early seventies on what were known as VLCC (very large crude carries) the largest were M-boats Megara, Melo, Murex etc! they were all over 200,000 tons deadweight. They were at the time the largest tankers used by the Shell oil company. If you were not aware already I hope this information was of interest...
