Something to keep in mind is that FemRobin was the most popular character to marry Chrom to back during the Awakening Days. Male Robin and Chrom are like brothers and Grima outright says Chrom loved Robin no matter the gender. Their bonds are legendary.

@@googleisevil8958 Absolutely! I have always believed that Chrom will literally love Rovin no matter what, and that'd part of why I love their relationship, whether platonically or romantically. I just think having an epithet thats basically 'x's other half' is very... 👀 There's very little room to read that kinda thing as anything else imo and I genuinely find it incredibly amusing that the one calling Robin that is Chrom's daughter. Seeing any kind of Robin with Chrom on screen is just an immediate rush of serotonin and endorphins and whatever kind of dopamine happy chemicals to my brain honestly they're just so good!

@@victorvaquer94 Si ils utilisent "âme soeur" (je ne peux pas vérifier, mon jeu est en anglais, et c'est le seul équivalent de soulmate en français), c'est une assez mauvaise traduction je trouve Elle écarte complétement l'idée de renforcement mutuel et de mesure à Emmeryn que la "moitié" exprime, pour simplement les recaler à une simple histoire de compatibilité

I like to imagine them as a couple either way, since it doesn't take that much effort. Chrom clearly cares for and loves Robin so I just don't pay attention to the gender :)

@@oregano_cactus That's totally fine. But Awakening does make it clear that Robin is entirely straight, given that no gay romances are available for them (mostly due to gameplay with their kids). So you can ship them as a gay couple if you want, but Awakening says it's not a thing...

@@skynet0912 Yeah, it's my personal headcanon.....I would've loved it if you were able to romance Chrom regardless of gender, though, I feel like that might have been a nice touch and way to emphasize that their bond would've been special no matter the circumstance. Oh well, can't do much about it since Awakening came out so long ago....

This is actually fairly accurate. Chrom and Robin have always had cheesy dialogues and the like ever since Awakening. The difference is that having actual voice acting just makes it even cheesier.

@@cipher-one It was never this bad. Like, Awakening had some cheese in its writing, but there was legitimately a point. Here, it feels like Chrom & Robin are trying to see who can spout off the most cliche inspirational anime speech lines before the time limit's up.

@@Hawkatana Awakening is cliche anime as they come. Fully voiced lines definitely adds to it, but i really don’t think Awakening is any less cheesy. Considering the amount of hrs i have put into that game i would know.

@@Hadosama Awakening was my entry into the franchise, I'm well aware of how cheesy it is. Engage however completely blows it out of the water in that regard, and it isn't even close.
