'Lucky Day': Surviving torture under Martial Law 

People keep talking about how great the Philippines was during marcos' regime. But what people don't talk about is that this time was a abundant time for us because marcos asked for money from countries abroad, amounting to at least 20B dollars, money that we won't finish paying for until 2025. This money was used on infrastructures and various other things. Yes, the country was quite abundant at his time but there was also a mismanagement, because of this mismanagement we didn't get to have our own "Han river miracle", it's when becoming an OFW became a thing. Along with that there were also various human rights violations just like the one stated on the video. Yes, the country was clean and disciplined at the time but it all had a price. People weren't disciplined, they were scared for their families and them selves, they didn't have a voice, they didn't have the same freedom we are enjoying today, activist or not people are still people, at sa huli ang kauunlaran din ng ating bansa ay mag dedepende sa masa, papel lang ng gobyerno ay suportahan tayo.

a lot of stories like this i heard from different people came from different regions and every part of the Philippines, some of them are true and some are propaganda against the Marcos regime
