I was with a friend at an estate sale back in the 80s and he started opening books from the large shelf and shaking them. I was like HUH WHY?? he said people put money in books and forget about it. THE VERY NEXT book he opened a 100$ bill dropped out hahaha I was like GIMMI A BOOK!

I found 1 cent on the ground. Amazing discovery.

My elderly aunt and uncle passed away and it was time to clean out their house. They kept absolutely EVERYTHING!! Not in a nasty hoarder type of way, but everything was wrapped up in paper or plastic and put in boxes. The house was completely filled with these boxes which all of us thought was just trash. Turns out we quickly realized that everything was like a pristine time capsule, dating back 70 years and items acquired from all over the world whenever they would move. Items we found were lots of expensive vintage perfumes, vintage watches/jewelry, bunch of old coins, vintage toys/figurines, expensive silverware, paintings, vintage alcohol, basically every old collectible they had it, and most of the time in perfect unopened boxes. Quite incredible! Made the months of hard work totally worth it!

I don’t wanna be extremely rich. Happiness is the thing that really matters to me. In most cases, when people gets too much money, they can’t decide what to do with it. Let’s get a Royce, Alcohol= too cheap, let’s get a pound of coke , one wife, not satisfactory. Let’s get some hookers lol. (Life = a good living = love = Happiness ) cause nothing is going to your grave or crematorium.

I went picking through an old house and found a mint condition 1945 BSA Handbook. In the same location I also found an official BSA Plumb Hatchet with a miss-stamp on it. No idea what these two are worth but I have had offers from a few museums. Absolutely amazing finds for anyone who grew up in the BSA and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout like I have.

my wife and i had bought a used children's DVD for my son from a tradesmart and when we opened it in the car to check if it was in there or scratched there was $140 bucks laying on top of the DVD!!!! i dunno how someone missed that because when tradesmart bought DVD's they always opened the case up to check the condition of the disc but we were so happy to have that happen as we were in a pretty difficult place in life it was a good feeling to have some of the good karma come back to me as i am always trying to help anyone i see that needs it stranger or not and i never do it expecting something in return nor do i want anything in return

I once bought a purse that contained an old altoids container and some other odds and ends. When I got home and really looked at the contents I found several silver dollars dated before 1923, a few $.03 coins, a few old nickels and tons of Indian head pennies. Best find ever

My parent bought a house and as they demolished it to build a new house, they found a box with gold coin and jewelery. We still own this treasure and I don't know the real value, but that was one of the luckiest finds we ever made

I was given a box of old 45 rpm records dating from then1950s to the early 60s. They had belonged to my Aunt who had passed away when she was 14yrs old in 1962. They had been untouched. Took my husband for a day of yard sales to which we stopped at one he wanted a watch, the old woman was selling the box any watch for 20$ so my husband picked out one and then showed it to me turned out to be a 1938 Rolex, we had it appraised turned out 13,000$ not bad for a day out and 20$ needless to say he goes with me now anytime, and will always keep the special watch.

I’m gonna break my wall now, let’s see what I can get. 😂
