I read that an eye witness watched her dress herself in her room, with ladies in waiting assisting her hair, and described her as having blonde golden hair that was extremely fine like silk flowing down past her waist.
Thank you Jon 😊 So glad you chose Lucrezia as a subject for one of your videos, a fascinating woman. The Borgias were infamous family with Lucrezia being one of the most famous members for various reasons. A lot of the rumours about her seem a tad far fetched. Maybe she was a scheming femme fatale or maybe she was just a formidable woman playing the hand she was dealt. A lot we don't know about her but the mystique about her only adds to the fascination I think.🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Thanks Shane, had to be a bit careful with this video, her story is a little raunchy! But as you say much of it is rumour and little to substantiate a full understanding.
My cat is named after her: Lucrezia Borgia. That's how much I appreciate this unique lady of her time, and also of our time. Rumours and envy have always existed, but facts speak for themselves.
Funny how different people can turn a phrase differently. Have your cake and eat it ... the narrator says "it wasn't just that one cake." I would say, "there wasn't anything Lucrezia didn't eat." SAME DIFFERENCE I GUESS.
The image at 3:25 (Lucrezia Borgia, National Gallery, Melborune, AUS.), is not LUCREZIA BORGIA even if it is "Lucrezia" since the LUCREZIA DAGGER gives her away as Lucrezia, plus the ROSE of MYSTICA in the DAGGER, this in a drawing of LEONARDO DA VINCI's ANNA-MARIA SFORZA also on her chest, appears once more. In truth there was no LUCREZIA BORGIA, behind it was ANNA-MARIA SFORZA, who allegedly died in 1497 giving birth to an ALEXANDER, where she was buried in the SAN VITO (HOLY LIFE) monastery, although there is no tomb of ANNA-MARIA SFORZA, which raises certain questions, after all she was the daughter of a DUKE and prospective DUCHESS of FERRARA. It doesn't just disappear like that, unless someone wants you to take a closer look. ANNA-MARIA SFORZA is also the PIETA in the Vatican in Rome, made by MICHELANGELO BUONAROTTI, a facial comparison with the MELBOURNE PICTURE holds up 100%, maybe a HISTORICIAN should take a look at it!!! If you research a little deeper, the 4 papal children of Pope ALEXANDER IV disappear. That's how CAESARE BORGIA, ALFONSO D'ESTE was. According to historical reports, CAESARE and ALFONSO suffered from severe SYPHILLIS, but ALFONSO D'ESTE, incidentally also the HUSBAND of ANNA-MARIA SFORZA, made 8 children with the alleged Pope's daughter, whereby LUCREZIA inevitably should have contracted SYPHILLIS, what but she didn't, which cannot be explained from a medical point of view. Justifies, however, why CESARE BORGIA always wore a MASK behind which ALFONSO D'ESTE was hiding, who by the way is JESUS in the PIETA in the Vatican in Rome. Too bad, for reasons of space, we cannot write what there is to say about it here. The fact is, LUCREZIA BORGIA was actually ANNA-MARIA SFORZA. Whose "BROTHER" was the transsexual GIAN GALEAZZO MARIA SFORZA, alias SALAI = A-LISA (MON = NOM = NAME-A-LISA = SALAI) and was painted by LEONARDO DA VINCI as MONALISA, although Lisa del Giocondo is mentioned again and again , which it is not. The 6th nominal Duke of MILAN, always wore women's clothes and was not wearable as DUKE, however, married his COUSIN ISABELLA OF ARAGON, since the two looked very alike, so that people always thought, if they saw the Duke, it would be it's about ISABELLA. All of this was arranged by LUDOVICO SFORZA "IL MORO", who therefore had to take over the office of Duke of Milan. The actual sister of ANNA-MARIA SFORZA was BIANCA MARIA SFORZA, the EMPRESS of HABSBURG.
Hmm. Enjoyed the video but not sure I agree with the final analysis of her character. I will have to read more about her. Enemies can twist or exaggerate or even make things up. Apparently she was much loved by the people of Ferrara.
Superb as always I think its safe to say she certainly had more than one cake, we will never know if what's been written about her is true, many affairs but that was normal for those times,
Intriguing, would have like to have heard more on how "she" fealt her life went & her off her feeling on her brother, who was meant to be very protective off her.
Boy are you going to be shocked reading literally anything about the history of the Church which has constantly churned out hypocrites and monsters. Hold onto your hat when you get to them helping genocide First Nations people so well that Canada is just starting to find all the children’s bodies 60/70 after closing their re-education camps.
@@gingerkid1048 the Catholic Church's wealth is built on kickback from slave traders. The required extra money to save their souls for the evils of slavery. See treaty of Tordesillas. It divided the new world between Spain and Portugal.
I wonder how much said about her is true? Or if any of it is at all? People spread rumors back then like wild fire and it was hard to disprove or put outs many of them, though it was also hard to prove it as well.
Lucrezia Borgia is not my favorite woman, she was very much the victim of her father's scheming, and also her sexual lust, which she made no attempt to control! She paid dearly for it in the end.
Not that you care....but my mother's name was Lucrecia with a "c". I always thought it was a different but beautiful name. She was born 1919 Have a good day.
Even though I have no proof & I used to dislike this family, I now separate her from the rest. Her father was a pig, brother not much better. I would imagine incest or abuse was her introduction to life. Basically pushed from one male or marriage to another. I have family who were abused & for years they thought to be loved meant being with man after man.
