My bestfriend is a part of the group who made this game! She has watched your videos since she was 20 (she is 25 now and I can hear your voice from her room every day haha) and I can tell you that she was extremely happy and couldn't believe her eyes when she saw that you had played their game! Thank you for making my bestfriend happy ☺️💙 Greetings from Finland!
I enjoyed this--the Victorian vibe, the dual dimensions, the game physics and interactivity. Imo, it was very clever to have the child cover her eyes, like in a game of hide-and-seek, in order to change dimensions.👍 I _do_ wish there had been more of everything--a longer game, a denser environment, more threat, more surrealism, and a bigger payoff in the end.
The developers were definitely inspired by "Among The Sleep", which is super unique horror game. Especially the travel through dimensions, which was a huge part of the "Among The Sleep", including the running suggestion, which appears towards the chase sequence in that game, yet this game does have puzzles, nothing too scary or creepy, just that specific genre of horror, where you have 2 main locations to go in and out. You know, it's weird that you did not mention the game Chris, you had a huge playthrough of that game years back.
@@CJUGames When I first saw your playthrough of that game, I was so invested. Of course, back then I did not had an account, lol. I should definitely re-watch that again. You are the best Chris 🙌
I like that the fact that you can teleport with you hands, and that there are two different worlds, just like a child's imagination very creative, I like it great job 👍
Loved the idea of this game so much, I actually want more of this story I feel like the doll has something to do with her nightmares and why in the end it was just her bed and the doll’s ..
Damned fine game. I was absolutely sure you could have used the drawers as stairs - there seemed to be an object on a hook in the starting room, right above a chest of drawers...
Just when you think that you've seen all that a game genre has to offer, along comes a group of students from Finland with a completely unique & original perspective. Very enjoyable!
Love the concept here! It would be cool if they continued it :) I understand that because it's made by students, they may not have the time to continue this particular game (or may have other obligations due to schooling which take priority), but I would really love to see this fleshed out even more! I liked it more than a number of games in the same genre which have come out of established studios- seriously well done :D I do have one suggestion, though (which no one has to pay any attention to): I think Lucy's footfalls are too heavy. It sounds like she has gigantic feet, and that messed with my immersion because I'm a very auditory person. Children can be good at sneaking, partially because their footsteps are naturally quieter, them being smaller. If the child is consciously trying to be sneaky; their footfalls can be very quiet indeed. Perhaps also the interval between footsteps should be shorter? Again, because of their smaller size, children's footsteps will be faster than an adult moving at the same speed. A small pitter-patter should suffice. Perhaps more importantly: if a kid *thinks* that they are being sneaky, their perception (and from what I've seen, this game is largely about Lucy's perception) of themselves is often that they are being so quiet and stealthy that no one could possibly notice them (at least, this is what I've observed from my nephew and nieces when I catch them doing something naughty and they're so surprised that I heard them). It might be useful to have a child demonstrate various gaits, on different surfaces, with different footwear, to get a better idea of how that should sound. I'm an amateur author of children's books (I'm working on getting something published, but my anxiety disorder gets in my way unfortunately often). I've had my oldest niece act out a lot of the dialogue, facial expressions, and body language I wanted captured in the illustrations for the novel- in fact, my profile pic here is a rough sketch of my niece as the principal character of my book, made by a good friend who is an amazing illustrator (I'm gonna be honest, a large part of my drive to get this book published is because I think my friend deserves to be more recognized for her talent in the industry) :P *All in all, the sound issue is a relatively small nit-pick on an otherwise good-looking game! Well done!*
Game's very good. Love the music/audio when there's danger; helps to build tension. 👍🏻😊 Seems like there's so much more that should be part of this game.
Hm, such hassle-free transfers to another dimension reminds me of Silent Hill: Origins with Travis traveling to other dimensions through mirrors, but the scenery is more like Among The Sleep. Nice gameplay, as always :)
really? just to grab the doll by the end? I thought you had to lure the monster girl and crawl into the tubing system and trap her in there, then transfer her soul back into the doll or something. Idk , did not like the ending. Gameplay was awesome as always
