Link to Open Letter to Keir Starmer - for nurses, medical and healthcare professionals to sign (currently working or retired) www.scienceontrial.com/pmletter Note - I call the so-called 'indictment period' arbitrary - for that is what it appears to be, on the surface. But its very arbitrariness is merely a cover for an aspect of the structure of the framing and persecution of Lucy Letby UPDATE: Telegraph article in relation to this Open Letter: archive.ph/2024.08.26-132348/www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/08/26/nurses-terrified-working-nhs-lucy-letby-conviction/ NB - prospective signers of this letter can also be those not currently practising, as well as those practising, and those retired.
@@WesleyWattley-xy4fg Thank you. Just to be clear - it's not my letter, it was written by a group of very concerned nurses - who hope that other nurses and healthcare professionals will sign it. I was just reading it out and hoping to publicise it. :-) All best. Mark (and it's very kindly hosted by Science on Trial - who has done so much great work)
Why wasn't Alison Timmis's letter predicting deaths on the unit shown to the appeal court either? The leaked report on the infected water supply was suppressed, the RCPCH report never saw the light of day at the trial etc etc.Add to this witness intimidation the time must be approaching for Sir David Davis to call for these verdicts to be thrown out and Lucy to be released. She has already had 8 years of her life taken away from her, 4 of them in jail.
Astonishing that the door swipe evidence was not mentioned by the defence in the recent retrial. It proves that Dr Jayaram's account that he caught LL "virtually red-handed" is fallacious, there was another nurse present! Thanks for this Mark.
Narcissists are attracted to high status positions and revel in attention and fawning. They have fragile egos, so when criticised take it very badly - known as narcissistic injury. When they feel threatened narcissists are known to indulge in smear campaigns. As Lucy had criticised some medical practice and behaviour at Chester and had her complaints upheld, it is possible this triggered a narcissistic smear campaign from one of those who felt criticised. Perhaps this was the start of the finger pointing at Lucy and a determined smear campaign against her - she had simply upset the wrong person.
I agree and if you've ever been on the end of someone's narcissistic injury and revenge they will go through anyone and anything to get even, that may include potentially harming others to make their target look bad - I've seen this happen myself. A manipulator will go to crazy and bizarre lengths to get their own back and most people wouldn't believe it because thankfully most people don't think that way. The other doctors in the case all have videos of interviews they did on the case - one stands out in particular.
How can the courts be misled? Written information and images can be misleading when only parts of them are shown. This is often referred to as “contextomy” or “out-of-context” images. Here are a few ways this can happen: 1. Cropping: By cropping an image, important context can be removed, leading to a different interpretation of the scene. 2. Selective Display: Showing only a part of an image can highlight certain elements while hiding others, which can mislead viewers about the overall situation. 3. Perspective: The angle or perspective from which a photo is taken can make objects appear larger or smaller than they are or emphasize certain aspects over others1. 4. Editing: Images can be digitally altered to add or remove elements, which can completely change the meaning of the image. 5. Only showing like they did with Lucy, just the list of babies that died on her shift, just to give people who still don't understand what Cherry picking means. Lucy Letby was their target scapegoat, so they were going to do whatever it took to make the poor girl look guilty.
@itsmeagain7825 by wanting all the evidence to be shown, meaning the world can make an infirmed choice on a whole picture with all the facts and nothing hidden . That's Not what happened last time and the reason it was so wrong , Not quite getting what you struggle to understand about that.
As a clinical dental technician and healthcare worker I am disgusted by the trial and evidence used to convict a fellow healthcare worker Miss Lucy Letby. I will be signing this letter
More proof that any statement that comes after “As a…” can be totally disregarded. Perhaps the defence should have called a dental technician as an expert witness in addition to the plumber.
I can't understand why the Defence called the plumber as a witness and not the company that tested the water and found the bug in the taps. Someone recommended a course of action but the unit merely fitted filters on the taps.
Agree, there should be a water risk assessment, which is statutory compliance and a live document of cleaning, flushing, temperatures, lab test analysis reports and recommendations. Call the plumber is a p0rn film script, not a defence for someone looking at a whole life order. Very poor.
There are extensive laws related to water plumbing and pipe work design related to preventing stagnation areas in which bacteria can multiply. Likewise maintenance and third party quality protocols. When I hear of sewage in the sinks these laws have not been followed and this area should have been closed when baby is present.
Carl Perkins explains this in one of his videos, that the prosecution - that would be the hospital had unlimited means to find solicitors and witnesses. LL's defence had £30 000 over 10 months who would have had to turn up and sit outside court over all that time (thus not earning anything). So basically her side couldn't match the funding they had so really she had no chance.
At the heart of the doubts over the fairness of Lucy’s trial, surely the single most worrying concern (amongst a growing list of concerns) is that the bulk of the evidence used against her was provided (written or oral) by individuals and institutions who should themselves all have been viewed as potential suspects. This means there was an inherent conflict of interest which no form of safeguard could ever fairly address, rendering the evidence as being tainted by bias and wholly unreliable. Doesn’t this point alone undermine entirely the credibility of the evidence used against Letby?
They looked at an average mortality rate to identify a rise abd therefore a concern but if in previous years some were being coded as stillbirths, it scews the perspective. There could have possibly been more deaths in previous years making the "suspicious spike" not a suspicious spike?
Medical notes in the wrong date order? Eeek. Surely not?! I 100% agree that this thoroughly needs to be looked at again, there is so much wrong with this case and this conviction.

I mean there were no red flags in her past and there would have been. As a stable woman does not just start killing babies for no apparent reason. And the fact they have not looked into the doctors in particular the Indian doctor is negligent.
As much as I'm impressed by this letter it will be ignored. Sadly, I don thnk there will many signatories to get any traction. the mantra is 'justice has taken place and we are not opening another enquiry'
Ive been wondering where you have been. This is so sad and if you consider the Maddie McCann case and they were doctors!!!! So much money used on this McCann case but poor Lucy Letby. Love from Mary Ann English living in Queensland Australia. Hate to be bitchy but will he help considering she is an ordiinary white English woman and not of " diverse" background.
16:07 And what does that mean? What about all Lucys female supporters ? What group would you put them in , such a ridiculous thing to say. I'm a very happily married woman with 2 beautiful children before you start placing me into some silly nonsense group. Please think before you comment .
@@HENNAtabasun1990 Putting words in my mouth is fine by you apparently but I phrase my messages very carefully. You have read into my message what YOU want to read into it. A blind man on a galloping horse would notice your faux outrage tactic, present such arguments to those stupid enough to fall for them, I can assure you, I am not that stupid.
@vickyvictoriawilliams3254 why was the beverley Alitt case believed without question and not this case.i can't help wondering if the middle class aspect of letby is influencing the case.
@melgrant7404 I dont know about that case but followed this daily. The CPS has lied, Lucy has been convicted on proven false information. The jury and family's are also victims, sadly of the corruption, and it will be turned.
I am a nurse and have been for 25 years. I followed this case closely for obvious reasons. In my mind there is NO doubt that Letby is guilty. I've discussed this with other qualified and experienced health care professionals at work and am yet to find anyone who thinks she is innocent. This includes nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, student nurses, dietician and even one of the domestic cleaners. These are skilled professionals who work in the same environment as Letby. This arm chair detective nonsense from certain people on the internet is incredibly irresponsible, and I can say from a nursing perspective that people with no understanding of the healthcare profession thinking they know better is an insult. I don't know what this Mark Mayes agenda is; maybe to undermine the legal profession or the NHS. Or maybe both. I know there are various people on the internet being used by malign forces out there to undermine the west by trying to spread disagreement and mistrust, and these people are doing a good job when you look at our divided society. I don't know, but what I do think is anyone reading this think very carefully before you get caught up in this new conspiracy theory. Take it from a qualified nurse that I would say without hesitation Letby is guilty.
So you're expecting people to trust your word? Are you playing God? How dare you suggest that Mark has an agenda other than for truth and justice. He has put in a lot of time and effort going through the evidence which didn't sit right with some of us. Conspiracy theorists??? How ignorant you are. The biggest criminals in our society come in suits and ties and hold credentials of some kind. You don't need any credentials to operate on basic common sense, so lady you may well be a nurse of 25 years but you obviously don't know it all because other nurses that hold professional qualifications are speaking out about this case so who's right? You've stated that you have discussed this with your friends and colleagues who all agree with you as if that has any relevance to the truth. If my opinion was worth anything and I would sink as low as you have I would say that you're either a troll or brainwashed. You haven't said a single thing that makes any sense or how you have determined that she's guilty except for "trust me I'm a nurse and don't put the organisation I work for under disrepute" you're not interested in truth and justice only to keep your system from ever being challenged. If you really are a nurse then you are a disgrace. God is watching.
