Hello there! :-)

I started this channel to make short videos of the area where I live, and the town nearby, captures of plants growing in my little garden, and recordings of songs and poems, book reviews, and other readings. Sometimes I may ramble on about a certain topic or news story.

I have ended up doing a lot of videos about the Lucy Letby 'case', without ever planning to. I believe that Lucy is innocent. I believe that in time her convictions will be overturned. I am praying for this, and sense that it will happen sooner than many think. The 'narrative' is changing, day on day.

Many thanks to anyone who watches/listens to any of my videos, or indeed any part of them. I very much appreciate this.

God bless.

Mark.

I wrote on my substack that I really wanted her to be innocent but had accepted the verdict. However, like everyone here, I still have serious doubts. But I also have serious doubts about another case, which is coming up to its 40-year anniversary next year. You can guess which one. Keeping scapegoats in prison to cover up for someone, or some circumstance, is a real thing.

It is starting to come put that the COC neonatal unit was substandard for a variety of reasons. Some of that will come down to the staff working there based on staffing levels and their clinical experience, as well as the unit's suitability for what it was being used for. It's far more convenient for a failing NHS Trust and hospital to be able to pin the blame for potentially avoidable deaths on one rogue staff member than to admit to running a service so awful that they were clearly negligent. This is horrendous for the parents, as well as for staff who were doing their best in a failing service. But it's clearly not in the interests of justice to refuse Letby a retrial under these circumstances and when the evidence presented by the prosecution was so scientifically and factually flawed. Anything less means Letby is serving a life sentence for NHS failures and not that anyone on a jury could be so sure of her guilt on any of these verdicts if the evidence were properly presented. There is also a huge issue as to whether any jury could properly convict in the light of the mountain of adverse punditry in all media. A brief search on this platform reveals the enormous hostility based on the flawed evidence presented at her trials and following the verdicts and sentencing. The concern is that Starmer's government will dig its heels in. After all, he led the CPS which has some questionable practices, including the same bias of certainty that leads the police to fail repeatedly.

I gave birth in that hospital at that time so I know first hand how disgusting it was. I was kept in the “sweat box” with no food or water for 24 hours. I saw how dirty it was. I had to give birth in a huge room with just a bed no toilet no way of dimming the stark fluorescent lights. The place was not clean and parts of the building closed off because they were in such a bad condition. The consultant didn’t have a room but a cubicle. The birth of my daughter was nothing like the experience of my other children. I left as soon as I could. I wouldn’t be surprised if these babies passed away because of the state of the building.

I am a nurse and have been for 25 years. I followed this case closely for obvious reasons. In my mind there is NO doubt that Letby is guilty. I've discussed this with other qualified and experienced health care professionals at work and am yet to find anyone who thinks she is innocent. This includes nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, student nurses, dietician and even one of the domestic cleaners. These are skilled professionals who work in the same environment as Letby. This arm chair detective nonsense from certain people on the internet is incredibly irresponsible, and I can say from a nursing perspective that people with no understanding of the healthcare profession thinking they know better is an insult. I don't know what this Mark Mayes agenda is; maybe to undermine the legal profession or the NHS. Or maybe both. I know there are various people on the internet being used by malign forces out there to undermine the west by trying to spread disagreement and mistrust, and these people are doing a good job when you look at our divided society. I don't know, but what I do think is anyone reading this think very carefully before you get caught up in this new conspiracy theory. Take it from a qualified nurse that I would say without hesitation Letby is guilty.

The future of the NHS could be decided upon untruths. That is if the outcome of the Thirlwall enquiry is based upon, to a great degree, the dubious "doings" of Lucy Letby. In other words the future of the NHS is going to be decided by the opinion of a certain, Dr Dewi Evans. And if that is so, god help us all.

@somedude8877 The NHS was and will be again fit for purpose , we just need to weed out sneeky , unprofessional NHS managers who are dragging down what the NHS was set up for a safe pair of hands , They firstly need to treat their employees and patients like human beings and not commodities they can treat appallingly and dispose off to cover up their mistakes, I mean how low can they actually go, that they can willingly make out they have a serial killer on a baby unit instead of what was actually happening, manager failings of the worst kind . NHS managers all need to be trained on how to take responsibility, and how to treat everyone as a human being would be a massive start.

Expand article logo Continue reading They have also asked that the terms of reference of the inquiry be amended so that other potential reasons for the increase in baby deaths during 2015 and 2016 can be examined.

Those same people will be more than happy to accept that they were underfunded and understaffed. More than happy to accept that lessons need to be learned, training undertaken and budgets increased. Now that we finally have an austerity government, you can expect a lot more heart string tugging from the previously militant NHS lobby. The policies don't change just because the administration wears different socks or whatever. Lucy Letby's a pawn to these psychopaths. By deprioritising the content of the original trial - quite explicitly - they're already throwing her under the bus. What matters, as always, is $£€$£€$£€

I do not remember this kind of thing happening ever before. When many highly intelligent, eminent and qualified people voice concerns about a conviction. Hopefully they can outwit the CPS and judicial system and force them into a position where they have to revisit the facts and proof behind this conviction.

It really should not be a question of outwitting the CPS and judicial system. But, having worked on both sides at the Bar, I can see that all too often it's not about establishing guilt or innocence but about which side can outwit the other. The worst thing after a conviction that is wrong or has huge doubt hanging over it is the shameful way that our appeal system fails. The Criminal Cases Review Commission is not fit for purpose, as illustrated by its deliberate blocking of the Malkinson appeal. Meanwhile, in "slam dunk" cases involving various degrees of offending involving child p*** the convicted avoid doing any jail time.

At the heart of the doubts over the fairness of Lucy’s trial, surely the single most worrying concern (amongst a growing list of concerns) is that the bulk of the evidence used against her was provided (written or oral) by individuals and institutions who should themselves all have been viewed as potential suspects. This means there was an inherent conflict of interest which no form of safeguard could ever fairly address, rendering the evidence as being tainted by bias and wholly unreliable. Doesn’t this point alone undermine entirely the credibility of the evidence used against Letby?
