Bro had the game in da chokehold 01 -04 even tho he was out longer making hit the early 00 we got hit with 🔥nd 😂 videos especially turning on mtv or bet getting ready for school
@@JomarGreenley-fh3gtI graduated high school 2004… I have memories from every year of HS associated with a Luda song 😂 really had us 14 yr old suburban girlies making up dances and singing every word to What’s Your Fantasy lmao 🤣🤣
I turned 21 when this song came out. And this song was in every club, bar, lounge you couldn't escape it. Luda was one of the most consistent rappers of the 2000s
The southern movement in hip hop was something special in the early 2000s they knocked down the wall and came through hard unapologetically country, and this coming from a New York City guy.
Being a Florida guy, I can say southern Rap/Hip-Hop really revolutionized the game in the early 2000's. This made a lot of northern rappers change up their traditional rap styles and go to a more commercial style of Hip-Hop/Rap where they still have that up north flavor but it appealed to a wider audience. Rap and Hip-Hop in the early 2000's was truly a movement more then than any other time. Then you couple that with Caribbean artists collaborating with these artists, and it was just a crazy marriage in the music world. You had so many styles and different sounds.
@@tkghhhhh Millennial here. Word of Mouf was my first personal purchase of anything. I was 10. He is one of the best rappers of all time. But isnt that what French Gaming is saying as well?
Underrated is like saying he doesn't get the recognition he deserves. But that's to millennials..newer gen. To us 80s babies..we have him all his props. We bumped the fuck outta these songs. Couldn't go anywhere without hearing luda. East to west coast. Back when west coast would be late on east coast music and east would be late on west music
Another classic from Luda, I miss the old Luda with braids. Man this song brings back good memories, I'm still getting this time machine ready, your more than welcome to come. 🕑💺
Futuristic ass beat right here!!! Pharrell, Missy, Timbaland, Darkchild & Swizzy were the gatekeepers of anything and everything addictive on the soundboard and this production was a HOT one! Man this shit goes hard 19 years later
@@cw2022Organized noise, Trackmasters, Rodney Jerkins, Babyface, R. Kelly, Jermaine Dupri, Mannie Fresh, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Pharrell, Kanye, Dr Dre, Dre Harrell Beats By Pound, all them niggas is some genius produers
I remember the first time ludacris came out , I was hooked. He brought character to the rap game, He was very different from other rappers at the time. He was so far ahead of time.

@@giorgiopereira6742 Not really. This new generation of music just sucks period. My generation still liked classic rappers and other music before our generation, and rappers from my generation are still being praised, BIGGIE, PAC etc. Majority people will agree that rap and just music in general nowadays is just trash
I swear Pharrell and co. has been behind so much great music for such a loooooong time, it's such a treat to go back and see why you loved an old song so timelessly
WHat I love about Atlanta and the artists down there is they all stick together like a family compared to NYC where we battle each other based on what borough you from. ATL know how to do it.
Junior year of college.......... was played in every club and every house party... non stop.... nobody got tire of it.... still haven't. Hahahaha. Please take me back.... please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
as I said 4 years ago and I'll say forever. This beat right here... My God. Pharrell and Chad. Those flutes, the steal drums.... only this version.... this shit will forever knock... The greatest production duo of all time .What I wouldn't give to see this being created in the studio
Bro, GREAT COMMENT. The studio had probably set on fire when they made half the beat. had to finish the other half somewhere else. I could only imagine
I met a girl in school that had just arrived in NY from ATL. At first , we did not like each other and had a serious cultural clash, but after a fight (HS days), we got to know one another better in detention 🤣. One day, I went over to her place to hang out, and she played this video for me; that was the day we became best friends 😍 I miss these days!
iwatch videos Eminem repeated 9th grade three times and dropped out and he’s one of the greatest rappers ever 😒 Education means JACK SHIT NOTHING AT ALL
Ludacris in his early days was the full package man and a staple to the music of my childhood. Had the best videos, good lyrics, best energy, overall GOAT of the early 2000s in my opinion if you really think about everyone else they were really only great in one aspect some maybe more than just one but not as well rounded as him in my opinion. Loved jay z at that time too but early 2000s for him was already onto the blueprint 2 and the black album and only really enjoyed listening to his albums to chill. (Not taking anything away from jay z his work in the 90s was some of my fav.) but ludacris always got me hyped up and his videos were always something else and entertaining as hell only one who held a candle to him in that regard might have been busta.
It is hard to explain what this video gives you as a feeling. I used to be a little Russian boy when this song released and it gave me a strong fell that I can go through all these afro-american struggles and be strong. The beat, music and the most important video makes me strong and happiest that I ever been. Sorry for English I hope everybody could understand what I meant.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate that he spent the extra money to film this on a high quality camera. So many videos on RU-vid from even ten years ago look like they were filmed with a potato.
The reason why artists like Nelly and Luda was so popular was the simple fact that they was different than everyone else in 2000 and 2001 their raps their style was different and that's why people like me loved them
LUDA IS 1 OF THE GREATS. You had to feel that old school fresh drop music video vibe. He went hard every time. those first few cds were FIRE. Nothin but respect & props
