Probably a team of people on rotation. And they kinda have to watch him. Imagine something goes wrong and he gets injured. Mr Beast would be blamed if he wasn't taking care of a guy that he put in a circle for 100 days.

The creator gets paid regardless if he watches those through or not. Its literal youtube ads that you have to watch through for it to make a significant contribution to their pockets

@@gkrees9509 my stance on this being "payment" has changed. I do think that if a creator is ok with people reacting to their videos, the reactor shouldn't skip sponsorships but if the CC doesn't like reactions, people shouldn't "react" to it. As for the sponsorships it depends, Some of agreements are a flat fee, as in regardless of interaction, they get dayed. However other sponsors (usually the ones with an affiliate link) are based on purchases and that is why showing the sponsored segment and the code helps the CC more

@@gkrees9509 He is exposing his audience to the sponsorship as well. The better that performs, the better deal an additional sponsorship from the same company could be. But ludwig using adblock is equivalent to an anonymous user using adblock. Revenue is based on clicks and analytics, and none of those are affected by users watching another user watch the ads.

He was reading a chat message there, he corrected himself before that, saying it was his idea, but he obviously can’t code so he hired employees to do it for him.

He can’t code so he hired other people to do that, it’s not like he stole his employees ideas. His employees wouldn’t have made the extension if he didn’t pay them.

In a vacuum for non content reasons it would probably be "worth it", but it would be pretty darn stingy to only offer $100k for a video like that when it's a hard challenge that takes up a large chunk of time for someone. Mr Beast will probably make more than $100k off of the ad revenue of that video alone-- nevermind the intangible value of a successful video.

Think of it this way, Mr. beast is basically employing this person to work for him 24/7. That's 168 hours worth of work in a week. In a normal job, you get time and a half hourly rate after 40 hours. If it was 100k over 100 days, that'd basically equate to a job that pays $30/h. Which don't get me wrong, is a very good job. But is a job like that, that's barely over the national average ($28.37), worth it if you have to do it 24/7 and if it's coming from someone like Mr. beast that is a millionaire and basically gives out money for free just to pay you the normal average salary of a regular job in America. Not to mention the risk of getting paid $0 an hour for all the hours you "worked" and stayed away from your family for if you don't go the full 100 days
