Herman Li did a reaction of her playing gone of his songs, and he was blown away. He said, on the video, inciting her to come, anytime they are in Europe or France which is where she is from, for her to come on stage and play with them, or just come and hang out. He was really blown away with her solo part of the song.
Welcome to the world of Tina S. My favorites are the same as Anthony's: For the Love of God, Altitudes, and The Loner. She subtly changes them to make them her own. I might throw the Eruption cover in also because it was my introduction to Tina. everything she does is worth watching. you'll start noticing that she rarely looks at the fret board and makes everything look easy. Loved your reaction by the way. I would also suggest you check out a band called The Warning ( 3 sisters from Mexico).
It really is amazing! There aren’t many videos on the channel so I’ll probably end up checking all of them out eventually.. sooner rather than later I think ✌️
Herman Li posted a reaction video of her playing his (Dragonforce) song “Through the Fire and Flames” - and he was pretty blown away. Oh - and it’s an upward of 5,000 notes over the 6 minutes, an average of 7 per second! I’ve watched piano teachers who are intimately familiar with this piece, who are absolutely blown away and can’t stop saying that she DID NOT MISS A NOTE.
Vai's For the Love of God, Becker's Altitudes, and Moore's The Loner are my three favourites of Tina's. Breathtaking! P. S.... and Herman did invite her to jam with him, after he heard her rendition of Through the Fire and Flames, and said he knows who to call, when he gets tired of playing it!
ITS HER RIGHT HAND, NOT HER LEFT, THAT IS CREATING ALL THE MAGIC. PEOPLE ALWAYS WATCH FRET HAND. if you can pic like that, the FRET fingers just follow
dude, i played gtar since 1988, took me 2 f0okn hrs tae learn first 6 seconds of this, it inspires me to try harder rather than chuck geetar in bin lol. we loce u tina ya mad frenchie ~
It blows my mind every viewing . Love seeing other people's reactions , mine was the same , overwhelmed . Everyone , barr two perhaps , who Ive extensively argued with , snore.... are blown away by this performance . I can't imagine how anyone will ever improve upon it . Breathtaking stuff eh . Listen without watching of a Sunday morn , all the best , Adz
New channel! All my old reactions are already there and i’ll be posting new videos all the time.. taking suggestions over there for new stuff to check out ✌️ ru-vid.com/show-UC0AfvZ6rXJQ-_HyNc2ffQQw
You keep making me have to make comments, lol . I watched a classical musician's reaction to this and she said she didn't miss a single note. Added some metal flair, but that's it. Sorry, just watched this so many times and reactions. Always like to see a new one so i can enjoy it again.😁
This is the “MS” arrangement from Rocksmith. It was transcribed by Dr. Viossey in 2011. Every guitarist on YT playing this song (metal version) is playing his arrangement.
That's awesome! I better get back on the game and start practising.. maybe someday I can put own my own cover of this piece that's 1/10th as good as her version ✌️
The piece you quoted is Fur Elise, a different work by the same composer. The most famous part of Moonlight Sonata is of course the first movement, but the third movement is fairly well known as well. It's the second movement that nobody remembers. "She looks like she's playing a piano, her fingers are so far apart." Well, yes, that's not a coincidence. The piece was written for piano. Playing it on solo guitar is, presumably, rather challenging. In normal guitar playing the left hand just selects keys/chords (by stopping each string at a given fret, in well-established patterns), and the right/main hand (or pick) just strums -- on any given beat, it either hits one string, or a series of adjacent strings, or possibly even all the strings, but that's it. What she's doing here is significantly more advanced than that. The left hand is doing cello-esque pizzicato stuff, and while the right hand does strum part of the time, at other times it's doing complex accordion-like playing. Thus she is hitting way more notes per bar than is typical for a guitar, and in much more elaborate patterns. It's NOT an easy piece.
@@SidJFarmer She also did a cover of Eruption and Van Halen congratulated on Twitter and invited her. -- She also did a cover of Comfortably Numb and Pink Floyd congratulated on Twitter and invited her.
Wish we could watch "Beethoven reacts to Tina S" ..lol. I'm almost 50 and this girl has made me question everything I ever thought I knew about playing a guitar... Simply AMAZING!!!!
Good reaction! All knowledgeable commentators say she misses no notes. One did claim she did not get a pinch harmonic at one point, IDK. Welcome to Tina addiction. This was her last RU-vid as others have said.
Those armonics are her choice, not part of the sonata... and she playfully omits it the 3º time to tease us, just before the last epic shreds. It's absolutely on purpose, imo...and lovely
A classical pianist who is very familiar with Beethoven´s moonlight sonata and who reacted to that as well confirmed Tina didn´t miss a single note. Just for the record. He also pointed out that the 3rd movement is a very hard piece to play on piano but it is even way harder on guitar especially played in that tempo Tina did..because usually it last something between 7-8 minutes and Tina did it in 6....
Funny you should mention Herman Li. He reacted to her cover of Through the Fire and Flames and his reaction was OH SHIT! You should check her on that one too.
Herman Li also said that he knows who to call if he doesn't want to play "Through the Fire and Flames" any more, and he's invited her to jam with them.
Herman actually reacted to her dragonforce cover. Wanna say he might have offered her an autographed guitar to come on his podcast. Not directly, just in his reaction video.
Great reaction Sid👍 Apologies, but I just discovered you tonight as I always check out anything new posted about Tina. I was gonna recommend some stuff of hers to watch, but the other guys were quicker out of the blocks than me. But basically check out ALL of her stuff because it's ALL epic. As a Herman Li fan, I know you'll be blown away with Through the Fire and Flames...She's actually incorporating both guitarists in her interpretation...just watch Herman's reaction. Class! Now there have been several theories over the years as to why she hasn't posted anymore. I've tried to dig up info on her, which isn't easy. But I think there are various elements of truth in what I've found. However, there's a guy calling himself ''Research Videos'' keeps spouting off that she died. NOBODY HERE BELIEVE THIS GUY. He's even changed his name so it sounds like he really knows what he's talking about. Much of what he says IS correct...so it lures you in...but he's basing the fact that she died on because she hasn't posted on RU-vid or any of her social media in 5 years. She has other reasons for that...Just ignore him guys...I do now. Tina is doing well...However, I don't think we'll see her posting fantastic RU-vid videos anymore...but I hope I'm wrong... ...and ''Research Videos''...don't bother replying because it'll go straight in the bin...
Il s'appelle comment maintenant "Research Videos" ??? Il est très facile de prouver qu'il ment : If you think she's alive, it's very easy to prove it: show us photos, videos, concerts, comments, CDs, interviews, emails from TINA in 2021 - 2022 !!
To all the people who threw disdain towards this performance, thinking it was sped up, FUCK OFF! You're just disappointed in your lack of ability to play the way she plays. She put in countless hours to be this great. I'll defend her no matter what. And, if you're listening, or you happen upon this comment, please keep this in mind: We, people like me, will stick up for you no matter what. You don't have to fight the negative/jealous comments. Leave that to us. Stay strong and realize you're not alone. Have an awesome life.
- Tina interview: "The comments of the jealous and the haters and trolls do not interest me, I don't care, they do not know the music and the guitar, they are unknows. It is only the reactions of the professionals that interest me, and I thank Van Halen, Pink Floyd, Dragonforce, Dream Theater, Jason Becker, Steve Vai for their congratulatory tweets!"
It has been nearly 6 years that Tina performed this song and short after that she quit playing. Time to look forward and watch other talents that hopefully stays longer active. What about this young talent? She let me forget Tina: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J4_AU52vkPE.html
fun fact at the moment of the rcording of the video she was only 17 yo and she had start plays guitare since she is 9 and she is french, but due to a huge shitstorm of jealousy around her channel she stop to persuit her studies as lawyer
IDIOT !! M.S interview : Tina, how old were you when you started to play the guitar? How many hours a day do you spend on it? - Tina S : "I started to play classic guitar when I was 7, but electric guitar is kind of different. Then, I started electric guitar at 13 years old."
It was Tina's last video, posted during her school holidays in August 2016, the day before the birthday of Dr VIOSSY who composed this version in 2011.
She's not adding notes. Rocksmith actively adjusts the songs to your skill level( I wanna say even in the middle of playing through a song, if you're doing well it will make it harder. Don't quote me on that part though.)If you got good enough it would eventually be at this level.
I've already got a few reactions to their stuff on the channel. This song's on the list and I'll try to get my reaction filmed as soon as possible! Thanks for the suggestion ✌️
@@SidJFarmer there is actually a video of him playing the whole sonata (all three movements) on RU-vid. I've never heard anyone play as well as him for Beethoven.
