Luffy screaming “ATTARI MAEDAAAA” always gives me goosebumps man🔥🔥🔥

Fights in OP are emotional because it's not centered around the animation, or the choreography of the fight but rather the narrative around the fight. We felt emotional for Luffy defeating Lucci because he's the last wall towards Robin's freedom. Remember, defeating Enel was centered around Skypeia and Noland/Calgara's promise, and defeating Crocodile was centered around Vivi's narrative.

It’s been nearly a decade since I watched this scene, but it still gives me chill.

This episode is so full of voice acting that makes you tear up

One Piece's fights are heightened with emotional significance and symbolism, despite not being a battle shonen, that's why the victories make us cry with catharsis.

It is without a doubt one of my favorite chapters, great reaction ❤

Luffy screaming that they'll all go back together, followed by Robin's name, her tearful smile of happiness, and Luffy's huge grin, remain one of the most heartwarming scenes of the series for me.

Another reason I think it's so emotional is the fact that luffy was pushed farther than ever before. Lucci was almost too much for him. There is also that dread of what will happen if lucci gets to the rest of the crew. There may not be too much threat from the random marines, but lucci very well could and would kill the rest of luffys crew if luffy failed to take him down.

I am not really sure , but hell, i wish i could see the moment Luffy`s VA screams that "ATTARI MAEDA" in the studio, it must feel like you could see her soul screaming for getting up and beating pigeon guy so hard. i don't remember on which sight i watched this fight but when luffy shouts jet Gatling they actually made the word Gatling appear like Gatling again and again and it made it look so much better.

Hey guys, don't leave the channels again... because of you guys I start watching one piece as well.

Luffy durability is insane too. Six King Gun (Rokuougan) was hinted several times more damage than Impact Dial. I assume it's almost same with "Reject" that 10x more powerful than normal Impact. In this fight luffy receive 3 Rokuougan, with one of them is "Ultimate Radius" (we can assume it's almost twice as hurt as normal Rokuougan). Means Luffy at least receive almost 40x Impact Dial and still standing. It's insane.

This is the first time (in the series) in a match that Luffy was pushed to its limit physically. *Keep in mind, Luffy’s entire body, including internal organs are made of special kind of rubber to the extent Enel’s millions of voltage didn’t effect him on their fight in Skypea. Most of normal blunt force (or impact) won’t work against Luffy, but on his fight vs Lucci, he barely made it. This shows that Lucci is physically strong. Just like most of men, he is not immune to cuts from sharp objects.

There are so many undertones and un-spoken threads coming together in the final moment of this episode... Its truly a masterpiece... Usopp showing up for the first time, his non-apologetic speech to Luffy, him goading Lucci in order to force Luffy to his feet, the ploy succeeding, Luffy taking more damage but catching himself before falling again, the reveal of Jet Gatlin! (COOLEST MOVE EVER!)... All topped off with Luffy screaming out to Robin and his crew after collapsing, the grin and look on Robin's face as Luffy's words sink in, with the most fitting music playing over top, accented by Luffy's signature trumpets flourishing as the scene cuts back to and ends on him with the biggest most joyous and cathartic invoking shit eatin grin and "shi-shi" of all time!.... Its just so damn good! So well done! Truly a Masterpiece of the highest order! May the world smile kindly on the souls of those who created this...

Just to let you know "haki" is kind of a big deal, It will be explained later in the series and you will be able to identify some places haki was used even very early in the series. It will blow your mind how much planning Oda sensei has done to have those connections. ☺
