Here's my review for Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon for the 3DS. I've wanted to talk more about this game for a while, and this probably won't be the last time that I do so on the channel.
I can only assume that Luigi's Mansion 2 HD will be virtually identical on the Switch, so consider this my glowing recommendation for that game as well.

Congrats on beating Dark Moon! I beat the first game a few years ago and enjoyed it. It was hard switching from console to portable for it; I remember owning it, trying it and being like "eh I'm good for now." When it comes out on Switch, I'd be happy to give it another go. Leo's bark compliments the OST well :P

Thanks 🐶 I hope that the Switch version will impress you! Something as simple as alternative control schemes would make the game so much more accessible. It was a little unusual at first getting accustomed to aiming vertically with Y and X.

I can’t believe that you didn’t even mention Polterpub, that’s literally the best part of the game (I think, I haven’t played it yet).

He's really cute in this game, but he's not on screen often! You actually hang out with Toads more than you do with the pup.

If you like completing tasks and solving puzzles, you should enjoy it! I know that you enjoy a bit of grinding in RPGs, but I'm not sure how that translates here.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 is probably the best in the series but I did enjoy my time with Dark Moon. I really enjoyed the 3D effects of this game, one of the best on the 3DS.

This game's has its ups and downs but it did turn Luigi's mansion into an established series. If there's one thing I'd is good factor to get this on the Switch it would be to: A: Find out how Polterpup became Luigi's dog B: the first Scarescraper that has a difficulty setting.

You mean as far as Nintendo verifying that they could continue to make sequels? I feel like the first game put the series on the map, then people slept on the second game, and then everyone came back for the third.

@@TheLegendofLeo Yes and no. I feel like Dark moon made Nintendo interested in the series, as that game sold twice the amount of the first game, with the third selling 2 times that amount.

@@Mymy_64 Oh wow, I had no idea that Dark Moon outsold 1. I see so many people on RU-vid mentioning how they enjoy replaying 1 for Halloween, but no one's ever talked about Dark Moon on the channels that I follow. Thanks for the info!

its been a long wile since i played this game but i remember being disappointed with it. granted i love the first game a lot so when this game was announced i was really excited for it. but i think the reason why i dont love this game was because a lot of the missions felt repetitive and not memorable wish is probably the reason why i barely remember it well. i can say the 3rd game i like just as much as the first game. i commend them for trying something new for this series (as they do with most nintendo games with 2)

Aw, that's too bad. Do you typically not get a kick out of maxing progression in games with missions? Like getting high scores in GTA heists, or getting all collectables in these mission. I'll let you know what I think of 3 when I'm done! I hope to play it next month.

@@TheLegendofLeo most cases no unless you get something thats really cool and worth putting in the effort for. but sadly in most cases i dont really enjoy doing them also im not a fan of GTA online so thats also a no lol. weirdly enough 1 game that i did like collecting a lot from was Ys9. the powers where you can fly and run up walls made getting collectibles more fun than most games, also helps to that the map in that game is not super huge so it was easy to get around

@@BioPhoenixReviews I like the sound of Ys 9. What you just described is like what I'm experiencing in Pokémon Legends: Arceus right now. Ha, I don't know if GTA was the best example since I don't play online, but I think there were single-player missions that you could repeat for higher cash payouts! I get your reasoning about rewards though. Good to know that little tidbit about your taste in games.

@@TheLegendofLeo Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a game i was thinking about a few times as it looks more refreshing then most pokemon games. also i forgot you can do heists in single player. im just so use to people talk about the online mode for that game since rockstar barely updates the single player but yeah i was never a huge GTA guy in general. i liked messing around (who didn't? lol) but the main missions and story i was never crazy about
