It's insane how much he carries he always has majority of the teams points or all the shots are because of his assist. He needs another big piece to the puzzle of getting a ring
Absolute destruction of any Sun's player who come to guard him . I think CP3 will remember this series for the rest of his career and beyond hhaahhaaaaa . Luka is wonder which appear once in 100 yrs , like MJ , Bird , Kobe or Magic . End of story .
that kind of never gets-pressured confidence that luka has is rare. Great All-Around Skills and is well known Clutch player since he was a kid. i saw him play one time in-person and i was surprised that he's bigger and more massive compared on what be looks on TV. he's not just talented, but a friendly and handsome person too. when i was a kid, that type of all-around skill luka has was my dream
His speed is deceptive. It’s hard to gauge how fast or slow he’s moving and he can speed up, slow down instantly while stopping on a dime. His footwork is outstanding and he’s an elite player. Defenders are not sure where to go most of the time. They’re out of position most of the time. Then there’s his size. He’s the height and weight of a small forward while playing at point guard. So he’s bigger and stronger than almost all of the guards while being too quick for most forwards. He has posted up centers. He’s fearless. Anyone dismissing him as too slow or soft will get embarrassed.
He makes up for relative weaknesses with some super powers, like his handle helping with lack of explosive first step. Of course I mean face up iso, his moves out of the post and on the move are excellent and very good, respectively. His three point shooting is good enough to help also, although it is not sharp shooter level but has excellent range. The machine gun dribble to the fling pass under the hoop is great to see.
The main thing I noticed watching this, besides Luka’s brilliance of course, was Chris Paul. His olé defense help, Jay Cutler/diva WR like body language, and cheap play.
the mavs started negatively 0 to 2. .and ended up "able to crossed the delaware". .one of the very few electrifying games in nba led by a 22-yr old in his sophomore or junior year . .what the mavs need now in order to excel within five to eight years time is gerry krause type of gm and phil jackson or steve kerr type of coach. . . .krause drafted MJ, built a team around him, drafted pippen as back up, replaced collins with phil J and his vision paid off with three rings in a row. .upon MJs return in later part of '94-95 season the bulls failed. .and krause genius surfaced again . . hired rodman, of all players which he believed could reinforced the bulls back into championship contender. .and the unexpected and birth of the immortal trio hsppened. . . .luka alone could only make the mavs a viable contender not a champion team. .
I love it Luca and Tatum get away with so many push-ups and elbows.. no wonder they start complaining like a whiny baby when they don't get what they want..
I’m going to say this because I see no one else is saying it. Elite player, absolutely elite. The only thing I hate that the media tried to do was the “no help” narrative when we know the only real player who’s ever really suffered from that. This roster was built completely around his skill set and he’s literally the only player in the league who’s team is like that. Those guys are absolutely playing to their full potentials; none of them over exceeded their talent and when they didn’t, and showed their actual value to the roster, they immediately screamed no help. I’m not having that. You don’t expect role to semi-starter players to raise their level. He had enough help as the roster was constructed; if he didn’t, they don’t beat Phoenix. Brunson, this postseason, showed he got a lot better and it wasn’t a case of him not showing up, he was getting more attention defensively.
I agree on the media nonsensical comments, especially from R. Miller, no help narrative is stupid! But I have to point out that this roster was actually a result of Mavs trade disasters in the past, since Luka came, there was no real "good" trade for them(remember getting J.Jackson, J.Richardson, James Johnson, KP,… The core of players is still the same since Luka’s 1st season, Maxi, Dwight, Dodo, JB, they have been there since day One, the only game changing acquisitions are Reggie and Spencer,… Tim Hardaway is imo overpaid for what he brings to the game, as well as D Bertans, but that was just to get rid of KP,… So, Mavs definitely wasted a few seasons with such a miserable front office when poker players were in charge of basketball operations and imo miserable player development, the leap they made this year is noticeable difference between Rick Carlisle pathetic approach and J.Kidd class act,… I am really happy that guy is gone
@@jebestakonesto nah agree with this 100% fam I just had to point out that I was not a fan of what the media was trying to portray for the man already in his career; and besides those poor moves though; I remember drafting Dennis Smith with a lottery pick and giving him up the very next year because they couldn’t make him fit with Luka; those are the types of things I mean when I say completely built around him: trading for Porzingis (injuries happened as we know) but him also not even lasting 2 years there…they made moves to support Luka constantly if something didn’t work out for the team is what I was getting at but you’re absolutely right. And I’m a Heat fan but I love the game and his game altogether. How do you feel about them not resigning Brunson?
@@marcoslevya I think hes just trying to say that the Mavs org catered to Luka, like they did everything they could to try to maximize his play style, kinda like Harden in Houston. I mean when you got a player like Doncic , once in a lifetime player, you'd be wrong not try to do you best to build winning basketball around him. I feel like the media narrative is a bit mixed, while he has a great team who showed TF up in this series, he doesnt really have a second star, thats where the help narrative is, they're not saying he doesnt have help as in great role players and borderline all stars on the team, they're just saying he doesnt have that one player that is like Lebrons Kyrie, or Curry's Klay, or Jockic's Murray, or Leonards Paul, Bookers Paul ect ect ect...he does not have another big name with him that is guaranteed to be able to take over a game at any time, now in a general aspect, to say he doesnt have help as in his team is bad is just BS, Brunson, Dinwiddle, Finney, Kleber, Powel so many great players on that team that arent big names, imo some of the most underrated basketball players in the league, and they show tf UP!
suns defense is trash, hahaha, they just let luka get what he wants, I'm so sad seeing cp3 getting cooked in every possession, how come this team is the number 1 seed?
how are they trash they took them to 7 games, and had a collapse game 7...why are you sad to see a small/old player like CP get cooked by a guard that is way bigger than him, he bullys him like a a real bbal player should, Cp is like a kid on the playground to Luka It took the Mavs like 5 games to really figure the Suns out and win 2 ina row again, The Suns dominate almost everyone its just the matchup really went against them when Dallas made adjustments
