Bro did you watch the finals he next to his dad who still married to his mom who btw in her instagram said mom to a son and has a granddaughters I think they fix there issue now
More context: Luka didn't intend to do anythingy, but later found out that his mother was allowing her boyfriend to do buisnesses with Lukas name, which made him furious. That is why he is taking action now.
@@RamsLakersDodgersWhat about Kobe? Don't remember his parents literally owning the trademark to her son's name, image and likeness and making money off it. Are you going to compare apples to apples or this apples and watermelons? Sure but parents aren't what you'd call stand up folks, but Kobe folks turned sour because of his choice of girlfriend at the time. Luka Mom when he got drafted literally took over his name and allowed her boyfriend to use it to create businesses. So again, how are they the same thing?
@@evilformerlys4704It’s the same damn thing. Both sides are wrong. But close minded boomers/GenXers want to justify things that happened back in the day🤷🏽♂️
Parents kill thier own children, abuse them which is basically how you turn a child into a voilent person or criminal. Lukas mom, already had european fame, paid for luka to get into the best training camps, invested a lot of time flying him to euro tourneys. Remember that boy started dominating the euro league when must kids his age were either getting thier licenses or still driving on a permit with an adult. He gave her that trademark, but he wanted HER to invest off it, not her bfs that he sees them as leeches. Once a mother takes her bf over thier son side, it's a betrayal that feels like what you thought was a happy marriage and find out the live of your life, was just living off your money but emotionally invested in her 2yr affair. Idk how either feels, but I seen the change and anger rise in my friends after those kind of situations.
All it took was a single Google search to find out exactly what happened. He consented to his mother trademarking his name and then when this happened he was simply doing the correct legal thing to do when trying to settle a copyright dispute.

A parent that exploits their own successful child, as if that child wouldn't probably support them lavishly anyway, deserves no mercy when the Karma cards are dealt

Who knew, the person that raised you and guided you to pursue your dreams could easily become your enemy and go against you, hope Luka will be alright in the end because cant imagine being in that situation
Nah, the one who inspired/guided him was actually his father who was a basketball player himself, his mom is the typical toxic babymama ( a former model, I'm sure their love had nothing to do with his bank account ) who kept Luka away from his dad and fed him hella bs which ruined their relationship. Now she's showing her true colors with her own son.
@@Cyantist13 No she actually wasnt. She would visit Luka as often as she could like in Holidays etc. There is a interview before Luka got drafted were she was talking about it. And btw in Europen its quite normal for these young prospect Athletes, to be away from their family if they join those Youth Pro Camps in foreign countries. Its the same with Football/soccer etc.
@@MegaZack61 I heard players that are minors either live in dorms or with a family assigned by the team. Must be weird living with a random family while you learn the language.
this makes my blood boil. what a horrible parent. if she truly cared for her son and was a good mother, she’d give up the rights immediately when he asked, and then he’d made sure his mother was very well taken care of. instead she gonna have nada, not only financially, but losing the trust of their child… (if luka didn’t already dislike his mother)
I doubt most good parents would encourage their children to play professsional sports. It's not a smart play. She obviously loves money. She got lucky and it paid off, but she doesn't know when to stop.
@@michaelangst6078 how did i know they hadn’t had a rocky relationship for years? idfk i never said any of that lmaoooo. i said “if luka didn’t already dislike his mother” to cover any bases. how about you settle down before you attack others for the words YOU put in their mouth, michael.
She’s the type of person people would claim “raised him” and “guided him” too where he is… but the reality is a toxic woman or man like this NEVER has your interests in mind… it’s always me me me. I hope she loses the trademark and her son for her selfishness.
And it’s one that, at least for me, is really hard to side with one side or the other. So I know his parents didn’t like Kobe’s wife (Vanessa? I think) But obviously she was who Kobe fell in love with. Where it’s almost impossible to navigate is how justified the family’s dislike was, though I kinda lean towards there was some justification and that she may have intentionally drove a wedge between them. But then his parents sold his memorabilia, which isn’t cool. But then it sounds like Kobe refused to give them money, and they were in need of some. But did that give them the right to sell the memorabilia? Probly depends on the reason Kobe refusing them financial help, was it solely bc Vanessa wouldn’t allow him to? My feeling is that Vanessa had at least a little bit of a toxic personality which pitted a very strong willed family against one another which never ends well…I dunno tho
@@MrKurtykurtKobe was a very messed up guy. On the surface, he was perfect. But look how he ended up. He literally turned into a piece of charcoal on a mountain.
Lots of bad parents in our world, look at what Brooke Shields mom did to her for money. One of the Baldwin brothers calling his teenager a pig...Good luck to Luka.

Luka is experiencing the most literal term of “Your enemies are closer than you think.” But it’s not friends or teammates in his circle, it’s the person that brought him into existence.
What I really hope is that they get back together with an agreement, seeing a mom vs son is never nice, I hope she comes back to her senses and realise this is her son.
Lmfao 🤣 She deserves every penny man why they hating on Momma like that? Over some money her son is being greedy if I was in his shoes my momma could name any price I would send it to them! It’s not like she stole it either she just found a way to make more money off her own idea didn’t she?
@@HunchoHamza Except his mom has rights to make stuff like shoes and clothes under his name and pocket everything. Like if you made a big company but your mom owns everything under your name.
Imagine your own mother trademarking your name and trying to milk you outta your own pockets like wtf is not like luka isn’t going to take care of her anyways this just straight sad but shows you where her true love is ITS ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT THE MONEY FOR HER…
When you make if people aren't willing to work for you and your brand to make their own fortune rather than leeching then leave them behind. But that being said, take care of your parents even if you don't feel like they deserve it. Better to have people who gave birth to you happy rather than damaging your brand.
I think the boyfriend is whats bothering Luka, he feel his mom is being used, and im sure she is!!! Dont know who boyfriend is but she better have prenup if they marry!!!
I’m with luka on this one if luka and his mom had a good relationship all u gotta do is ask your son and he’d probably give it to you the fact you’re diminishing his opportunities proves you don’t want the best for your son and only care abt yourself
Up until the Draft Luka apparently had a great relationship with his mom, and either an estranged or no relationship with his father. Since then the roles have apparently reversed
@Yessuh I’m him you're white knighting. Luka is a super star, been one since his rookie year. Maybe he's over rated but he's no fraud. It's clear that she's cashing in on his success and trying to use the whole mothering thing as a shield. Luckily, Luka is smart enough to not let that hinder him. There's times where your family will be your biggest haters or con artists. It's just the reality we have to face.
yeah wouldnt sound the same in Slovenian. C makes the ts sound like tsar. No one spells their name like that in Slavic. I think Luca is more Latin based. Luka is more Slavic based.
@@charless3484 I guess best way I can describe it, outside of Tsar is Tsunami. So it would sound like "Lutsa". Lu - ts (as in "ts"unami) then "a - Lu - "ts" - a. I mean people know Luke, Luca, Luka all mean the same thing. It just he was born in Slovenia so everyone spells it their own way or depending on the family language if its Germanic, Latin or Slavic. I think in Greek since its a another old language they pronounce it - Loukâs. Though I'm not Greek so cant speak on it that much. So point being I think everyone has their own peculiar way of pronouncing it or spelling it.
