Like my fellow commenters said, it’s about storm chasing and the movie twisters. I want to give a little context to the meaning of a few of the lyrics (from my interpretation as a Texas storm chaser) “scared of nothin, but I’m scared to death… I can’t breathe and I catch my breath.” Revolves around the pure adrenaline rush from chasing a big tornado. You’ve never felt that much fear and danger while still feeling more alive. “But I keep chasing that same ole devil down the same ole dead-end highway.” The same ole devil represents the tornado, and when chasing a tornado, it really is like driving down a dead end highway. You can either turn around, and go back to safety. Or you can continue chasing, getting closer to that dead-end. Just my interpretation from my perspective. Love your reaction!

He wrote the song for the movie twisters and the devil he's talking about down the road is the twister when he's saying long black train and you hear the whistle coming. That's the sound of the tornado. I live here in the Midwest and we get tornadoes all the time here. So when he's chasing that devil down the highway he's a storm chaser going after that tornado and the siren. Are the sirens going off? When's the tornado hits the ground. So basically he's just playing a storm chaser in this video for the tie in for the movie twisters

The first verse describes the dangers of storm chasing, something Combs has no experience with. The second verse doubles down while describing why the storm chaser craves danger.
