@ScottyGem321 because they only missed top 4 by 2 points not last but the previous season. I actually had $50 on a freo Carlton gf before last season, as I thought freo would continue from the season before and Carlton to be the risers, Carlton Rose, freo were young and slipped but got to get a whole season into developing both future key forwards that would only benefit them this season and beyond. So I backed up the bet this preseason.

I think a cohesive team develops a rhythm to keep the ball moving forward, which fuels confidence. Sydney had no rhythm and could not function as a unit. Instead, they chipped the ball around, giving PA all the time needed to structure a defense and mount an attack after an attack. The handball game is the most lethal of all, but it requires the most effort. Sydney had no structure, and loss of confidence saps energy. Hence their lateral play doomed them. Even a great coach can lose his way as Beveridge showed for several years...before waking up. Longmire is smart: he'll have his team tuned up for the finals. But I hope not because I'm a WB fan.
