Thanks for this conversation, guys. It was very refreshing getting a lot of these things off my chest. While I believe I am living my dream, there are some fears associated with it and they are Important to discuss. Appreciate you guys.
Luke, if you start teaching what you know, lm sure you’ll find new spark and inspiration for life. Plus, no cucumber days anymore 🤷🏻. It’s not novel idea, but is proven to be effective and you have what takes. Other thing I’m going over lately is the idea of not just being good, but being interesting. You’ve been there, you have don that, re build or reconnect new audience by sharing what is like to live like that. Anyhow, good luck 🍀 and remember, there is now way to happiness, happiness is the way!
I came here because of Luke and I've found you guys! Luke is the kind of friend I would like to have. He is so talented and I can relate a lot with the burnout. Thanks for the interview!
I'm from Argentina and Luke was the first youtuber that I seen who talk other language. Being Argentinian and a really fan of One Direction (and all are from UK) now I can feel the luke's accent so North American and omg I love it Sorry for my English jajsjs
Hey friends, this video is quite different to our usual content. Initially the plan was to create a couple of shorts but we ended up talking with Luke for over an hour. We found the insights he shared to be incredibly valuable and didn't want to keep them to ourselves. If you're interested in understanding the truth behind purusing a path as a creator, we hope this video can add some value
What a cool format you guys have. Surprising you don't have more subscribers. When I see people comment that it's like a double edge sword. On one hand I'm like, "Yeah...they get it." and on the other hand I'm like, "Yeah...wtf algorithm!?!" Either way, keep grinding guys!
Luke inspires me with every film he makes. His curiosity of this planet & his desire to meet the people who inhabit it gives me seek discomfort vibes but more homey? i can't really describe it
Same here, Luke is an incredible storyteller and loves how he throws himself into all of his adventures!! And we feel you, it's kinda hard to describe, he's in a league of his own 🙌
So many creators get burned out and leave to pursue other things. It is certainly a rewarding but not an easy path. Thanks for showing both sides of it!
Ahh thank you so much Jon, means a lot coming from you! This was actually supposed to be just a quick short and not interview but we ended up talking to Luke for over 2hrs and found his answers too valuable not too share 😆
I like the interview format. It is refreshing hearing Luke’s honest and frank answers to your questions. Although you touched serious topics, you still made it very entertaining! Loved the video! I wish you two and Luke consistent growing success and satisfation with your work! Love you guys. ❤❤
if you keep interviewing people like Luke Korns your numbers will go up.. If Luke reads this.. I started watching you during Covid lockdown.. love your vids.. I am 62. life is a rollercoaster. something new always seems to pop up when you need a new direction, interest or inspiration. I have never lost the love for life, exploring or experiencing new things. life is about meeting people, experiencing things anew, and just letting the joy of life fill you as often as possible. good luck to all three of you.
Great video! I'm a huge fan of Luke! I'm an older person running a very traditional business in the US. I have owned/operated a pizza restaurant in a small town USA, for over 30 years. I had the same fears as Luke early on....After 30 years with sales continually rising I have little fear about tomorrow, but I can relate to fear of not sucsending at everything you do.
It was pretty nice hearing Luke chat openly about things. Really love his videos and have been enjoying his newer content sharing other people's stories. It's good to know where his head is at too. PS can't imagine how long this took to edit. All the snippets from his previous videos is a really nice touch!
Good video guys, great edit, the pace is on point, especially for interview, but it was criminally short, especially for long video format 🤭, why? With all this artist that you have access to, this can be the RU-vid artist podcast 🤷🏻, why not?
Ahh thank you Stan, appreciate you and the feedback! To be honest this is the first time we ever experienced with this format and we were not sure if our audience would want a much longer video out of this. But definitely thinking of how we can turn this into more of a series on our channel 😁
So.... some of the creators whom I've told that letting scores of people so very deep into your life risks personal emotional damage, get annoyed... Once their content moves from cute and original to maintaining the status, it gets even worse. We all remember Syncsta, right? Not having a protective agent, not having a professional team but going it all alone hones a lot of skills but inevitably leads to fade-out.
Las películas de Luke son increíbles, las historias inspiradoras, los paisajes cautivadores, la edición y narración perfecta.. ojalá nunca pierda la chispa y la pasión
Thanks for introducing this creator to me, how have I not seen him yet :O great discussions. What Rach said about balance really resonated with me as well, it's a whole extra mental struggle to have that balance and I feel like that's one more thing we'd rather not have to add to the mess in our heads haha Great vid guys, that editing at the beginning was top notch too
respect to you two and Luke. pursuing youtube as a career is def far from easy. seeing everyone I’ve watched burn out or do other things personally inspired me to go back to school and keep the stuff I make as a hobby. the dream is to be a travel nurse half the year and create things during the other half for fun. not sure how realistic that is but yeah haha. Anyways, happy to see Luke making awesome films still and great interview from you guys!
Luke! Ive noticed youre getting more fame from pod casts from youre past videos than youre actual channel, u were on a great streak, people love the spontanious travel vidios! Keep doing that! Youre like the the utube version of anthony bordain bro 👍👍👍👍👍
Hey guys, I recently finished reading a 574-page 2012 biography on John Wayne (1928-1979), who spent his first decade in Hollywood making cheap, quick, mini-movies before he broke into the next level. Is that much different than young content creators today? In those early years he spent about as much time doing the work as content creators today, with similar ratios of success vs. failures measured in box office. Life is a long and winding road.
So far, I've been very successful at avoiding being a successful RU-vidr, so have dodged all of the associated, painful realities. Unless the😺😸run out of food, while I'm asleep, I live a pain free existence.. sharp claws!
haha love this 😂 It seems like you have figured out how to live a peacful life...except for getting clawed in the middle of the night. That doesn't sound very fun haha
