Excellent video for any type of creator on youtube looking to become the next "thing" and realizing what more goes on behind the scenes for RU-vid! Sharing the perspective from the creator side is not easy in the slightest, but you guys managed to capture it pretty well with Ammar. Well done!

Than you, appreciate it :D This chat with Ammar was actually part of a bigger video we posted where we talked to a bunch of creators to try and uncover the realities of this career path. Interesting to find out that it's not as shiny as it looks from the outside!

Wow. The question of whether he's made it or not hit deeply. Ammar's answer is genius : if you love what you're doing, then continuing to do that is making it. It's not a goal, but a process :) btw from meeting you two years ago to seeing you interview Ammar from the freaking Yes House, I'd say you're making it

I like the thousand fans concept! That is a better way to approach "fame" and also I feel like this is way less stressful than the: I I HAVE TO DO THIS BIG THING FOR MYSELF. Great video guys you amaze me constantly! :D

Great questions of the BTS behind the game, unfortunately people prefer the story without the truth >.< but that’s my bias, I reckon the work you guys do will eventually pay off by asking more and more human questions. Like Ammar said : “Why” Is always a good way to start

yoooo doubt y'all remeber but its tim yoon. i met u guys at vidsummit! just had a thought while watching it. genuinely sick editing. but i was thinking maybe these interviews dont get the views they deserve cus there's not much a product market fit for interviews that are cut up cus ppl that watch interviews wanna get in DEEP with the creator (like colin and samir podcasts) while cut up interviews signal to the audience that they will not be able to get as deep into the conversation, hence causing dropoff. could be more interesting if y'all took a creator interview style approach (using ur guy's awesome network for top creators), but taking a different approach to colin and samir (cus they talk mainly about business) by asking the creators deep questions as you guys did here (sorta like anthony padilla's channel where he digs into deep questions with spectacle and polorizing humans to humanize), instead y'all do that with creators BUT spread the podcast out to like 1 to 2 hours. obviously structuring the interview so the questions are cut into a different order to maximize retention. would be a tough pivot and a new skillset to build, but it think it would be a killer strat for inbound clients and would have a MUCH better product market fit (cus I personally wanna watch that). regardless tho good luck whichever way yall take ur content!

Hey Tim, yes ofc we remember you!! Really appreciate you for taking the time to leave this comment. I think we are pretty aligned with a lot of what you mentioned. This video with Ammar is more of a one off. We had asked him this question for another video that we made called "How far would you go for RU-vid success", that video is already posted on our channel and we only used a little snippet of this answer but we felt like this full convo was too good not to share. We didn't really cut much out of it haha, it was just a short spontaneous interaction that we had with him. But for the future we are actually planning to move a little bit more in the direction you mentioned...not sure if we will post full hour vids yet, but maybe will experiment with a shorter 20-30 min cut down on our channel and then uploading the full convos as a podcast. Lets seee.
