In this video, we take look at the throw of 16yr old, Luke the Nuke Littler.
My channel is exclusive to darts only content. I create my content as I simply love to play darts and want to help other dart players improve with my own channel.
All my video's are based on how to play darts as well as advise on equipment and general darts setup with the aim to guide any new players in their darting journey as well as provide more experienced or even professional dart players with dart content to help improve.
I throw around an 80 average myself with my left hand due to injury and dartitis in my right arm.
I may, on occasion, use footage from the Professional darts corporation (the P.D.C) as well as The British Darts organisation, WDF and Modus. These are used under fair use legislation, and all credit should be given to the rightful creators.

@redline350zHR yes sir. I added my second finger to the barrel and spent about a month or so tea hing my wrist to bend back like this to learn and be able to use my wrist like this to throw. It marks my throws so nice, comfortable, accurate as we as powerful with alot let effort imo... not to mention the way it makes my darts stand so beautifully in the board so I can see.

Even people who don't play are asking me about him because I play a lot of darts. I don't remember that happening since someone like Tiger Woods. Very exciting for the sport, I hope he continues his progression and goes where we all hope he will.

Perfect analysis and hints for probable weak points Luke can work on to get more constant results. Would be interesting to get an analysis of one own throw.

Amazing lad. Incredible how good his throw is despite his young age, and how accurate he is despite that slight Mardle memorial turn. If he's not going to win at least four World Championships and become #1 in the Order of Merit in the near future, I'm from Venus.

yes good points made , he walks on his last dart , not picked up and needs to get rid of that . my top tip is play and hold 4 darts , so the third is thrown like the second , plus a backup if point breaks .
@Straightdarts
@Straightdarts 8 месяцев назад
Yeah, loads of fast players move on the last dart, you'd think they would work on it. 🤔 I could never keep consistent whilst walking. 😄 🤣

I noticed something in the final of the world championships, and saw it again yesterday in the Premier League: his “bad” darts tend to go left. Not because he’s pulled the dart left, but because the tip is clearly angled to the left when it hits the dartboard. This is clearly going to cause some inconsistency in the future. Can you see what’s causing this? And why don’t darts players have technical coaches to try to iron these faults out before they become too ingrained?? He’s already a phenomenal player, but if his darts went in straight he would be even better.
@Straightdarts
@Straightdarts 7 месяцев назад
Its probably causer by uneven present of the grip. And some do have coaches, to date I have coached 16 players that's have appeared on T.V, most of them tour card holders. It's not common practice to have a coach yet, but it's getting there. :)

Hi, I'm curious to know if the professionals only train with one pair of darts at a time or, for example, they have 2 pairs in their hand so they don't walk back and forth every time
@Straightdarts
@Straightdarts 8 месяцев назад
One set, your first dart is tge hardest and most import dart. When that dart goes wrong is difficult to hit bug and things cab get scrappy. But useing multiple sets, you practice the most important darter the leased. :)

@kvajeblostari Me too! The first two darts are usually good trebles such as 20, 18 or 19, then the third darts hit either the 1, 5, 3, or 7 if I'm playing the 19 segment😂
@redline350zHR
@redline350zHR Месяц назад
Ive learned from vids/coaches etc to practice with 4 darts..or 6 (if you have 2 sets) bc you need to stray away from the mind associating the 3rd dart as the ‘last dart’ -now i admit, I don’t know how to correlate the reason for this but something with the mind knowing it’s the last dart there’s less focus than the first two if I remember correctly. Practicing with four darts trains your mind to perform/focus as if you have another dart left

How the hell do they manage the get the darts so close to each other, like the tips are touching?
@Straightdarts

Long points help at that level, but its a case of remembering the path your arm went down on the throw and replicating it. :)

@@Straightdarts aye I get that but the width of the darts and when we’re playing if it touches a dart already in then it knocks it offline no matter how slight the touch is. I will never understand it🤣😂🤣😂

Idk how to explain this but strictly with practicing 7days a week (for at least 1.5 hrs) you create muscle memory with the throw. Looking/aiming at your target w/ ‘tunnel vision’ as id describe it, AND WITH TIME/PRACTICE, and i mean practice…. It is so rewarding & satisfying to watch the consistency as weeks go by, while tweaking & RE-ADJUSTING little things that seem to change slightly here&there, you can most definitely have the barrells + points within MILLIMETERS of eachother. “Grouping” ….im sure youve heard the word, but search on RU-vid ‘dart grouping’ & enjoy. Ive been throwing for almost a year now bc i have become healthily obsessed with the game of darts. I throw & work on high-scoring, doubles (outs in x01), 🎯 /corks, and trebles etc. i completely stopped practicing ONLY treble 20’s and it improved my game greatly. Apologize for this lengthy reply, but if you made it this far, wish everyone the best with improving their game & skill!

How does he grip the dart? I’ve not seen any pics showing this?
@Straightdarts
@Straightdarts 7 месяцев назад
He grips the dart with his first finger and thumb, right on the rear of the barrel (slightly on the shafts) and then uses his ring ringer as a stabiliser, touching the center of ther barrel very lightly. :)

Isn't it peculiar that his thumb and index finger are at home on the shaft and not the barrel? That bugs me. All the attention, science, and engineering in the world to produce the most sophisticated barrels known to humanity, and he holds his dart by the shaft. WTF?

Few pro players do that like for example smith, humphries
@Straightdarts
@Straightdarts 8 месяцев назад
It's because it make the dart play more front heavy. Steve Beaton and Andy Fordham used to do it as well. That what there darts kicked so much like Luke's. It's much easier to get the height and power and when you consider how short luke is, its definitely a big help. :)
