I am a 70 yr old woman and I stumbled across Scott's book. I am loving this It is the best book I have listened to. The narrator is just amazing to listen to.
I really enjoy Luke’s character development, the idea to switch the story to Luke’s perspective is really genius and his story doesn’t seem forced or anything. It all flows well
I’ve had a moment where I was just so upset I walked away nothing compared to Luke maybe 15-20miles in total but it just feels really good story wise and Luke is just awesome
Scott, I literally can't find the words to tell you how absolutely incredible this series is and how talented you are as an author. I am an avid reader and have been since I was young; that being said, this is, hands down, one of if not the best series I have ever read (listened to lol). Your writing is PHENOMENAL! I have flown through every single book so far and cannot wait for more. The narration is also amazing. The narrarator can absolutely make or break being able to listen to a book and this guy.. top notch. I CANNOT WAIT FOR MORE. Please don't ever stop writing, this is what you were born to do 💕
When you described the "Brotherhood" bullies harassing the boy with the ball in the market I felt anger boiling up inside me. I'm an easy going/laid back person and it takes a lot to get me upset but that one really got my juices flowing. I was enveloped in this cathartic moment until I realized this is just a character in a book and not a real person. Such a great story and the characters are so well fleshed out that it is effortless to be taken along this engaging journey. At times it is easy to forget your listening to an audiobook, more like listening to a good friend recount an amazing tale from a past life less traveled.
Scott, you have made the apocalypse unlike any other . And your characters are great, both the good, and the evil. I am going thru my second listen on you tube here, and it is as good as it was the first read. Thank you Scott.💥👍
I welcome the ads because I get to hear these great books for free. As much as I would like to buy them for when I have kids I sadly dont have the money for them. So for all the authors doing this thank you!

That's great Joshua, I think they would based on feedback from other parents and I think its nice for them to have a real book in their hands too, I know I loved receiving them when I was a kid.

Does anyone else find themselves telling Luke to go home? I have my earbuds in and when everyone looks at me I realize I said it out loud. I shared American Falls with my teenagers and their friends. We also discuss the storyline in my classroom during writing. I’m trying to get my students interested in both reading and writing. My classroom is to young for the story in it’s entirety so I leave some of it out but my students love it and they will write fast and furiously adding their own ideas to the story.

Our curriculum has us finishing up the school year writing fractured fairytales so with a little creative time management on my end we are finding time for our versions of America Falls. Unfortunately this is our last week of school but I’m hopeful your story has sparked a flame that continues to grow. :)

It’s free and some parts of the story are good but man most of the survivors are so dumb. I think I’ll just stop at the brotherhood part lol atleast it made my road trip go fast thanks for that

After Luke has seen other communities flourish with hot showers, oatmeal and many other things, when he gets back he should either change the structure of all leadership or have Issac removed completely.
When Tommy killed 2 people… why did his sis stop him? He had the only gun… he already killed 2 so why did sis think the “brothers” would just leave? Her fear blinded and controlled her. 🤬🤬🤬
“We’ll be tommy tomorrow.” Ummm when the “brothers” first came… they came back the very next day to attack. Why does she think they’ll have time to sit around and wait till the next day to bury tommy????
I like the story but he is not that good of a writer except in the confrontations. I mean he is not very descriptive and uses simple cliches and a high school vocabulary. Maybe these books are for young adults.
The book is free and fantastic. I could say “Would you like him to read it for you too? But, ahem, well, he does read it too!” He deserves something something for his time. It’s a great series and we get to listen to it for free. If there’s too many advertisements for people, just move on to a less well written and narrated book. Take care and stay safe. ☘️🌝🌲
Well Dianna, your brothers dead and it’s your cowardice that killed him. Man, the hallmark of a great story is in my ability to get emotionally involved with the characters.
